They did anything he asked, they were so easy to manipulate. The regret of losing their child and the willingness to pretend that he was their own son...things were falling into place. They were so easy to manipulate, to fool, to use.

Estoy nervioso al decir esto pero, en fin, creo que nadie lo leerá así que hagamos esta mierda de una vez por todas. 

El día de hoy fue muy significativo para mi para ser honesto, ya que me di cuenta de que estoy deprimido y ni siquiera me había percatado. Déjame te explico, desde hace un tiempo a la actualidad he estado tratando de negar que lo que padezco es depresión a pesar de que ya me había dicho innumerables veces cosas como por la forma en la que actúas estas deprimido, ya saben, típicos estereotipos, pero no les había prestado atención porque pensé que solo eran eso, estereotipos.

Pero no, hoy me percate que toque fondo al estar mirando una serie de televisión ya que había sido una semana agotadora llena de trabajos y proyectos del colegio, estaba viendo para ser precisos Stranger Things 2, y pues quede enamorado del personaje que interpreta Millie Bobby Brown o sea, “Eleven” en la serie, y me al momento de revisar las redes sociales de ella quede empapado de su buena vibra que genera y derrama a simple vista. Y reflexionando pensé que yo antes era asú y ahora soy todo lo contrario ha como era. Ya que me alimento mal, no hago ejercicio, ya casi no salgo a caminar, ni disfruto mi vida, y hoy es un día significativo porque a partir de hoy emperezare a cambiar todos mis hábitos y recuperar ese verdadero yo, que esta dentro de  mi encarcelado por la depresión, por ende, quise empezar a redactar esta pequeña bitácora o diario, como sea, para  darme seguimiento de mi proceso, además de que quiero realizar más cosas nuevas en este blog.

永除秽欲。Forever rid of defiled craving.

着璎珞时，When putting on adornments,

舍诸伪饰，Give up phony decoration

到真实处。And reach the abode of truth.

上升楼阁，When climbing up in balconies,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

升正法楼，Ascend the tower of truth

澈见一切。And see through everything.

009

若有所施，If they give something,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

一切能舍，Be able to relinquish all

心无爱着。With hearts free of clinging.

010

众会聚集，When in gatherings or crowds,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

舍众聚法，Let go of compounded things

成一切智。And attain to total knowledge.

若在厄难，If in danger and difficulty,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

随意自在，Be free at will,

所行无碍。Unhindered wherever they go.

舍居家时，When they give up secular life,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

出家无碍，Have no hindrance to be a renunciate,

心得解脱。And that their minds be liberated.

入僧伽蓝，Entering a sangha community,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

演说种种， Expound various principles

无乖诤法。Of noncontention.

014

诣大小师，Going to tutors and teachers,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

巧事师长，Skilfully serve their teachers

习行善法。And practice virtuous ways.

015

求请出家，Seeking ordination,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

得不退法， Reach the nonregressing state,

心无障碍。 Their minds without impediment

016

脱去俗服，Shedding lay clothing,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

勤修善根，Cultivate roots of virtues

舍诸罪轭。And abandon the yoke of transgressions.

017

剃除须发，When shaving off their hair,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

永离烦恼，Forever divorce all afflictions

究竟寂灭。And reach nirvana.

018

着袈裟衣，Putting on religious garb,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

心无所染，Be undefiled in mind

具大仙道。And fulfil the Way of the Great Sage.

019

正出家时，When they are formally ordained,

当愿众生： They should wish that all beings

同佛出家， Be renunciated with the Buddha

救护一切。And rescue one and all.

020

自归于佛，Taken refuge in the Buddha,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

绍隆佛种，Continue the lineage of Buddhas,

发无上意。Conceiving the unexcelled aspiration.

021

自归于法，Taken refuge in the Teachings,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

深入经藏，Engage profoundly in the scriptures

智能如海。And their wisdom be deep as the sea.

022

自归于僧，Taken refuge in the Community,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

统理大众，Gather and lead the masses,

一切无碍。All are free from obstruction.

