■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Perfect because I was literally thinking about making a post about the Shu/Kuro/Izumi/Mao dorm today. AKA the arts and crafts dorm (and Mao, I guess). But they have such an unintentionally messy living space.

They have a scrap fabric basket by the couch that is constantly growing, spare threads and yarn are everywhere on the floor, they have at least three needle magnets and Shu and Kuro both have their own sewing notions box under the coffee table but they have wildly different aesthetics with it so you can tell exactly whose is whose.

Izumi keeps his knitting stuff in his space most of the time but it sometimes ends up on the couch and someone has accidentally sat on one of his projects more than once. Double sided knitting needles are not something you want to sit on.

Mao ended up learning to crochet (he discovered very quickly that either he could not knit or Izumi was a horrible teacher) and a lot of his beginner projects are scattered around the living room and his personal space. His scraps also end up on the floor until someone decides they need a dedicated garbage by the couch for everyone's little craft projects

Ah, so yeah I do have an OC (a couple actually (and by that i mean a lot and they're mostly interconnected) but i'm focusing on one!) Allow me to introduce you to Amara (...uh, no last name…) She’s nonbinary and goes by him/her pronouns but isn’t bothered by being addressed with any other. As of now, she’s 20! I haven’t really thought about sexuality, mostly because it’d never came up in the story I’d thought for her.  

She’s tangentially related to Dino, not by blood though. Her parents/family’s worked for Dino since far back and she’s goes on to do the same as one of his many bodyguards. I’ve got a picture of her but from her school days– (its the one below ^.^) Funnily enough, I don’t have an image of her in her current age, just when she was back in school~ Though I made a quick picrew for what she’d look like now (link to the creator: https://picrew.me/image_maker/1744829)

Amara (pronounced A-ma-ra) doesn’t really have a relationship with most canon characters as her story largely uses them as background to build her own story from. I made her when I was super obsessed with characters in the same world without much interaction with the characters. HOwever! Romero got around this and became a mentor-figure to Amara. Their relationship is largely mentor and rebellious student with Amara being a rather stubborn bull to move and Romero’s forever unending patience with her. It’s a rather unique figure as Amara’s set up to be Romero’s protege, the one to replace him when he’s gone/serve as the closest to Dino’s successor. 

Amara’s family relationship is pretty good! She knows who her parents are and she’s on great terms with ‘em! However, she was an ambitious kid. That’s how she got to where she is today working to replace Romero. She’s ready to toss away just about anyone close to her if it means climbing up, contrasted to her parents' contentment to where they are puts a distance in their relationship. A little fun fact is I commonly headcanon, Hana as one of her cousins xD 

I’ve never thought of any disabilities for him but if I’d had to guess, he’d probably have undiagnosed ADHD (-based off myself actually) As for anything else, not here. Though her closest friend (akin to a parabatai if you’ve ever read Shadowhunters) is Seora who does have selective mutism. 

Amara is… a cloud flame! She has a little sun but not enough to reliably materialize! Though she has flames, she doesn’t rely on them to fight very often. She prefers hand-to-hand combat but has picked up a love for shotguns and guns in general. For his position, he has to fight more often than not but his non-use of flames is because she’d been temporarily sealed (by her parents by a couple of reasons) when she’d first awakened her flames and never really got to touch them until much later in her late teens (17/18) but by them she’d already gotten used to fighting without them. 

How well would tsuna want to protect them? Uh, depends on when he meets them, tbh. Amara in ‘professional’ mode is so cold and closed off and really icy. It’s safe to say that she’s the last person you’d want to protect but outside of work, she’s pretty friendly. A little gated but definitely rather lazy. You only really glimpse her passionate side when things grab her attention or when she’s around friends. Neither of those sides of her would make Tsuna want to protect her but I think the more intimate her would be more likely to get on Tsuna’s good graces xD 

I think Reborn would hold a begrudging respect for her. She knows what she wants and how to get it without stuttering over words or hesitation. She’s ambitious, she’s talented, she’s skill and she knows when and where to show it off and when to step back till later. However if reborn popped out of a wall, her gun would be aimed faster than she could blink –if she were on guard duty. If not, she’d barely move a muscle. 

Hibari and Amara would stand each other. She’s seen glimpses of him from afar when Dino was his mentor when she was younger (she would’ve been 6ish the first time she saw Hibari) and she’s perfectly fine with him so far as he doesn’t do anything she perceives as genuinely threatening towards Dino or herself. They’d both have a mutual disinterest of the other. When it comes to fighting power, call it delusional but I seriously believe Amara could hold her own against Hibari. I don’t think they’d be good sparring buddies with a 50-50 chance of each winning. 

