Cover Art: “Rebel Cafe” digital artwork by Ally Curry

Ally’s art is in two parts and was inspired by the titles of this issue. Ally was really excited that her pieces got to be the cover arts because now her first and last contributions to The Rebellion have been cover art. Ally is involved in multiple clubs at ND and Softball and Cheer, as well as being a Digital Content Editor for The Rebellion. She will go to Colorado School of Mines in the fall for Environmental Engineering.

Anthony Lucius has an assured, rapid flow that is as key to his band’s rhythm as the drums. This Illinois-based emcee makes good use of live instrumentation — the band loops beneath him, but builds subtly at the right moments. Travis Scott III injects a suggestion of jazz with a moaning saxophone that fits nicely with Morgan Ellerbrake’s looped keyboards. It’s a dark and resilient performance, completing its lyrical themes with a noirish beat.

Dearborn attorneys are attempting to shield Mayor John B. O'Reilly from being questioned on the record in a multi-million-dollar civil lawsuit filed after a fatal police shooting in December 2015, court filings show.

Dearborn attorney Laurie M. Ellerbrake on Nov. 14 filed a motion requesting a protective order that would block the mayor's deposition by attorneys for the estate of Kevin Matthews, who was shot nine times and killed during a chase and struggle with Dearborn Police Cpl. Chris Hampton on Dec. 23, 2015.

A ruling on the request hasn't been issued.