023

受学戒时，When receiving and learning precepts,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

善学于戒，Learn ethnical discipline well

不作众恶。And not do any non-virtuous act.

024

受阇梨教，Receiving a master’s instruction,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

具足威仪，Bear themselves with dignity

所行真实。And that their actions be truthful.

025 

受和尚教，Receiving an abbot’s guidance,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

入无生智，Enter the knowledge of birthlessness

到无依处。And reach the realm of nonreliance.

026

受具足戒，Receiving the full set of precepts,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

具诸方便，Fulfill all means of liberation

得最胜法。And master the supreme teaching.　

027

若入堂宇，When entering a hall,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

升无上堂，Ascend to the unexcelled sanctuary

安住不动。And rest there secure, unshakable.

028

若敷床座，When setting out a seat,

当愿众生： They should wish that all beings

开敷善法，Grow and groom virtuous acts

见真实相。And see their true character.

029

正身端坐，Sitting up straight,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

坐菩提座，Sit on the throne of enlightenment,

心无所着。Their minds without attachment.

030

结跏趺坐，Sitting cross-legged,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

善根坚固，Have firm and strong roots of virtues

得不动地。And attain the state of immovability.

031

修行于定，Cultivating concentration,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

以定伏心，Subdue their minds by concentration

究竟无余。Ultimately, with no remainder.

032

若修于观，If practicing insight,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

见如实理，Sec truth as it is

永无乖诤。And be forever free of opposition and contention.

033

舍跏趺坐，When uncrossing the legs,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

观诸行法，Observe that all acts and phenomena

悉归散灭。Return to dispersal and extinction.

034

下足住时，When lowering the feet and resting,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

心得解脱，Attain liberation of mind,

安住不动。Resting at peace, unstirred.

035

若举于足，When raising the legs,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

出生死海，Leave the sea of birth and death

具众善法。And fulfil all good qualities.

036

着下裙时，When putting on lower garments,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

服诸善根，Wear the foundations of goodness

具足惭愧。And have a sense of shame and conscience.

037

整衣束带，When putting on a belt,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

检束善根，Restrain themselves and observe virtues

不令散失。And not let them be lost.

038

若着上衣，When putting on an outer garment,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

获胜善根，Attain sublime virtues

至法彼岸。And reach the Other Shore of the Teachings.

039

着僧伽梨，Putting on monastic robes,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

入第一位，Enter the foremost rank

得不动法。And attain imperturbability.

040

手执杨枝，Taking a toothstick in hand,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

皆得妙法，Attain the wonderful teaching

究竟清净。And be ultimately pure and pristine.

041

嚼杨枝时，When chewing on the toothstick,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

其心调净， Be pacified and pure in mind,

噬诸烦恼。Biting through all afflictions.

042

大小便时，When going to the toilet,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

弃贪瞋痴，Reject greed, anger, and ignorance,

蠲除罪法。And clean away sinful things.

Fire-maker, taking lives but his own His mind was finally blown For the flames grew blazing in vindictive dim The fires he started have caught him

Bomber, robber of happiness His mind splattered into pieces For the devices and powders he manipulated Works evil works, doesn’t know it exploded

Gunman and his loose wits Point, shoots and all target hits Doesn’t know he’s not the only man with a gun Another man blazes him, fire like of the sun

Residential Tower May Be On Tap For Former Mandarin Oriental Space

Eleven years after the Chicago architecture world was dazzled by SBC’s design for a Mandarin Oriental hotel tower just behind Michigan Plaza, there are signs once again that something might be happening there.

Former 215 North Michigan proposal (SBC)

It was 2006 that plans were revealed for a 74-story, 900-foot-tall building that would house 250 hotel rooms, 150 luxury condominiums, and 100 über-luxe palaces in the sky branded as The Mandarin Oriental Residences.

When the economy went all pear-shaped, the $750 million plan ate itself, ended up in foreclosure, in court, and out of commission.

During the intervening years there have been whispers of interest in the property from random bodies of varying seriousness.  It bears the official address of 210 North Stetson Avenue, but also has the vanity address of 215 North Michigan Avenue.  Ooh la la.

