Meant to post this a long while back but seriously, what the heck with Ellie, why on earth did they kill the only other character with the same voice-acting chops as Sam’s, YEESH. RIP Ellie.

I started doing Six to Start's Superhero Workout earlier in the summer, then got sick and went on vacation and sort of stopped. But I've gotten back into it this week and man, it's so good. The story is whatever, I honestly couldn't even tell you what the plot is (you're in a fancy robot suit? Or maybe you ARE a fancy robot suit? And Ellie Maxstead and Jack Holden have different names and talk to you about spores?), but I love that it's short circuits (I can do anything, even burpees, for 30 seconds at a time) (actually that's a lie, I physically cannot do grasshopper push-ups for any amount of time, YET, because I still do push-ups on my knees), and even a 30 minute session doesn't feel that long because it's broken up into such small pieces. I find myself doing the parts I hate, like burpees, and distracting myself from how much I hate it by trying to guess what comes next and when it's something like crunches I am happy because it's a break, and when it's something like high knees or tuck jumps I don't even mind because "it's only 30 seconds, and maybe the crunches will be next". Basically, my goal is to be very strong and very fast and very Runner Five by the end of the summer. The first time I manage to do 30 seconds of grasshopper push-ups properly I'm probably going to go out and, like, buy myself a pony to celebrate.
