Here's a little advice for Eden Runs. (If u want)

Don't stall on fireplaces. You can of course recharge there, but don't stay for too long, once the hail stops- RUN, RUN THERE IS NO TOMORROW INTO THE NEXT FIRE SHRINE. (While getting some statues lit on the way)

The shards still partially hit you even under cover, so once you see an opportunity RUN, if you keep going back and forth to a lit fire shrine whenever you get hit, you'll just waste your time stalling when you could have gotten those statues wing-lighted (I made up that term).

I advise NOT doing this pattern (coz you'll be doomed):

Light Torch

Leave

Attempts to insert wing light into statue

Get hit by shard

Go back to the torch

Recharge

Still get hit by shard

Recharge

Attempts to leave

Gets hit by shard again

Go back to the same torch

And over and over again

You're just gonna waste time and wing lights that could've been inside the Statues already.

Just keep running whilst jumping, that way you minimize your chance of getting hit by a shard.

Cult of the Lamb: Shamura

These are what Shamura says before kicking our ass, and also happen to be their last words.

All of Shamura's dialogue often don't make sense or relevant. I mean…..you can't blame them for having a head injury, causing memory loss. But even though they have their fresh brain exposed, their intelligence and wisdom certainly didn't go down.

Again what they are saying dont always makes sense, specially that it's on poem form.

But it has double meanings

"He of havoc" (Chaos - Leshy) "He of blight" (Illness - Kallamar) "She of hunger" (Starvation - Heket) "They of might" (Power / Strength - Shamura)

There were five bishops (including Narinder)

"Five becomes four becomes three becomes two becomes one becomes nothing"

They are basically talking about us murdering the bishops one by one.

We murder all the four bishops, with Shamura being the last, but there is STILL ONE, Narinder - the one who waits.

I SWEAR this game has interesting lore, I wish we could expound on that ya know, and not just……….play the game to clean poop…

Days of Color

*Inhales* Now folks, there's three possibilities on this post.

1. It will reach many people and go like a breeze and I don't have any headaches.

2. It will reach many people but I get destroyed in the comments and I get in trouble.

3. This post will be a total flop, and I will be sobbing on the floor over the hundred words I put into this.

But I don't really care that much, so I'll go ahead and say my words for this event.

Days of Color (formerly Days of Rainbow) can stand for many things. Now it's pretty obvious that it's the Sky counterpart for Pride Month because of the same date they occur, and profits made by Days of Color goes to The Trevor Project (basically suicide prevention to LGBTQIA+ people).

But we all know that Sky tries to be inclusive as much as possible, they never really stick to one meaning or goal only. THEY CAN'T EVEN ESTABLISH A PROPER CONCRETE LORE (*angry theorist noises*)🤬. And that's why the Events in Sky - despite being based on real life holidays never outright stuck to it.

Days of Love can be Valentines or Friendship Day. Days of Feast can be just a winter holiday or Christmas. Days of Bloom can reference Easter or Spring Equinox. And many more that I'm too tired to write.

Now the two real life equivalents of Days of Color are Pride Month🏳��‍🌈 and Holi (Color Festival) from India🇮🇳. But it also celebrates diversity and friendship and every other meanings. In fact that's why the name was changed from "Rainbow" to "Color" so it can be more inclusive to everyone. Sky has always tried to be inclusive as possible, since one of the main points of the game is to be a welcoming community featuring diversity. Sky has tried to consider every view of different people across the globe. (Kinda taking the middle ground instead of choosing one side).

So it doesn't matter that much what view or opinions you have on Days of Color

❤️You can see it as a symbol of LGBTQIA+, and that's valid.

❤️You can see it as a symbol related to religion, and that's valid.

❤️You can see it as appreciating the different colors of the world, and that's valid.

❤️You can see it as a representation of phenomenons in nature, and that's valid.

❤️You can apply your own meaning and that's valid.