Now things appear to be getting serious.  According to city documents, it appears there is a developer interested in the site.  The developer isn’t interested in the hotel portion, though.  It appears to be aiming for an all-residential solution for the space.

Specifically, it has asked the city for an opinion on how many residences it might be allowed to squeeze into the space under current zoning laws if the hotel rooms were replaced by residences. If we’re reading the paperwork right, the answer is 375.

What’s interesting is that this most recent inquiry is not the first along these lines.  Back in February of 2016, the city’s Department of Planning and Development was asked the exact same question, and gave the exact same answer.  It’s not known if that was the same developer or not, though both use the same big name law firm.

What’s new this time is that the developer also wants to know if it would be subjected to the city’s Affordable Housing ordinance.  The answer from the city is no, because the zoning for that parcel pre-dates the city’s Affordable Housing ordinance.

We’ll continue to keep our ears to the ground on this one.

The T.O.W.A.R

Chapter 1

The sky was covered in thin grey clouds, boys lined up at the dull wide buildings waiting to start their day. A short healthy boy around nineteen years of age stood off to the side watching sadly. Dark brown hair hung about near his ears, gentle sea green eyes following the lines movements. His pale skin slightly pinkened by the heat. No plants grew in this area. No plants could grow in the growth areas. The fenced in areas the children were kept.

 The boy’s name was Jeremy, known to his fellow Growth-mates as Jem.  To the displeasure of his superiors. He wore one of the ‘Chosen’ outfits. His sector was that of Caregiving and growing. When the time came he would either raise children, or grow plants and animals with the rest of his unit. He was different from his peers. They had no feeling or sense of ‘wrong’ about being kept like animals.

 But his thoughts were ignored.  They each had a designated ‘Parent’ from their youth that they could speak with. A ‘Parent’ that would watch them grow and bloom.

Jem’s own was a rough man, short slightly spiky grey hair with a clouded and blind right eye and a molten gold left. He was tall and well built. He’d belonged to the ‘Warrior’ unit, until his re-chosen. He was then selected for the ‘Grower’ Unit. He walked with a slight limp to his gait but remained straight and tall, never slouching. His training years catching up with him, a posture that would last till death

 Jem wasn’t watching the entire line move, only one single boy. Ethan, a tall, slightly muscled boy with shoulder length black hair and dark brown eyes and pale skin. Ethan was part of the ‘Spider’ unit. The ‘

 ‘Spider’ unit was for those who were to be researchers and explorers. Some even became partners to other people. One of the two units allowed to have a true family.

Ethan was one of hundreds that applied to the unit. Out of hundreds (Eight hundred and forty six Boys) only twelve were chosen for the ‘Spider’ unit. Beside Ethan was his group of friends, the eleven other boys who made it into the ‘Spider’ unit.

 They had all bonded quickly, Jamie a tall blonde with grey eyes and an angular face seemed to be closest to Ethan. Then were the twins, Kane and Aven, they both had green hair and pale green eyes. Issak and Wester were the two popular boys, most admired by superiors and peers alike with Issak having a long pony of dark brown and grey hair with broody brows above icy blue eyes, and Wester a shorter boy with a round face bordered by blue hair and black eyes. Following shortly behind them walked Ben, Michael, Ureil, Peter, Lauren, Samuel, and Alex. Jem was mildly fascinated by Alex, the smart and average red headed boy with eagle-like eyes and a sharp nose. They dissevered the unit they’d gotten into.  Jem startled as someone leapt onto his back.

“JEMMY!!!!” A younger boy sang jumping up onto Jeremy’s back. Jem smiled.

 “Nathan, I thought I told you to wait for me at the unit office.” Jem stated glancing back at the boy.

Emerald green eyes stared into his own amused. A lock of light brown hair fell into the boys face and stuck to his nose.

 “And miss your Towar number!? No way! Who do you think your Towar-mate will be? How long do you think you’ll be stuck in there? Do you think you’ll meet a girl? Or do they no longer exist?” The boy asked bouncing slightly.

