(A little lore underneath the cut)

When Elkstar was a kit she got caught in camp while a wildfire broke out that burned her back (that’s a scar on her back)

Somehow in the panic an elk burst into camp hooking her by the ear and carrying her out of the fire. The medicine cat ended up not being able to get all the shards of the elks antler out of her ear and two pieces got stuck. Her ear was shredded in the process.

After becoming an apprentice she asked to be renamed to Elkpaw, which was granted. She isn’t upset that the Elk’s antler got stuck in her ear. She actually thinks it is a blessing and a gift from StarClan. Elkstar is probably the most in tune with the forest and introduced new rules to the neighboring clans about how to respect the environment. She is widely respected across all the clans and is know as a wise and noble leader.

Icestar ->

Icestar - Gray she-cat with dark blue eyes and a pink nose

Backstory: Icestar is the leader of Thornclan. Born to Freezeclaw and Smoketail, she is half Thornclan and half Beetleclan. Struggling to decide where to live and also look after herself, she spent a lot of time in her kithood being alone. Her sister, Riverkit, never felt a connection between them. They have older siblings, Pinefrost, Frostheart, and Berryshine. Berryshine choosing to live with their father in Beetleclan. This tore Icekit apart and she struggled to build a relationship with her older sister and father. Icekit eventually was apprenticed to Vinewhisker, who encouraged her to open herself up to her clan. Icepaw grew to hold a grudge against Beetleclan and became loyal to Thornclan. She earned her warrior name Iceshine and became a mentor to Flickerpaw. After a flood in which the former deputy, Wheatfur, died. Iceshine was named deputy of Thornclan. In the same flood, her younger brother, Stormkit, died. Freezeclaw decided to join Beetleclan after and stay with Smoketail. Enraged with her mother, Iceshine grew to hate Beetleclan ever more and swore to never speak to her parents again. After a while, Freezeclaw, Smoketail, and Creekstar where murdered by a rouge. Grief stricken after becoming leader, Icestar has vowed to devote herself to her remaining family. After a strange kittypet is attacked by a hawk in Thornclan territory, Icestar decides to take him in.

Pinefrost ->

Pinefrost - Scarred dark brown color-point tom with a white chest and icy blue eyes

Backstory: Raised for a while outside of clan territory, Pinekit was born alongside Frostkit and Berrykit. Their parents, Freezeclaw and Smoketail, where exiled from the clans because of an ongoing war between Thornclan and Beetleclan. After both Pinekit and Frostkit became deathly ill, Freezeclaw and Smoketail where forced to travel back to Thornclan for help. Creekstar accepted the kits and Freezeclaw but kicked Smoketail out. Elkstar, from Beetleclan, came into the camp and demanded a kit. Creekstar allowed Elkstar to take Berrykit. Torn between his family and his clan, Smoketail attempted to return Berrykit back to Freezeclaw and join Thornclan, but was turned away. Growing up in Thornclan was hard for Pinekit. Looked down on by most warriors he always was trying to prove himself. Mentored by Wheatfur, Pinepaw got into many fights and battles, growing to become respected. While his brother, Frostpaw never really cared about his heritage. After Freezeclaw had another litter of kits, Pinepaw was given his warrior name of Pinefrost. He mentored Palepaw and was thrilled when his younger sisters became warriors. After a flood, in which his younger brother, Stormkit, and Wheatfur died. Freezeclaw left Thornclan to be with Smoketail. Understanding his mother's reasons, he never grew apart from her. But when his brother, Frostheart, had to go on a personal quest and leave the clan. Pinefrost grew bitter towards him. Only when he returned did Pinefrost forgive his brother. When a rouge attacked the clans and killed Creekstar and Pinefrost's parents. He became protective of his younger sister, Riverheart. When his other younger sister, Icestar, became leader. She choose him to be deputy.

Heartcloud ->

Heartcloud - Cream colored tom with delicate paws and amber eyes

Backstory: Born to Wheatfur and Lakewhisper, Heartkit was a lonely kit. He often found himself in the medicine den helping Mudfish and Honeyheart. He asked to be apprenticed to one of them, in which Creekstar agreed. Mudfish became his mentor and he grew fond of the off putting she-cat. He defended her and always made excuses for her snappy demenor. After Honeyheart passed from old age, Mudfish named Heartpaw a full medicine cat. He was given the name Heartcloud and has become very talented in speaking with Starclan. Although he is young, he is very well respected among the clans.

