I bring a bucket of scolding hot water into kane’s cell and dunk his face in it several times (wearing certain equipment that prevents it from burning me)

When I’m done, I dump the bucket into him and leave

i know you likely meant "onto him", not "into him", but i'm gonna take your typo and run with it

Kane is fresh from a mockery of a vivisection when you visit him, and the hunter who last tormented him did not bother to seal him back up this time. While most just use silver to cauterize his wounds and melt his flesh back together, this one has left him to bleed, viscera exposed. He sits in the corner of his cell, arms covered in blood and gore as he attempts to hold his insides inside.

He'd though he'd narrowly escaped burning today. His face falls when he sees the steam coming out of the bucket.

Kane is used to burning, and tries to employ the same method he uses with the sun: resist the urge to scream, keep his eyes and mouth shut tight. His face still gets horribly burnt, and it hurts beyond belief. It's not as bad as the sun, but his body still wracks with muffled sobs. He can't see when you dump the remainder of the bucket into his open, gaping body, but his screams do ring throughout the cell then.