 “I don’t think I want a Towar-mate, and I hope I’m not stuck in the Towar for long, there are some who have been there their entire lives, and to me it sounds like a terrible life.” Jem stated, walking forward and entering the line with a large green leaf on it.

“Plus, I’d miss you, and would never have any kids to rise.” Jem stated lifting Nathan up onto his back further. Nathan giggled and tightened his hold on Jem’s neck. As Jem neared the entrance to the hall He noticed the others of his class being separated from the line. He set Nathan on the ground as they approached the separation men. One stepped forward and grabbed Jems upper arm and pulled him to the side.

 “Nathan, I want you to remember your schedule, and follow it. Hopefully I’ll see you soon.” Jem stated as Nathan’s hand was pulled from his and he was ushered toward the booths.

 “Jeremy 001!” A voice called and Jem moved towards it.

 “Here” He stated quietly with a slightly raised hand. The man glared down at him and held out an envelope.

 “Your Envelope contains an Information sheet, a ticket, a Unit form and your temporary I.D. your Towar placement and your Order number. It also has your Towar-mates Number and Last digits. The information sheet will tell you what to expect in the Towar as well as the rules about the Towar. The Unit form is to be filled out to tell what units will be missing how many people and each unit will be updated on your status during your time in the Towar. Your I.D has a barcode that will open the door to your Towar. Please go through the Green door for a physical and mental exam before you enter the Towar. You will have a day to read over the information sheet and to fill out the Unit form and turn in said form before entering the Towar. Please continue.” The man recited and ushered Jem away before calling out the next name on his list.

Jem took a deep breath as he reached the door. He laid a hand on the painted wood before gripping the handle and entering the room. The walls were a pale cream color and a tall thin man stood before a small metal table to the right of a large padded chair.

 “Hello, you must be Jeremy, I’m Medical staff number 66593, and you may call me Six. I will be in charge of your Medical exams. Let us begin. Please remove your clothing and set them on the tray by the door.” The doctor stated. Jem tensed and set the letter down underneath his pile of cloths before moving to stand in the middle of the room.

 His hands hung before him, a small attempt to hide his genitals, his right leg was bent and turned slightly to help the endeavor. The Doctor moved to stand before Jem and placed a small cold piece of metal over his heart. The Doctor then glanced at the device in his hand before writing it down and pinching about his abdomen waist arms and thighs. He was turned to the side and the doctor began pinching his shoulder his spine his lower back the middle of one of his cheeks, his calf and then his ankle.

 “Low fat and medium muscle mass, appearance of a healthy male.” The doctor stated before turning around and grabbing a needle from the table. Jem tensed as the Doctor took his arm and inserted the needle.

 “This is a small micro chip that will monitor your heart-rate, blood pressure, hormone levels, and emotional state and will send us periodic updates on your health; there will be a Tablet in your Towar with the response from this chip so you can keep track of your own health, mentally and physically.  You seem healthy, both mentally and physically. You’re cleared to proceed to the Towar in a few days time. Good luck.” The doctor stated calmly holding out another ticket and motioning for Jem to redress and leave.

 He left the room quickly, not wishing to stay any longer than needed. He opened the envelope and slid the ticket from the doctor in with the papers before removing the larger sheets of paper and glancing them over. He reentered the line and moved into the hall. He could see crowds of his year reading through their information sheets together, Large and tense groups of boys.

 Jem glanced around and spotted Nathan sitting at a table full of other Children that had been assigned to one of the ‘Nursing’ Unit members. Jem smiled and walked up to the table.

 “Having fun here?” Jem asked amused. Nathan looked up in surprise before sprinting around the table and attaching to Jems legs in a hug that only young children can manage.

 “Jemmy, how did it go!? What order are you!?”Nathan asked bouncing slightly. Jem smiled and sat in the empty spot at the table.

 “It went fine and I didn’t check what my order number is, I need to read the information sheet first, and before you ask no you can’t read the information sheet. It’s one of the most know rules Nate, no one outside the main year can read the Towar rules.” Jem stated gently. Nathan pouted and climbed up beside Jem.

