"Excuse me? I’m obviously talented. If you’d like to take a look at my list of experiences. I don’t understand why an audition is a requirement?"
He laughed, "I believe experience and talents are two separate things." Shaking his head whilst shutting his eyes, searching for the right words to explain his actions, "You may turn out to be the most talented of the bunch, but I will never know. Students join music as a bulge or with aspiring hopes with a talent they obviously don't have," pausing in his words, he looks up and stares at the female student. Experience or not, he would have to test her technique, her potential, and most importantly to him: her ambitions and passion, "How am I to know how to teach a student if I don't even know what level they current sit at of the instrument they play? It's more of a fair game, letting myself know if a student is serious about taking my subject."

Smiling rather surprised and satisfied the female seemed to agree with her, she accepts the handshake with a short nod of her head. “Cecilia Facilier. I’m still relatively new so it’s not that much of a surprise.”
"new or not, you and i are going to be fast friends" she retracts her hand back to her lap, smiling at the other female. "so, where are you from? new york? london? asgard? hell?"

"Stop staring at me!"
[ SEND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES FOR MY MUSE’S RESPONSE ]
Yes. It was deemed as rude on her part. However, Kyros could explain.. well, not completely, but still. He wasn’t particularly staring at her, but he had never seen the female before, so seeing her in the Advanced Writing classroom where he had to pick something up from the teacher caught him off guard. Especially since she was the only one in there and she was quite the beauty. The timing was just all too bad, and she had caught his eyes when he just glanced at her. “Pardon? The last time I remembered, a glance was not considered staring…” He murmured under his breath, a confused expression plastering his face with his brows knitted together. Though she was a beauty, her personality was the total opposite of what he expected. She was enticingly interesting.

a thin string : past
it's four p.m. and she's sitting in front of a cafe, waiting. her phone is displayed on the table with her fingers tapping against the clear glass slowly next to it. she hates waiting. a small huff falls from her lips as nimble fingers tap in her password and start to type out a text message.
[ text : ceci ] don't tell me you stood me up for phelix again. you said you were going to show up this time. hurry up, will you?
the message is sending and the look on her face is a mix between irritation and sadness. how things ended up like this, penelope doesn't know. all she knows is that she's waiting for someone who doesn't care much for her anymore, but she doesn't let go. not yet.

"My, my. Aren’t you just an instinct driven fella then." To learn how to control ones urges meant controlling your emotions which often proved to be quite beneficial. While Cecilia herself was a hot tempered person, she had at least learned how to toy with temptations and desires to a point that it left her the upper hand most times. "But that is surely an interesting information to know for the future." Now she knew how she’d be able to bring him to his knees should she ever need to do so. Grin lingering on her lips, she only tilted her head, appearing as innocent as can be.
[ ☆ ]—This girl was an interesting one -- he'd give her that. From the way his eyebrows raised to the manner his golden eyes glinted, it was much too obvious that the way she responded had Jinx Holloway -- the Jinx Holloway, so to speak--intrigued. And trust everyone that knew him -- it's not an easy task to pique the interest of the son of the Cheshire Cat himself. "For the future?" His tone was lilting, his syllables sing-songing out of his mouth as he spoke. "Does this mean you're up for a second 'date'--" He put air quotes on the word, his choice of lexemes made just to tease as their current setting was the furthest anyone could get from cookie-cutter romance. "--Miss? I'm intrigued, really. What do you imagine?"

"I can't believe you forgot."
A MASTERLIST OF PROMPTS AND SENTENCE STARTERS
“I didn’t forget!”, he defends himself, taking everything he had in his bag out and putting on the desk. “I swear it was here!”, Dan sighs, facepalming. It seemed he had forgotten the essay he had written to Cecilia, as he would usually do. “Well, ok, I forgot it…”, he admitted as didn’t find the paper among his stuff. “But I did it, I can give you later!”

{ Fall Out Boy lyric starters }
"You certainly are unapologetic," he observed, before frowning slightly at his ruined shirt. He had no idea why she would be offended when he pointed out that he did not know her because she was not worth knowing — perhaps the truth really did hurt normal peasants, after all. "I do wonder why you take offense in simple fact. I said nothing about not wanting to know you, but you must have jumped to conclusions, as most people often do. However, that previous sentiment may be changed, considering the circumstances…"

▸♧: Your muse playing with their hair
How he got stuck to look after her, he wouldn't ever know. But here he was, stuck inside her the nurses office again, but this time with someone else. He looked at her she was on the bed provided, fast asleep. According to the nurse she had fainted for some unknown reason. He felt bad if he chose to leave her side. He sat by the bed, leaning his head on the edge. Carefully, his fingers ghosted through her hair slightly, he smiled a little, as he saw her lips form a pout as she slept.

“I can be flexible. As long as everything is exactly the way I want it, I’m totally flexible.”
she chuckles at the statement. “great minds think alike” she offers her hand to the other female in a welcome shake, “i’m surprise our paths haven’t crossed earlier. i’m camila and you are?”

The thing about causing trouble for the staff of the school, he thinks, is that it makes most of those guards out for his head. Or his expulsion. Nevertheless he’s able to run and climb and do parkour (at least Jinx has been useful), and they can’t. But they can run to an extent, and despite his head start they seem especially intent on pinning him down today. Thus, the moment he hears them approach, he mindlessly finds a foothold at a window sill before flipping himself at it — feet first — effectively bursting through the window and into an empty room.
Or…at least, he thought it was empty. There was a girl and — he really couldn’t risk anything. Without thinking he placed a hand over her mouth, his free index finger coming over his lips. “Shh,” he whispered, listening for footsteps, to see if anyone noticed him coming to this room, and alerted all the other guards to his presence there. “Don’t. Scream.”

〆 for a childhood story
natasha was very adamant about her children being at least graceful on their feet—she wasn’t concerned with talent but she wanted them to be able to move without sounding like a heard of elephants were running rampant through their living room. so when they turned six, she enrolled them in a local ballet school.
camila loved the idea, nico not so much.
camila loved getting dolled up. the tutus, the tights, all the pink, it was a dream come true for her and she’d dress herself up in her uniform well before the sun rose every saturday morning. she’d have to kick nico awake so that they wouldn’t be late. he’d kick her right back and they’d wrestle on the floor for a minute until their parents broke them up.
nothing surprised natasha more than when their teacher approached her one saturday morning, asking if she considered enrolling her child in a more advance class; they were a natural, a prodigy if she had never seen one. she agreed to enrol camila but the idea was declined. apparently camila was only interested in being pretty rather than dancing. it was nico who could pirouette and fouette like a seasoned professional.
camila dropped out within a few months but nico stayed on, eventually participating in a few performances and shows in time. camila was more than happy to let her brother take the limelight, for once, and always helped him whenever he needed it.

▸“And I’m so sorry, but not really.”
Caleb rolled his eyes towards the her, and mumbled under his breath about how she ruined his precious materials for his current invention. “whatever, be on your way then.” he snapped at her, picking up the materials she had purposely knocked out of his arms.

▸”And if I say yes?”
Caleb hadn’t thought that far into his scheme, what was he suppose to say if she went along with it? It did seem kind of geeky now that he thought of his plan. “Well, what did you want in return?”