Mudfish ->

Mudfish - Dark brown she-cat with scars along her flank and yellow eyes

Backstory: Originally training to be a warrior, Mudpaw was always quick to jump into action. One day in a battle, she was attempting to attack a badger when she was trambled and badly injured. Treated by Honeyheart, Mudpaw became intrested in herbs. She often found herself collecting them without being asked and offering herself to help without being needed. She asked to be a medicine cat apprentice and was approved. Although she kept her snappy and rude behavior. Still helping in battles and fights, she was critized for acting both like a warrior and a medicine cat. She finally choose to solely become a medicine cat and was given the name, Mudfish. She had two kits, Beartooth and Twistedtree. But their father left to become a kittypet after their birth. Mudfish still is respected and mainly feared throughout the clans.

Spiderclaw ->

Spiderclaw - Black and white tom with blue eyes

Backstory: Born to Cobwebpatch and Minnowstripe, alongside his sister Cricketkit. He grew up after the flood and was traumatized by Stormkit's death. He grew up sullen and was an off-putting kit. Striken by death, he often was a negative cat and never really grew out of it. He met Palepaw as an apprentice and fell in love with her. They grew up to be warriors together and was given the names Spiderclaw and Palefoot. They had a litter of kits, Sweetkit and Featherkit. Although Featherkit passed away from green cough. Spiderclaw never really got over her death.

Granted, the way the game words his death is a little weird, I thought there would've been a message along the lines of "He lost the rest of his lives", but otherwise, I'm fine. Now we have Fallenstar (a pretty cool name)

in my defense: i do not control the hyperfixation.

tundraclan was founded by three kits, inspired by loner challenges. one of the founders died early and another kept having her mates and kits die young (and deputies... and medicine cats... sorry for the lasting grief, elkstar). but one founder's bloodline has lived on for all 2500 moons and im very proud of that.

my favorite story from the clan so far took place around its 1500th moon, when the medicine cat scorchmoon was tasked with carrying out an exorcism. see, there was this dark forest cat, cicadasky, who kept getting statuses of wanting revenge on the clan and trying to contact living cats, and shortly afterward a kit was born who coincidentally looked a lot like her. so i decided that cicadasky got herself reborn as cicadakit. except cicadakit had a soul of her own and wasn't keen on sharing her body with some evil ghost. to cicadasky's surprise, the kit she inhabited was spiritually strong and capable of preventing her from doing anything worse than some petty mischief, not quite the epic revenge plot she had in mind. when she was 22 moons old, the now-warrior cicadashadow's mate told her she was pregnant, and that was the push cicadashadow needed to evict her dark forest parasite for good. she approached scorchmoon, and the two traveled to a fallen meteor that was a sacred place for the clan, believed to have been sent directly from starclan. with the holy power nearby, and a rushing river below, scorchmoon banished cicadasky back to the dark forest, but not before cicadasky gathered the last of her strength and shoved scorchmoon into the river. fortunately scorchmoon survived and went on to raise a family with her polycule, and cicadashadow changed her name to cicadalight and eventually went on to become leader. unfortunately cicadastar's mate and kits would die tragically young, a curse that seems to haunt most of my leaders since the beginning.

anyway it's crazy what lore you can come up with based solely on in-game statuses and timeskip events. im having lots of fun

Absolutely stuck on thinking about this one. For the record I am picturing them all with their Stuff because cat Radar in his jeep cap and glasses is way too cute.

Henry: Troutstar. Clan leader! Gray tabby. Nothing particularly notable about him but he definitely loses his last life as leader in a drowning incident.

Potter: Elkdapple, later Elkstar. Horse -something felt too on the nose. Small, brown ticked tabby. Fierce and dedicated deputy, exceptional Clan leader. Very enthusiastic about the farm on the territory.

Margaret: Firejaw! (lovingly provided by dante-wysteria from the MASHoles server, whose tumblr I unfortunately don't know) Fairly obviously a play on Hot Lips. Mostly white calico. Appointed deputy when cat!Potter becomes leader.

Frank: Ferretface. You have to, don't you? Brown with very faint colorpoints. He thinks this makes him better than everyone else. It does not.

Charles: Eagletail. While I wanted to do something with Silver- as a play on his silver spoon upbringing, I'm picturing him as huge, fluffy, and dark ginger, so I went with a bird that's considered noble. -tail because he'd get too much of an ego if he got a fancy suffix. Much like show Charles, he's thoroughly convinced he's too impressive to do any hunting/fighting.

Hawkeye: Hawkeye. The genesis of the idea. Slim brownish tabby with white paws. Excellent hunter but firmly refuses to fight.

Trapper: Juniperheart. (also provided by dante-wysteria!) A bit of a play on how gin is junipery. Light ginger and just barely tabby.