 “I have to go to class, but please, be okay?” Nathan stated with a small wobbly smile. Jem set his hand on Nathan’s head.

 “I will, now go on, do your best.” Jem stated and watched Nathan jump away from the table and rush from the hall, followed by a few of his year-mates. Jem stood and retrieved a tray from one of the large Lunch machines before making his way back to his room.

 Once inside the small and cramped space he sat down on a bed. He pulled out the information sheet and read.

  Rules and Information for your experience in the T.O.W.A.R

Quick Rule List:

1: do NOT speak of any information held within this sheet, or of any experience you receive from the TOWAR.

2: any problems within the TOWAR cannot be handled by outsiders of specified tower(On your ticket)

3: any relationships resulting from the TOWAR will be seen as a LEGAL marriage and CANNOT be undone

4: any injury sustained during the TOWAR MUST be handled by the tower-mates until TOWAR has ended.

5: failure to abide by these rules will result in IMMEDIATE death.

  Jem stopped reading to absorb this, if he got hurt during the Towar he would be unable to see a medical professional, The Towar could kill him and his tower-mate would have to live with the body for an unknown time.

  The thought was disturbing, Unnatural.

Each unit has a specific set of rules and Rewards, Each group has a specific purpose, Troopers are to protect, Medic’s are to offer healing practice to those who need it, Growers help raise children, animals and plants, breeders help produce more animals and plants that can be useful to the populace, and Scientists discover newer and easier ways to create and grow animals and plants.

 To prevent fighting and war Sectors were created to raise young to be unbiased and adaptable to new environments and beings. The Towar has been created to help our young find the path they were born to be on, The shorted the Towar the easier ones path is, If one's Towar is Long then the young must have been made for their Towar-mate and is to be left alone, If one's Towar never ends then the young was to be part of a family.

 Breeding can be possible during the Towar if both Towar-mates are amendable but once complete the Towar-mates will be legally known as married and will be treated as such.

  Jem blinked down at the page and felt his cheeks heat. Breeding wasn’t something he’d thought something possible during the Towar, but it seemed to be. He turned the page over and read.

  In the Towar there will be MAJOR technological differences from normal life, there will be Television, Games, Movies, Books, Running water, and other Leisure activities.

Towar-mates will be expected to share one Bedroom and one Bed, as well as one Bathroom, one Television, and one Couch/Love-seat. Towar-mates will be provided with one Kitchen (With working Oven, Sink, and Refrigerator), Living room, Bedroom (One Closet included), Bathroom, Balcony, and Cozy Corner.

 Blankets, Pillows, and other Bedding/Bathroom Supplies found in one of two closets. Towar-mates Clothing will be brought into the Towar before Towar is in use for Towar-mates Comfort.

Refrigerator and cupboards will be continually supplied and stocked through ought Towar experience.

The Temporary I.D MUST be attached to your person IMMEDIATELY and not taken off until Towar is reached.

Jem sighed and pulled out the form.

 Filling it out was easy. Basic questions on his position, those in his care, and his Temporary TOWAR I.D number. It was so simple he finished it within minutes and had it delivered within a few hours. He returned just in time for dinner but felt too tired and worn to eat and fell into bed, asleep.

着璎珞时，When putting on adornments,

舍诸伪饰，Give up phony decoration

到真实处。And reach the abode of truth.

上升楼阁，When climbing up in balconies,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

升正法楼，Ascend the tower of truth

澈见一切。And see through everything.

若有所施，If they give something,

一切能舍，Be able to relinquish all

心无爱着。With hearts free of clinging.

舍众聚法，Let go of compounded things

成一切智。And attain to total knowledge.

得不退法， Reach the nonregressing state,

心无障碍。 Their minds without impediment

勤修善根，Cultivate roots of virtues

舍诸罪轭。And abandon the yoke of transgressions.

剃除须发，When shaving off their hair,

究竟寂灭。And reach nirvana.

着袈裟衣，Putting on religious garb,

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

心无所染，Be undefiled in mind

具大仙道。And fulfil the Way of the Great Sage.

救护一切。And rescue one and all.