It's an open event for people with their interpretation. So uhhh.....*gulp* (⁠・⁠_⁠・⁠;⁠) telling people that their opinion is not applicable to Days of Color, wouldn't be so correct. And also telling them to stop putting meanings to Days of Color would go against the games values, as Sky actually encourages it. 🌈

But as we all know these human meanings are just figments of emotional imagination and rainbows are nothing but a phenomenon caused by the bending and refraction of light. 🙃 (Humans are silly delusional creatures that like putting meanings into things. ☺️)

But yeahhh... throwing a fit whenever someone has an opinion on rainbows (or Sky) is pointless. Both of you can't be right or wrong, since rainbows themselves never stood up for anything (cuz it ain't alive obviously lol), and Sky has always been an open world - with the only main messages being friendship and kindness. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷

Gods in my head (Work in progress)

1. Lore about the stoopid Gods I made. (I don't have a damned title for this)

I'm going to start from the most important (or powerful) to the least powerful.

💙 Grand Creator (Story writer) any/all pronouns

This dude was the first God, basically created all the gods and deities after him.

He decides the 'story' of everything. All of history within this world is planned and managed by him.

He has control over all things occuring but has limited control over souls (humans and gods).

Sort of like the Christian God.

She doesn't have a form or a voice of her own, if you want to represent her in a physical way you'll just use the other gods for example.

They move in mysterious ways, unpredictable af. They are supposed to be like the author of the story. They do care, but they also won't hesitate to torment you to have a good story.

"I am the world, and the world is me. Every voice you hear is mine, and my voice is all that there is."

💕💕 2. Principles of the Universe.

These are angels that govern the world, and have direct communication with god.

They are basically God's officers, they do what He wants, they govern the natural world (including gods).

They have a cosmic 🌌 theme and have powers based on shit like time, space, reality and all them bs.

They do not have the privilege of creation. They cannot create lifeforms, or rule over humans.

They can be considered archivist, police, messenger, guide, and manager.

💙 Principle of Death. (Grim reaper?)

This is the angel of death.

His main job is to take all the human souls that have passed away and put them in the afterlife.

But he can also completely delete things (and people) completely out of existance.

There wasn't an afterlife at first, but they kinda felt pity for the humans, and wanted to give them a place to rest and reincarnate.

As much as the creator can make things, he can also destroy them in an instant.

He supposed to represent loss. As long as something exist, there will be a time where it wouldn't anymore.

Death is very calm and solemn, he is not aggressive. He is not a 'destroyer'.Things always come to an end.

He is depicted as a really old dude, who walks slow, is quiet, and doesn't really give a f. (chill mysterious grandpa)

I would describe his presence like a very warm faint gentle breeze.

Death moves slowly, but it never stops walking. And it may just show up in your doorstep without you noticing.

"Among the principles of the universe, truth, order, justice...only death always remain certain."

💙 Principle of truth. it/its pronouns.

This girl knows EVERYTHING.

She is aware of everything that is happening.

Every action you make, every word you say, EVERYTHING.

She knows the absolute truth, you cannot make up stories in front of her.

She also can peer into your mind to see what your exact intentions are.

She knows everything that is happening on the outside and has memory of it, but she can't know what everyone is thinking. She can only do so in real time and only brief.

She basically a cctv camera, and your search history.

She is also serious and chill like Death, almost same personality but more soft.

"Humans have debated on what good and bad truly is, but they have no idea that the absolute truth bears no weight in moral."

💙 Principle of Faith It/they

God assigned them to make sure that humans and Gods follow their designated stories.

They are sort of like a director or manager, and God is the boss/writer.

They know what God's plans are and the only one who could perceive it.

You can say they are an oracle of some sorts.

But they like...keep a catalogue of papers, dictating God's plan for every single individual.

"Hmph...humans try to change their fate, but everything is already set in stone according to the Creator's plan."

💙 Principle of Order. They/them

Kinda like a president?

God communicates them the laws and rules that have to be followed, and they execute it.

"The laws I present, are the laws the Creator himself have given me. Everyone must fall in like and obey, including all humans, gods, and angels."

💙 Principle of Justice they/them

They go after those who have broken the law and have offended others.

They can be considered as a punisher, or police. But of course they are fair and square, and don't tolerate injustice or corruption.

They are sort of scary and grumpy, they can and WILL punish you if you did something wrong.

"Injustice and corruption are the things that I firmly despise, and humans have done them more than I could ever count."

💙 Angel of purpose. They/he

He is the one mostly communicating with humans about God's plan and terms.

Sort of like those angels in the bible, bringing message to humans.

He tells gods and humans, what their purpose should be and what is their role in life.

