Love and Deepspoilers about the 3.0 main story update and Caleb’s Anecdote

We truly did not know the depth of Caleb’s Yandere personality. It’s definitely deeper than just “yandere” but WHEW. His anecdote truly threw me for a loop. I thought it had started at his “rebirth”, and then after what happened in the Deepspace Tunnel. BUT THEN! He has that dream about when he was Ever (Ever when I fucking get you) and he already was…without. I don’t know if he was as bad as us since the deaths would take the memories, but that whole section felt extremely cold.

This possessive streak didn’t start after either deaths, but probably after he finally had something so delicate that he didn’t want to destroy. Which in turn became that he didn’t want anything to harm his precious thing.

Caleb is making feel mixed feelings, and that’s exactly how it should be. I’m pissed at him for all the lies and acting like nothing’s wrong, but he keeps bringing up the past which pulls me back.

And at the end of it, he’s someone who faced death not once but twice. That fucks with you. Also, like everyone damn else it seems, HE’S ALSO A FUCKING EXPERIMENT! So that’s another layer of fucked up. What he needs is something to keep him grounded in reality.

Side note: I’ll make a post about all the stuff I perfected later lol

I already don’t fuck with MC as it is, but Caleb’s MC really grinds the fuck outta my gears. Caleb and Sylus have such similarities and yet— you know, I’ll have this Reddit comment explain it, because it does it pretty fucking perfectly.

She treats Sylus like a cartoon villain when he doesn’t do shit. Mans will pull up in Linkon and she’ll be like “What evil tyranny are you up to today?” And he’s just like “I was just doing some clothing shopping” like bitch calm down.

AND THEN THERE’S CALEB. WHERE HE IS DOING THE MOST “IF I DON’T LEAVE HE MIGHT SERIOUSLY HARM ME” and she’s just like “oh well, that’s just Caleb” and before going through his Bond, Myth and Memoria, I thought she was just waving all that shit off. NOPE, HE ACTUALLY DID SHOW HER A FRACTION OF THAT SIDE OF HIM. HE ADMITTED TO HER THAT HE LOCKED HER IN THE FUCKING ATTIC ALL THOSE YEARS AGO. AND THEN WHEN HE’S VERY OBVIOUSLY GOING TO LOCK HER UP AGAIN, SHE’S JUST LIKE “Huwuh?”

LIKE GIRL, YOUR LACK OF SELF PRESERVATION ASTONISHES ME.

And it just gets worse and worse and worse because she just gives in. She willingly falls into his insanity. She loses every bit of herself for him and it fucking sucks. Caleb is an amazingly written character. I hate him, but there’s a draw to him (BUT I’M NOT ABOUT TO BE ACTING LIKE HER BECAUSE OF IT). But MC entirely loses any sense of self she has to him, hell at the end of his Myth she just becomes him (Don’t get me fucking started on the back end of the Myth. That’s a whole other rant. Which, hell, if they really are Adam and Eve decent then I guess it makes sense since Eve was created from the rib of Adam).

But man it fucking sucks. All her responses take me out of the immersion, and not because of the mischaracterization (lol), but because she’s just so fucking dumb.
