RED LIPSTICK 💄 - AN ODE TO BEAUTY ICON. During the Second World War , Red lipstick had become mandatory for the women who joined the US Army, therefore it was @elizabetharden who released the first red lipstick under the name "The Victory Red" . Thousand of protesters marched outside the New York Salon of @elizabetharden and she was a supporter of women's rights ,therefore she would handover tubes of bright red lipstick to the protesters. Wearing a red lipstick for a woman in that era was a symbol of feminine, self esteem and resilient. Many hollywood celebrities would add this glamour for a confident look. In the 20th century the lipstick gained the maximum popularity. Throughout the centuries , red lipstick was worn by the elite in ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece which became a " SYMBOL OF GLAMOUR" .