He is very approachable, and just really really nice. Humans are not scared of him or hate him, they completely adore him even.

The other deities have mixed opinions on him, some say he barely acts like how an angel should. While some just respect him as he is since it's part of who he is.

"Everyone has an importance on this world, everyone has a role they play. Humans may be weak, but you cannot deny that they are meant for great things."

Fun fact, the angel of purpose has actually been replaced once. The original angel of purpose was stripped of his title and power, and was replaced by another angel that is *almost* a clone of him (they made him a bit different but he basically does the same thing.)

As to why the original Angel of Purpose was replaced, that's another can of worms. But basically he's 'fallen'.

So uhh yeah, I got permanently banned (I think) From the Official: Sky Children of the Light Community.

I have absolutely no idea what rule I broke this time. But y'all won't see any of my memes there anymore. Or my Aurora art since I didn't get to post it.

Of course I'm still on the verge of crying for this shit, but at this point I'm on my last straw and I'm tired of their bullshit.

For a game that is supposed to be inclusive and ✨nicey-nicey✨ they are not so forgiving and considerate. All of my offences were not even really harmful.

I absolutely love Sky with my whole HEART AND SOUL, and the community is the best thing ever. It's painful to have that connection severed, since I posted so many things in there and that group was one of the main reasons I still continue to play the game, but ahrgh… (ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ) *teary eyed* I guess that won't be returned.

Somehow I wish that I didn't even post in that group in the first place, so I wouldn't be mourning anything.

Rest in peace Dark Noot, your memes and art shall be buried deep down in the dirt of inconsideration. 🙃👌

Sky Memory Candle Update

Ok here's the thing. I don't think the redesign of the Memory Candles is because of visual purposes.

It's for….. drum roll 🥁 LORE AND WORLD BUILDING! 😀

Each season they give us a snippet of lore and slightly strengthen their world building. And since this season focuses on Memory Projectors and their property and uses, then of course TGC would have wanted to give a little revamp to our Memory Projectors.

Candles and Shrines that project images technically don't make sense for the world of Sky, when N O N E of the technology of Sky uses candles outside of spirits or meditation. All technology/magic (primarily present in Vault) uses Crystals and Lanterns that is able to project images and even make a mini-matrix. It finally, FINALLY makes sense that Skykids would be using the tools our ancestors did to do the same thing.

I always wondered (in my moth days) how does the memory candles work?????

Coz in my moth brain:

❗Candle purposes: To give wax, an offering to the dead, to be connected to the dead (through meditation), and to activate other spiritual stuff that candles have in real life.

❗Paper Boat purposes: just a stupid paper that you could write stuff with.

❗And Crystal/Lantern purposes: used as a battery, used to power elevators, used to make projections/memory, create a matrix.

So my little moth brain was trying to figure out how the hek can a candle PROJECT AN IMAGE, and how can a simple candle shrine CREATE A MATRIX. MY BRAIN WAS LAGGING.

My mind is now in peace, now that everything makes sense. Skykids using magical spells to make a miniature version of the same Technology/Magic our ancestors did, makes sense and they are finally using the same things to do it.

Regarding the visual pollution going on, I don't think the redesign had a significant change to it. It will still be there as an annoying little mole, and unless TGC gives us an option to disable it on our settings menu, no amount of redesign could ever calm our frustration.

Some of the pros I see here however is that new players will immediately not mistake it for a regular candle. And it's more aesthetically pleasing rather than seeing a bunch of candles on the ground like something died in that spot.

Hollow Knight Lurien - The Best Dreamer

If you think he's not worth it, here are reasons to like Lurien:

🔸He has a butler (Yeah, yeah, Monomon has Quirel, and Herra has Hornet. But hey…I see no butler)

🔸He lives in a tall ass tower (Totally Rapunzel, I know. Wouldn't it be cool to live above the city, where everything looks so small and short in your perspective……. probably helps boost his height confidence in a way)

🔸He's on the City of Tears (Monomon has that shitty canyon with only jellyfishes, and Herra has the land no bug nor god will step upon. While Luri has this Grand D̶e̶p̶r̶e̶s̶s̶i̶n̶g̶ city.)

