rest messaging
#when i say rest i mean REST ok? my normal typing format doesnt include proper capitalization so it can be hard to tell#was banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why we were sending a failure message with incorrect data in response to the host#and it turned out the host was sending TWO messages and we were responding to the second one by deleting it and sending a message back#the incorrect data came from the host!! it wasnt us parsing bad!! except now we have to convince them that theyre sending us the message#i looked in the specs and its bidirectional but theres only records of us sending it bc apparently we just delete their message if it fails#either theyre sending us the wrong values or were not processing it correctly but in that case its a code change and not my problem!!#anyway i did have to type out a full rest message bc i couldnt copypaste from the vm and it fucking sucked. why so many “”'s#vastly prefer soap bc the gui autocompletes the tags. thats SOAP btw
