Jinx and Ekko would bring out the worst and the best out of each other on that firelight base, those poor people would be seeing more of Ekko in the span of 2 days with Jinx than they've seen in the past 7 years, she's driving that man up the wall, to his wits end, to cloud 9 and to hell and she doesn't even try😭

Lowkey immature behaviour never seen before, pettiness, constant snarky comments between him and her, overly softie behaviour from Ekko worried about Jinx's mental state, puppy eyes at her when she's not looking cause he's got a staring problem, smiling throughout the day like the weight of war isn't on his shoulders(what are you smiling about bro), making jabs at her (like she isn't a terrorist who bombed Piltover), laughing with her and at her(bro that is Jinx), looking at her like a kicked puppy(BRO that is JINX), visibly sulking when he got into a spat with her when she got there initially. She's in his room, in his space, when he's not on duty he's with her or atleast mentally cause he's lost in thought and they know damn well it isn't about war plans he's sighing about

I can just imagine the collective bewilderment, everyone just agreeing to stay quiet and speak amongst themselves cause they don't know how to approach this, or if they should do so at all. Scar would have everyone on his ass asking questions cause they don't want to aproach Ekko directly or if/when they do, he doesn't give much information besides the strictly necessary to reassure them of their safety, "So u and Jinx?" Literally, the scene on the bridge was not made just for people to go "Oh well ig he cares about her" no bro THEY CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER. Jinx didn't smile like THAT at Vi when she wanted Vi to kill her.

Jinx didn't try to attach that bomb to Ekko at any point in the fight even when he was on top of her and DISTRACTED, she literally just wanted to kill herself when just seconds ago she was fighting for her life. When Ekko stopped he reacted like he would as her best friend instead of her enemy, saddened by her fear and she responded as his best friend instead of his enemy, smiling.

That was the first time she actually actively attempted to end her life and it was because she fought Ekko face to face and he looked at her like he was upset/sad at seeing her panicking and hurt, like he felt sorry for fighting her even after all she's done, like he still cared about her.

Don't you guys think had she not pulled that grenade out he would've spoken? Had they both froze and just stared at each other they would've had to acknowledge the elefant in the room, the pandora's box would've been opened from that moment on, they wouldn't be able to keep fighting as Silco's weapon and the firelight leader, but as Jinx(Powpow) and Ekko, and apparently they can't do that, because the whole reason they were able to fight each other was because "the other didn't care about them" but now it turns out Jinx cares about Ekko and Ekko cares about Jinx, so what now? Does he try to take her hostage? Does he knock her out? Does she run away from him and try to avoid confronting him forevermore? Does Ekko try to talk to her? when he realizes she still remembers their history, that it still means something to her?

And she would've died on that bridge if it wasn't for the super drug she got inyected with.

And Ekko didn't want her to die, he got out of that fight and went straight into the problem with his tree and going around with Heimerdinger but when he was in a different fucking dimension trying to figure out a way back, he had fucking ptsd of seeing her 'dead' on the bridge, he probably will remember that moment on for atleast a decade every time he passes that bridge.

He was fucking horrified she tried to kill herself EVEN THOUGH he was in a fight to the death with her moments before that, he was furious at her for attacking Vi, for trying to give the power of the gemstone to Silco, for killing a firelight. He wanted to kill her like she wanted to kill him, you'd think that means he wants her to die right? Well apparently not cause instead of unpacking whatever tf happened on the bridge he went on problem solving immediately and then what happened on the bridge came back to slap him in the face hard when he dared to pretend it didn't happen. Even if he wanted to just forget it entirely he couldn't, his fucking psyche worked against him. Just like he could never forget what she meant to him 7 years ago.

SO FIRST OF ALL I'm gonna be comparing timebomb to another already Canon, straight ship. Guess.

If you guessed these two you guessed right!!!!!!! :3

People do NOT like this couple for multiple reasons.