🔸He has the best the best security system (Herra has nothing, and while Monomom has Uuwu eh…Ummu?? Uunuu???? WHATEVER YOU SPELL THAT THING - it is easy AF. Watcher knights on the other hand…… will give you the most painful headache known to bugkind, seriously they can go smash their heads for Wyrms sake)

🔸HE DOES PAINTINGS (Might be biased coming from an artist, but paintings - especially ones that have architecture: are difficult to do.)

🔸He already had a special duty protecting Hallownest before becoming a dreamer. (Monomon also had the duty of preserving the Kingdom's knowledge, but Lurien was probably regarded as a protector or guardian of the city. It’s like……. being a security guard watching the CCTV footage on Walmart.)

🔸He was above the other dreamers (Anything that depicts the Dreamers always puts Lurien in the middle and is taller than the rest. I mean being in a high position do give you extra credit. And these monuments are created by the Pale King so there are some biases in there.)

🔸He ain't a quiter (Despite Monomon telling him the seals must break, because the Hollow Knight is weakening, he still believes that their protection must remain. Man of dedication I see…………or maybe he's just of those Wyrm boot licking assholes)

And most importantly……

🔸He is so mysterious; we don't know shit about him (This makes him good fanfic material)

If we are being honest here…

Gloating Narcissist is the only one who uses he/him pronouns, because he calls himself "the most handsome man in this world" and Prince replied "But you're the only man here".

Canonically he's the only spirit who has a confirmed gender, almost all spirit have gender neutral names and dont even talk 🤷 (although I recall one spirit having a gendered title).

They REALLY try to avoid gendered names as possible, like the king in LP was changed to Beckoning Ruler, the ashamed man was changed into Slouching Soldier. And many other more.

Of course everything is up for interpretation, yall can use any names or pronouns with the spirit and elders. But sometimes it just BAFFLES ME how people can be so ABSOLUTELY CERTAINLY CANONICALLY SURE of a spirits gender, they be like "nO, hE is A mAnnnnnn, wHy r U caLLinG hIm shee". Like dude…..we sky kids are basically LIGHT with bodies, not everything gotta have a gender.

The Owl House Theory About Philip Wittebane

Remember that glyphs don’t have magic of their own but rather command the magic around them (and possibly absorb magic in the process). So Glyphs need magic to be able to operate and that’s why they don’t work in the human realm.

Evil British man Philip here, wanted to have magic of his own (as his usual power-hungry self), so he started looking for glyphs. And He wanted to access it whenever he wants, so he tattooed the three glyphs he found on his arm.

But he MISSED the DAMN POINT.

As we saw with Luz's light glyph, it tends to consume the paper/or disappear when its casted. We see this with other glyphs as well. That’s why she needs to constantly draw glyphs rather than having one that she can reuse.

So what happens when you PERMANENTLY tattooed glyphs into your living flesh.........

The glyphs on Phil's arm are always active since they cant be extinguished. They need magic so they are looking for it in Phil's body. But Philip DOESN'T HAVE MAGIC, and because of this the glyphs are kinda eating his body. And the only thing that will stop this is consuming palismans....

Let's say that the magic within a palisman is similar to the raw magic that basilisks consume and can be taken out of them. It would have been a perfect source for Philip to give him temporary magic and ease the pain the glyphs are causing. He created this system of consuming palismans in exchange for magic and probably his own life.

But I doubt that a physiology of a human can handle all those raw magic...

He cant stop consuming palismans for he will die. He cant get rid of the glyphs because it probably fused with his body. He cant turn back to his normal form because he has gone too far. Its too late, he is the result of his own hunger for power, and he is buried in debt to undo it.

Lesson learned: Don’t be greedy and don’t tattoo glyphs in your body.

Note: This theory was created before the release of "Hollow Mind" some details might be invalid now and some changes should be made.

Golden Wastelands: A Basin of Pure Regret (a theory)

I was too blind to not notice this earlier 🙈

The reason the Wastelands has a FRIK TON of pipes is because they have attempted to drain the Dark Water or whatever liquid waste they had. We see these pipes connect from the main areas (Broken Temple, Graveyard, Battlefield) all the way to Shipwreck - where the pipes come to an end and that yucky mud is spilled in the beach into the ocean.

