Nothing Day

Today I did mostly nothing during the evening, I don't know why really. Yesterday's night was kinda harsh on me, and it felt like all the exhaustion of this year finally hit. I have been working non-stop for this entire year, and just now I feel like I'm starting to get some recognition. There are people in this platform who motivate me and friends who never let me down, but, it is hard to explain, I just feel sometimes like not matter what, it's never enough.

Something that I wanted to do in the Fridays is experiment, program different things, create small prototypes of ideas. And as you can see, it didn't start on a great first step.

Am I ok? Yes, and like always, I won't give up. Personally, I don't like to be negative on these blogs, but I would be lying if I said everything is normal. It is strange, things are going great, but it's like an "exhaustion of being positive" y'know?

Sending Docs, Doing More Work

Well, after yesterday's great surprise, today is being a more normal day. I already sent the documents that I need for the hiring, and in some weeks the actual work will start. Nonetheless, I won't stop doing the Capytal's projects, this is my dream, and having a job is mostly for financial reasons.

It will be funny to technically be a company founder and employee at the same time, but I kinda like that.

Prototyping and Prototyping

Another day prototyping the next project, it is being an interesting experience to use JavaScript again and kinda don't care a lot about errors and making things pretty, just focusing on making shit done.

Somehow Not Anxious

I'm not on home right now (birthday of a relative of mine), and am kinda regretting it to be honest. There's no one to really talk. So again another unformatted blog post, unfortunately.

And I'm tired, worked on project dismayed a little more, and hopefully tomorrow I can do another dev log.

Tomorrow is my first day in my first job, and somehow I'm not really anxious. Nonetheless, I already know that my actual work and what makes me happy is my own projects, so, even tho it's my first, I don't want to put so much worry on it.

Welcome to Brazil

My country, Brazil, is a beautiful place, has probably one of the bests foods in the world, and even tho we have a lot of social problems, the culture and people here are always welcome.

But I still want to immigrate to outside this country as soon as I can.

Today, I had a lot of my happiness and excitement about this new job, which was promised to have a salary of R$ 4,5k... because I will actually earn R$ 2k, the rest will go to taxes and the pockets of corrupt politicians. This is still somewhat a good salary, and it is better than the minimum salary, but it is so heart crushing this reality, even knowing there are people in worst conditions than mind, is just fucking demotivating to think that no matter what you how hard you want to work and try, you can improve your condition and income here. If I even want to get an earning of R$ 4,5k, I would need to land in a job which has a salary of around R$ 10k, because here, 30%-40% of your income is fucking robbed.

I knew that taxes here where a nightmare, but even then it was painful to realize this. It may just be a "welcome to reality kid", but fucking god, 30%-40%, are you kidding me? It is even more frustrating when this isn't money that will go to actually improve something, and the inflation on here also fucks up you even harder, R$ 2k is supposed to be the bare minimum to survive nowadays.

Nonetheless, I won't give up, R$ 2k is still better than R$ 0, and hopefully with this experience and networking I can find better opportunities. I don't want to get political in these posts, I just lost this entire day because of how crushing it was to have this realization and wanted to rant a little. As soon as I can, I will try to get out of this country, and hopefully bring my friends and family together with me.

Father's Day

Daily Blogs 280 - Aug 11th, 12.024

Today was Father's Day here in Brazil, so most of the day I spent with my dad. We wanted to get something delivered to home, so my mother doesn't need to cook something before going to work (because of the holiday, she was called to work so they would have enough people), but we ended up just going on a small trip and eating on a restaurant/snack bar. And it was kinda awesome, finally had some time to talk and chat with him about life and work, and I'm really happy to finally have this type of time with him.

Also, I paid the bill! Which was nice to do for the first time.

So yeah, not a lot related about work. But in the evening I just organized the tasks for this week, and finally chatted with @a-fox-studies (nice to finally talk with you!)

Trying to Set up Proxies, Trying to Be Awake

Today I didn't sleep enough and pretty much spent the entire day with some dizziness, I'm fine, but not being able to process things easily.

And of course instead of just rest, I started to look again into trying to set up Nginx and TLS certificates on my homelab, which no progress or success.
