Will this technically work? Yes. Could it go for years without causing issues? Of course. But I -definitely- wouldn't call this a careful install. Junction boxes are code (at least they are where I live) for a reason (helps protect from animals chewing the wires, helps prevent fires from catching in the case of a short). ideally the tape should go up to and around the caps, and they should be taped separately (and then maybe you can tape them together to hold em in place if you want)... And most concerning to me, they cut the ground???? Which is the most infuriating to me because you don't even need tape and caps for ground wire you can just hand twist them together and that's fine. But they cut it!! TT^TT
And all this in the wall behind a kitchen appliance where critters and moisture like to hang out. IMO it's a fire hazard.
Who wants to see how the previous owners of my house plugged in the microwave
#I learned about residential electrical while I was getting my automation/manufacturing certificate#I'm not an electrician-electrician but I have a decent grasp on the basics of it#I did have to work with electrical a lot at my old job as well#Stuff that might be fine with lower power levels or inside of a small machine (like just throwing some caps on there and calling it a day)#isn't necessarily the same with larger appliances or inside a wall where it has to sit exposed to god-knows-what undisturbed for years#I personally don't like to use caps without taping that shit up but IDK if it's completely necessary?#It makes me feel better tho

Understanding Emergency Lighting Certificates and Fixed Wire Testing Frequency
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------When it comes to safety in commercial and residential buildings, emergency lighting and electrical systems play a crucial role. Knowledge of the conditions needed to acquire the emergency lighting certificates and the periodicity of the fixed wire testing is crucial.
Emergency Lighting Certificates: What You Need to Know
An emergency lighting certificate is crucial as it confirms that a building has installed and maintained its emergency lighting system to the required safety standards. This certificate proves that the lighting will be on during a power outage, allowing people to navigate to the exits.
Importance of Emergency Lighting Certificates:
Compliance with Regulations: All the regions demand emergency lighting systems to meet the set safety standards. This is important in making sure that your property complies with these legal requirements whenever you have a valid certificate.
Safety Assurance: Thus, a certified emergency lighting system is crucial to guarantee the safety of the occupants in the event of an emergency. The certificate proves that the system is functional and has been through the necessary testing.
Peace of Mind: An added advantage of certified emergency lighting is that the owners and occupants of the building are assured that the facilities are safe especially in business premises or buildings with several floors.
Fixed Wire Testing Frequency
Periodic inspection and testing commonly referred to as fixed wire testing frequency plays an important role in ensuring safety and efficiency of electrical installations. It can be carried out at regular intervals or based on the type of building and its usage.
Recommended Testing Intervals:
Commercial Buildings: As for the commercial properties, it is advisable to have fixed wire testing done at least once every five years. This interval assists in the assessment of any risks that may be present and maintains safety at all times.
Industrial Installations: Industries that involve more electrical usage, say in factories or warehouses, may warrant testing every three years.
Residential Properties: In regard to rental properties, tests are generally mandatory at least once in every five years, whereas the owner occupied homes could be inspected at least once in every ten years.
Emergency Lighting Test Certificate: Key Considerations
The emergency lighting test certificate is a crucial safety documentation required for any building. This certificate is usually provided after checking the standard of the emergency light and its functionality which is usually done by a certified electrician.
Key Aspects of the Certificate:
Detailed Testing: The certificate highlights the tests done on the system, its performance and any suggestion for service or repair.
Validity Period: They normally display the date of the test and further necessary actions that show property owners about their safety obligations.
Documentation for Inspections: It is important to have a current emergency lighting test certificate in an event that you will be inspected by safety regulators and insurance companies.
Conclusion
It is worth to underline that emergency lighting certificates and fixed wire testing are the obligatory components of safety in any building. Testing and certification go beyond just meeting standards and requirements ensuring safety and confidence to occupants and owners. Being updated on these conditions helps maintain safety in the surroundings.

How To Ensure 40 Year Certification in Broward County and Deerfield Beach, FL?
One cannot do without electricity. This particular energy powers the entire home and even its surroundings if required. Any signs of damage to the wiring, outlets, and even switches can be extremely dangerous for the residents. While it is advisable to reduce such risks, only some things remain in control 24X7. Sadly, many individuals try to resolve electricity-related problems singlehandedly, only to meet with grief. It is thus extremely important to utilize the services of a licensed residential electrician in Sunrise and Fort Lauderdale, FL, to ensure perfect repairs and installation or replacement of components as and when required.
Sure, there are DIY videos galore on YouTube. But following those tips & tricks will only prove to be more dangerous. A layperson simply has to place a call to a competent electrician who has been engaged in the trade for several years. While it is okay to replace a bulb or string decorative lights on a particular day, trying to handle the following is a strict no-no without the help of an electrician...
· Tripping of Circuits - When the circuit trips too often, it becomes a cause for concern. The right way to rectify it would be to use an electrician to identify the reason for frequent tripping. Trying to draw more power than available is often the inherent cause of the circuit tripping frequently. A seasoned electrician could create additional capacity without jeopardizing safety, thus ending such problems once and for all.
· Flickering Lights - It is essential to connect with a licensed electrician when the indoor lights keep flickering. A loose connection may be the root cause here. The resident may also find the lights dimming every time a household appliance is used. This indicates the uneven distribution of power or extra load on the circuit. An experienced and licensed electrician would be able to check the issues and solve them with enthusiasm.
· Hot to Touch - One does not expect the switches or power outlets to feel hot when touched. Most individuals will ignore this rise in temperature and continue using electricity without trying to discover the reason for this. It might worsen things by subjecting the user to electric shocks when touching the switches. Contacting an electrician urgently is the only way to remedy it.
· Electrical Surges - Experiencing frequent electricity surges for no apparent reason tends to make one suspicious. It is vital to have a licensed electrician inspect the wiring as well as the appliances that are plugged in. The professional will be able to identify the source of the problem and repair the circuit or reduce the load as necessary. This is a task meant for skilled electricians. One should not consider DIY tricks.
Both residential and commercial building owners must comply with the 40-year certification in Broward County and Deerfield Beach, FL. Contacting a Level II Certified Infrared Thermographer is vital to conducting an infrared inspection of the frequently used electrical equipment. Ensuring recertification as per the legal requirement must be done without delay.