BJ: Brantjaw. Doing the best I can with very little to work with. There just aren't that many good B prefixes and J suffixes. Cream and white tabby with dark facial markings.

Mulcahy: Lilysong. The medicine cat! Lily- from show Mulcahy's flower garden, -song from his extraordinarily impassioned speeches to camp. Fantastically competent medicine cat. Cream and white tabby, potentially cat!BJ's littermate if we want to weave some of that in there. I am picturing him in a tiny panama hat.

Radar: Littleear. I feel like the name on this one explains itself. The medicine cat apprentice/secondary med cat. Tortoiseshell! Either because he's trans or because his color genetics are just weird. Has Visions, but isn't particularly competent with the healing side of being a medicine cat.

Klinger: Opalfeather. This one is by far the most of a stretch but I wanted to give him a fancy name. Come at me validwarriorcatsnames. Fluffy white cat. Horribly incompetent fighter, reasonably competent hunter, but exceptional at taking care of kits.

Okay cool that's out of my brain now and I can move on

Deeply niche fandom servers are great because I just had a lengthy discussion on the basis of "Hawkeye is a valid warrior cats name, therefore, what would the rest of the MASH characters be called if they were cats"

Working on updating pretty much all of my characters. Some got very little updated and others got a pretty big redo. Overall I think they’re way more appealing and cohesive, and I’m getting better at drawing tabbies and torties

Tall and proud, Elkstar is the leader of Thunderclan. Admittedly petty, Elkstar is quick to accuse the other clans (mainly Windclan) and has stolen quite a bit of territory from them.

Many senior warriors and elders worry that Elkstar will bite off more then he can chew, especially since Thunderclan is still recovering from two devestating winters. The younger cats are enthusiastic and admire Elkstar though, and try their best to impress him. ...Well, most of the younger cats anyways.

first post on the blog!! :’) figured we’d kick things off with our fearless leader, Elkstar! she’s a bit tough but has been a wise leader for the clan. 

below the cut is just an old rp style bio for her from back in the day that figured i might as well include!

Elkstar -- Though long legged, Elkstar is built with muscle. With short and rather coarse looking fur, she is a seal-point, the darkest parts being her face, ears, legs and tail. Her sides, shoulders, haunches have some shading, as does her chest. She has a white muzzle and a small flash along her nose up to her eyes as her sole markings. Her tail is a bob, once long but lost in a fight. She also has a few scars peeking out from her fur on her jaw and right foreleg. Her eyes are a pale, crystalline blue.

Pineshell is the deputy of HeathClan

Honestly he is a huge hobo and kinda lazy despite being strict. He’s is really just a chill guy that takes his job seriously. Surprisingly he hasn’t had an apprentice yet. I think Elkstar is going to give him one of the kits. He has actually been really close with one, which I’m going to make his apprentice once they age. Hehe no spoilers! >:p Also he’s got a little overbite going on that makes his teeths pop out lmao.

Ngl I headcanon him as polyaffectionate and aromatic. He is a big flirt but has never had and romantic attraction to anyone. I love the idea to much tho sooooo this is canon!

I’ll probably update the design pages with flags and pronouns soon~ So keep a lookout for that hehe! ;)

Valentine Drabbles (Part Two)

Oh hey! I actually talked about these two in a previous story! Bluefire and Elkstar! If you want to know a little more about them, I provided a link to Constellation above!

If you asked him when he fell in love, Elkstar wouldn’t be able to tell you. In all honesty, he can’t pinpoint an exact moment. His love for his mate accumulated that slowly for him, like honey dripping from its combs. One day they weren’t together, and the next they combined (and had to repair) their nests. And he wouldn’t change it for the world.

Bluefire has a completely different answer. He fell in love with Elkclove a little before the fire, but he didn’t act on his feelings on the younger warrior until far after, especially since his recovery was long and arduous. When the moment was right though, Bluefire could recall it clear as day, he quietly told him his honest feelings and that no matter what, he’d still stick by him. Elkclove in return gave the white-furred warrior a shiny white pebble the next day. It had a matching streak on its side.

“It reminded me of you when I found it.” Elkclove admitted. Since that day, they’ve been inseparable.

When Elkstar became leader, Bluefire was his main supporter, always standing by his side. But, he knew he wasn’t fit to become deputy, that wasn’t the warrior’s call in life. He was content, even in their twilight years together.

(As of prepping this post, I realized I never provided an screenshot of Bluefire until now. Whoops! Also ignore the collar I don't remember when he got it.)

(And Elkstar! Would you believe me that there have been three leaders after his death? Me neither, there's a bit of a story to that I might post about later)
