merlin: with love and adoration?

mithian: like a dear friend. you know, he looked at me like that when we were betrothed

elena: he looked at me like that when we were courting too!

merlin: yeah….because he liked the both of you?

mithian hums her agreement: yes. do you know why we broke it off?
