That was fun to read !! I love hearing about people's ocs cause you can always tell how much love was put into them. Anything to share on the lore of world they live in?

So far, I still think the world building need a little bit more fleshing out but this is most of the lore so far, not the best at it but I did what I could

The world where all of my ocs live in is a place named Thirodona, it's basically a world where every living being is a hybrid from the creatures to the people.

Origins:

The history behind this world is that it was created by the work of those who are called "Great Elders" or "The Fallen Ones" depending on the telling of the story. Each made one part of the land from sea, sky, land, and life.

The names of the four are:

Eirdis the Wise, Cerus the Warrior, Aspen the Kind, and Alaric the Guide

One of the elders, Alaric, didn't share the same sentiment of peace and prosperity like the others and tried to take it all for themselves, resulting in a war that ended in the era of the elders reign.

Three of them are forever remembered by everyone while the fourth is forgotten by all through out time, all except for a particular few who are still devoted to him.

Each of the different hybrid species in the land all vary from regions, such as the bird people hybrids who will live in mountains or forest regions, aquatic hybrids in the sea, and so on. Every species lives in peace with one another but there are some that don't feel the same way.

Dragon Hybrids:

Out of all of them, dragon hybrids are the most reclusive than the rest. The aftermath of the first war resulted in a disdain towards them and are isolated within a mountain top where they still resign in to this day. But as decades past, the tension between the dragons and the other species was forgotten by many and that some dragon hybrids would moved out from their homes to live along side many others hybrids. The reason why some of the dragons refuse to accept other species or leave their homes in the mountains to this day is that the scars it caused was never forgotten by those long ago.

Genetics:

The look of each person and how much of said animal part they will have can be different, some will have more animal parts than others and it will all depend on the genetics past down by the parents.

Little illustration for better explanation:

All people-animal hybrids will only have the part of one animal. By the chance two of the parents are able to conceive but are not within the same animal species, the child will only bear the dominant trait of one of them. So the chances of a person being a hybrid of two other animals is impossible.

Magic System:

Although a majority of the people resigning in the land are practically normal like any other person, there is a unique portion of those who have magical capabilities, as it resulted from ancestors gaining the lingering powers that were left behind by each of the Elders long ago

There are three types of abilities that some are able to posses, they can manifest from either by being past down genetically for generations or from outside sources.

Casters, are the ability to form magic spells from themselves without the need for wands, staffs, or other external magical devices. The magic of those who are casters can vary from elemental (being the most common) to special types of magic.

Shapeshifters have the ability to transform their limbs into more animal like features to benefit them, depending on the animal species, an example being that some aquatic shapeshifters can travel both in land and sea with their ability to change their tail to legs or semi bird hybrids who can turn their arms into talons for better grip.

and Enhancers, they look normal for the surface but the most unique trait about them is that they are gifted with a greater level in physical abilities. Examples of this are faster flight, swimming, strength, or speed, than any other typical hybrid.

The Steampunk City:

This is considered by many as the most profitable area for being known for where most machines, magic enhancements, and flying contraptions are made, the city ClockGale is home to many aspiring inventors, those who move there seek to create and innovate so it was the most popular option.

Some of the inventors are considered big deals in the city as they heavily contribute to the city's economy and are recognised by their ranks, the ranks can depend on how well their creations can affect the public.

And I think that's everything about the world lore currently, It still needs a bit of work and there is still some stuff that I need to address more details on that I haven't fully established yet.

#DontTrollOnMe: How the healthcare industry deals with trolls on social media - 

As more healthcare brands develop a presence online, adverse events embedded in patient comments are no longer their only concerns. Companies are also grappling with postings by web trolls, as well as the rise of misinformation and fake news, which can be particularly strident around health issues.

We asked those in the industry how they deal with trolls on social media. Respondents from healthcare marketing, patient advocacy and more answered via email, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Here’s a compilation of their best practices and strategies:

  The key is first assessing the source - is it truly a troll account dedicated to disparaging others? Typically, they are talking in a vacuum with very few followers so can be ignored. Someone with a critical, yet valid, question is different. #DontTrollOnMe

A few OCs have been born to help populate Seluna’s Story and I’m quite fond of them all! There’s the old married couple Aldgrin and Cenric from Seluna’s hometown, who she knows well because she used to pop round often to help Aldgrin manage his panic attacks. Once she gets settled at Caed Nua she frequently writes letters to them, the men having become a comforting anchor keeping her connected to her past now that her parents are gone.

I also have Eirdis, a single mum who came to Caed Nua after hearing that it could be a safe place to raise her young daughter Ylfa and her hollowborn baby boy Bersi. They end up becoming an important anchor-point themselves, but this time to Seluna’s present and the community she’s successfully building at Caed Nua.

Dunstan is a boy in his late teens that tried to rob Seluna and her party on the road, but she managed to turn that situation on its head and now he’s also setting up at Caed Nua, picking up carpentry from some of the other workers there. He sees Seluna as a saviour that came upon him during a time of need to offer him a new path towards a person he’d much rather be, and through that he becomes very enamoured with Eothas too - the god she worships and credits for shaping her own person and values.

And we’re not there in the story yet, but there’s going to be a tea and cake shop of some kind in Defiance Bay that Seluna frequents when she’s passing through that will have a named man running it. He will eventually send his daughter to open a bakery at Caed Nua, expanding his business. This daughter will become good friends (maybe more?) with Aelys, because while I’m still ironing out exactly how I want all that to go, there is no way Seluna isn’t scooping up that traumatised young woman and bringing her home with her.

I hope you don’t mind me just rambling on about everyone, I don’t think I can pick favourites!