Gokudera would have to find a different cryptid partner, Amara wouldn’t be interested. He’d be bored so quickly and just give automatic responses like ‘mhm’, ‘oh really?’, ‘that’s cool’. 

Skull might. Amara is certainly icy enough to discourage him, but if he did I could see Amara giving him a chance. He’d find him funny and entertaining so I don’t think it’d be a pity date, just a ‘give a whirl’ date. (Tho… I could deffy see a second date~) 

Amara wouldn’t cheer out loud but he’d congratulate Yamamoto afterwards. He might even take Takeshi out for a congratulatory meal~ If the ball hit them, Amara was asleep in the first place, he’d totally blame himself and pray Yamamoto hadn’t noticed… 

Children watching… if Romero or Dino asked her to. She would. The quality of it would be top-knotch but he’d be so strict even I-pin wouldn’t like it D: If they’d all had sugar beforehand, Amara would break down. He’s not great with children, and hyper children? Both parties were about to have a trash time. 

She’d eat anything from Nana’s plate! Anything and everything, Amara doesn’t know how Nana does it but everything tastes so great…. He’s got a soft spot for sponge cakes of any flavor but orange.

It wasn’t much, but boy, did it still sting.

Tsuna let out a heavy sigh, slumping further into his couch. He knew he couldn’t do much, but the rejection was a little hard to swallow. Seriously... His mother could’ve tried a little harder to let him down gently.

“You know, mum, I could help you make breakfast or something...?”

“Hm? You don’t really know how to cook, Tsuna-kun.”

“But it’s Mother’s Day, so I can try?”

“Don’t worry. Sit down and let me deal with the food, okay? Your gift is already enough!”

Is what she’d said, but... How was he meant to learn if no one tried to teach him?

He barely looked up when someone opened the door and let in whoever had knocked, his frown deepening.

“Tsuna! Afternoon!”

He jumped a little and looked up quickly, blinking. “Oh, Yamamoto...! Hello! What are you doing here?”

Takeshi offered him a smile. “Nothing much to do today, so I thought I’d come and see how you’re going.” He could see how deflated he looked, and he frowned a little. “Though, you don’t look too good. You alright?”

He wandered up to the brunet and dropped down onto the couch beside him, watching him lean forward and against his legs with a dissatisfied grunt.

“Tried offering mum help in the kitchen, but she brushed me off... Hah, I wanna help her, but I can’t and I’m useless at all this stuff...! Not sure why I try, really...”

Takeshi shifted a little to lean forward, though his heart ached at this. Tsuna really thought so little of himself still, and it was hard to hear.

“I can’t really cook. Even though I work with dad, he doesn’t let me in the kitchen to cook, either,” he chimed softly.

Tsuna looked a little wary at this, but Takeshi pet his knee reassuringly. “I’m sure you could learn, though.”

“I don’t think so...”

It was quiet for a few moments. Takeshi was willing to give Tsuna all the silence he needed before he spoke again.

“Yamamoto... What do you do on Mother’s Day?” Tsuna asked slowly.

“Hm? Ah, well, I wake up, I look at a picture of my mother, I say ‘happy Mother’s Day’ and pray, then I go on with my day!”

It took Tsuna a moment to take in what he’d said before his heart dropped into his gut. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have-“

“Why’re you apologising?” Takeshi tilted his head to catch Tsuna’s gaze. “I don’t mind telling you. Mum wouldn’t want me to be sad, and I’m sure she’d be super happy I’m here to try and help you!”

He smiled widely, and Tsuna wondered what his mother might have been like. Maybe he’d ask some other day.

“So, how’s about this? We try and learn something together, right now! Then, you can make it for your mum when she gets back!”

“Right now? But-“

“Sure, right now! We can ask Kyoko and Haru for help, or the kid, right? I’m sure we can figure it out!”

Takeshi hopped to his feet and grinned, setting his hands on his hips. “We’re smart enough! I think we’ll be fine!”

Tsuna blinked slowly before smiling tiredly, accepting Takeshi’s hand and standing up with a huff. It probably wouldn’t be perfect, but trying was better than nothing.

The latter tugged him against his side and pet his shoulder, laughing lightly. “It’ll turn out fine, don’t worry!”

He was always so helpful. So kind, and so gentle. He understood what he needed to do and say. He always was helping him out.

Tsuna reached up and pet Takeshi’s hand lightly. “Thank you, Yamamoto.”

“Anything for you, Tsuna.”
