It’s a dang chilly day out so I thought I’d wear/model my finished #icebreakersweater (my second ever completed #handknitsweater project for those keeping track) but I learned that my arms are too short (surprise) to get a good selfie — but you get the picture!

I wish I’d made it about 4-5” longer than the pattern called for, and I could have gone 2-3 sizes smaller, but post-soaking the yarn’s soft and lofty and I wore it outside to fill the bird feeders without putting a coat over it and was still toasty warm. Yay!

🐑HOW TO BE PREPARED AND SHOP SUCCESSFULLY AT NY SHEEP AND WOOL🐑: 🧶Go through the vendor list and make notes on your phone of who you want to go to (in order of priority) . 🧶If that first vendor is in one of the upper buildings (Building A, B, or C), there is a top entrance on Springbrook Ave (not the main entrance with the barn), that will allow you to enter right at the upper buildings .- not many people know about this one 😉 🧶Have patterns downloaded to your phone, or take a screenshot of your yardage requirements- I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH how quickly internet service goes out once everyone is on the fairgrounds. You will have an extremely difficult time accessing Ravelry once you are on the fairgrounds, so it is best to have that information already downloaded and ready to go . 🧶Specialty items go very fast at this festival. Its definitely a “buy it when you see it” event . 🧶Take tons of photos. This is literally the best festival on the planet! Have fun, and make memories . 🍩 Lastly- don’t you dare leave the fairgrounds without experiencing the amazingness that is the Rhinebeck Apple Cider Doughnut.