That's probably why massive bodies of water are polluted in Wastelands. Let’s say that the dark waters are some sort of liquid waste similar to the ones that are produced by industrial factories, here in my country - some lousy factories and establishments like to connect pipes to water sources like rivers and beaches, and dump ALL THEIR STUPID WASTE. Of course NATURALLY - THAT’S NOT GOOD!! They ended up polluting the oceans and caused the wildlife to die or either mutate, I have a theory that the reason crabs that have black spots are aggressive is because they have evolved to let the darkness be a part of them and consume light in return.

Wastelands is supposed to be as grand and beautiful as Valley, with similar architecture and technology. But this time in wastelands: we get to see the consequences when humans take too much and abuse their environment for personal gain. That is why I think the transition between Valley - Wasteland is PERFECT. We slide into a slope and fly through clouds with buildings along the sides (similar to the races) but then....... glory instantly get replaced with terror as the lighting changed from courageous red to dark green (we know from Disney movies that green is evil). Even the sounds they make through the portal are similar- Valley has those 'bells' that we hear when entering the Colosseum, with cheers from the background. Wasteland has those similar 'bell' sounds, but then it turns unsettling as you hear some shyt like horror game ambiance sounds.

AND NOT TO MENTION, that wastelands is in a much lower area than Valley, and we literally get FLUSHED DOWN to Wastelands. Wasteland is a LITERAL SHADOW OF VALLEY.

Oh and also:

Valley was the first realm to introduce duality and competition, with all the races and stuff. In Wasteland we see this turn into conflict and war. And Valley is not the only area parallel to Wastelands, it also borrowed elements from Forest. We see a structure similar to Forest Temple in the early areas of wasteland, this is a mechanism that produces those Diamonds that power their gates, boats, etc, and it is made from the lights of mantas (poor babies getting pressed into darkstones). So it also features themes of animal abuse and resource overuse.

SUMMARY 📣(boy I got carried away this turned out so long)

! Wasteland is like a huge arse basin (or toilet) that catches all the bad consequences of previous realms. HECK that’s why it's name is the -WASTE- LAND. Basically a whole arse toilet to catch all the shyt.

Also a little side note with Season of Aurora spoilers: I heard that the song that is going to be played in this area has something to do with nature and pollution, and maybe a little bit of war. So I guess TGC is really selling the 'man made destructions' theme of Wasteland.

Own rating and opinion on the Sky: COTL realms (Ratings based on personal preference)

Isle: -/10 (CANNOT BE RATED) Has absolutely nothing besides a lot of wonders for a little moth. It has some good lore stuff but its literally just S A N D

Prairie: 5/10 Has a wide area with a lot of wax, has a good vibe to it, very beautiful landscape. Its a social hub for many players and feels like the widest realm. But the BRIGHTNESS…..IT . BURNS . MY . EYES.

Forest: 6/10 Good atmosphere and relaxing melancholic music, gives you a sense of being lost (which is wonderful to me). The whole place is chill and depressing, and we got forest mama. Collecting wax isn't boring due to many trees, and there are accessible shortcuts. Rain is annoying but fitting, I JUST HATE THE DOORS THAT WONT OPEN. SERIOUSLY FOREST MAMA, WHY CAN'T YOU FIX YOUR DOORS, YOU HONKING MADE THEM.

Valley: 3/10 Yeah, yeah, its epic and glorious and very into fine arts. We got the most beautiful seasons here and it has THE BEST architectures in Sky. Collecting wax is Krill-Dung, the races are supposed to be fun, but I don't find them efficient wax methods. Wasteland: 1/10 Has the most interesting stories, has a spooky and chilling feel to it. Very apocalyptic and lore based, has the most unsettling music (which I love). BUT MY GOOD ELDERS- I TRY TO COME FOR WAX AND I COME BACK WITH BATTLE SCARS FROM KRILLS. THE CRABS ARE HONKING KRILL-DUNG.

Vault: 999/10 Has the most chilling and epic music that brings tears to my eyes. Has a lot of candle cakes for fast candle runs, and is very small. Very very….uhhh- SUPERB! Very good transition form Wasteland-Vault-Eden. Most chilling moments in here, its like a mini summary of your adventures across the realms. Has my favorite color palette and scholarly vibe, and has my favorite area which is Starlight dessert. I LOVE IT…..well except the 5 player doors.