1. Jayce is very VERRYY unliked in the series. (I'll get into this in another post.)

2. These two, even though having a literal humpy humpy scene, BARELY had any chemistry.

3. HUGEEE POWER GAP BETWEEN THE TWO. it didn't feel like they were equals to eachother, with Mel always dictating Jayce's each and every move.

4. Elaboration on 2, if we take a look at statistics, (MY fyp rn on tiktok, and probably your's too.) Vi and Caitlyn were fan favourites, why? Multiple reasons, That I am NOT getting into, (new post idea!!) But one of the main reasons was the chemistry between the two, and the tension. (something Jayce and Mel didn't have) People focused more on Vi and Cait because the base of their relationship wasn't based on fucking politics and "the future of piltover" (ahem)

What do these two have that Mel and Jayce don't?

1. Both Characters are likeable ❤️ (I'm biased here since my favourite character in the series is Ekko) -> upcoming post!!!

2. The base of their relationship, being the past, is actually interesting, and it ties to both of them beautifully. We know Ekko Ingame as the boy who can rewind time, And we know jinx now as a girl who's so trapped in her past. Does that not make u want to rip ur heart out to give to the writers of arcane or is if just me.

3. Unlike Mel and Jayce, The trope between Ekko and Jinx is ALSO interesting. You cant call mel and jayce enemies to lovers because Mel NEVER saw jayce as an enemy. (Jayce is debatable.) The trope between Jinx and Ekko is always changing, keeping us on our toes.

4. Elaboration on 1, Both Characters are likeable because BOTH characters are interesting. I'll give it to Jayce, his character is interesting but compared to rest, it's lowkey just.. eh. 😭😭. Mel's character is beautifully written, just like Ekko AND Jinx.

so alot of people are being overly rude, I just wanna come in and say calmly and respectfully, as the show has shown us so far, Vi and Cait like women. idgaf about Jinx bc EkkoxJinx is cute and she could be bi or straight either way. You can write what you will, its your space and no one should be coming in here to tell you to kill yourself (thats downright insane, shame on that anon fr fr), but it won't free you from the opinions of others, especially a collective opinion that I myself go with (Vi and Cait being lesbians). The only other thing I have to say is its kinda weird to write x reader fics for the teen characters bc they are minors but that's another "you do you" thing. Also I'd suggest turning off anon to avoid any further random hate messages, at least for the time being.

Alright, so I kinda wanna clear that part with the Minor stuff. Both Teen Vi and Cait are SFW only. I write for it because I myself am a teen. I won't say my age but I ain't a full-blown 20-something-year-old. Maybe I'll get rid of Teen Vi and Cait when I get older but I write for them since they are in my age range.

As for Cait and Vi, I know they are lesbians and I respect it. I simply wrote for them because I know these characters have admirers who aren't lesbians or women. I write for people to enjoy I get people don't like it I personally don't find the need for people to go out of their way to insult the people writing it, if you don't like it no one is forcing you to read it. I have tough skin so I'm fine reading it. But as for the kys comment, I meant what I said where if you say that to the wrong person you'll have to live with that. I myself have dealt with suicide issues so I know how dangerous it is to tell someone that. But, thank you for being respectful, I'm not trying to be a dick or an asshole but I don't see the need of being assholes to the person writing. Thank you again for being respectful. I wonder if Arcane S2 will address the fact that what makes Ekko different from other Zaun Geniuses like Jinx and Viktor is that he is a natural born genius according to his Bio. Unlike Jinx and Viktor who while

possessed some level of natural intelligence I'm sure still had to learn and experience overall to get their genius but I think it is either heavily implied or outright stated that Ekko has Genius level intellect at a very young age, he's so intelligent to the point that Jayce routinely sends him letters asking him to be his apprentice. I think it would be really interesting if they tackle this aspect of Ekko's character because not only would it be interesting to see how smart he actually is but I think it could also lead to some mad genius ekkoxjinx Timebomb moments.
