Palmer Eldritch { 2011 / original: 1560 x 1200 }
Hommage a Philip K. Dick. In fact my whole body of work is a hommage to him. I tried to avoid the common pitfalls and clichees used when picturing this character. Still needs a lot of work though, i need to find the right balance of the metal plates on the back.

DINNYESZEZON // MELON SEASON

Incoherent Superposition { 2006 / original: 1600 x 1031 }
▲ - 2006 version ▼ - 2013 version
I've started working on this picture in 2006, then I've completely lost interest, considering it only a study in creating absolute visual chaos while still maintaining some order and structure, to make it look less repellent. The one above is the abandoned version; below the new one with some extra layers added, some removed, and with a new general color tone to hold the whole picture together. There's a ton of little details hidden in it, a large amount of them from my other pictures, I think I’ve fitted little pieces from 10 of my other pics into this one. I don’t expect anybody to notice them in this fast-moving image consuming medium that is tumblr :D Further there is a fractal-like quality to it, the spaceman gets smaller and smaller, collapsing into himself.
No need to say the picture is far from ready, see you in another 10 years.

Posthuman { human abstract} . { 2005 / original: 1590 x 1442 }
This is just the profile portrait of a glass-dome headed punk. What's the opposite of prosopagnosia? You know, the mental disorder of face perception where the ability to recognize faces is impaired?
I'm clearly suffering from the opposite, I just see faces everywhere.
Anyway, back in the day when I made this pic, I was clearly listening to too much industrial metal. I think I found this lyric inspirational:
And hell was so cold All the vases are so broken And the roses tear our hands all open Mother Marry miscarry But we pray just like insects And the world is so ugly now

Drops of Madness { masquerada} . { 2006 / original: 1441 x 1908 }
A quote from a famous movie is hidden somewhere in this picture. I like puzzles and riddles a lot, I hide little details in my pics all the time.
The person who finds it wins the full-res version.

HAL 1987 { 2007 / original: 1099 x 1218, click on the link for hi-res version}
As you probably _don't_ know, I created this blog with the original intent to share my thoughts about my collages/paitings.
I wanted a place where I can safely discard the secrets of these pictures --- an undertaking that I am not very comfortable with, but hey, I have to get it out of my system somehow, so why not share it with everybody?
The picture above started just with a photo of a fish I found myself messing with on a party (yes, on a party, with people dancing and drinking around my laptop).
I was high on something so I started to cut the fish in half (HAL stands for fish in Hungarian, by the way) and just having fun inserting different shapes and colors into it, until I reached a point where it all started to make sense.
                                                   ***
This happens to me almost every time, as if a higher power controls my hand and slowly creates an image I was always familiar with, yet which I wasn't trying to make when I started fumbling with it. Strange stuff.
Anyway, I saved it and opened it the next day and of course it looked like shit. It always does when you are working high on something. But the whole concept was making sense to me at that point, so what I tried to express was the general "acidic" feeling of a robotic, cyberpunk creature.
And this is what it's all about: I am always looking to express a general, distant idea, not to depict a certain object. But in the same time I try to keep it visually intriguing and aesthetic (at least in my view), because the idea itself should never dominate over the visual.
It is a picture, after all.
