As a heads up, I'm going to be converting this blog to be mostly my main/pokemon blog. I've been thinking about it for a while tbh and when it comes down to it, I've been feeling a huge disconnect from selfshipping as a whole for a while. It was nice and a great way for me to cope before I was able to get mental health care, but it's definitely more of a hobby now more than anything. Don't get me wrong, I still love my funky little gals and guys and it's fun to think about them in different scenarios! I'm still going to always lose my shit over Piers! But honestly? All of my "inserts" have basically come into their own, if that makes sense. They are not me. They may share a name with me sometimes but that's definitely an OC, that and I'm too lazy to rename the various Mandas and Jeannes across franchises cause that shit is a lot of work. And besides, literally everyone who has made a character has put some of themself into it and I know that I'm not wrong--

Now, what does this mean for me/the blog?

I'm still gonna post how I feel like posting. Things are going to be a lot less selfship focused. If anything, I'm leaning more on the side of oc x canon and oc x oc cause that's where I'm finding more enjoyment. No more fancy carrd with f/os and all that happy stuff, it's just going to be an about. No long ass dni honestly who the hell even takes the time to read them anymore (I mean, I do, but not the point I'm trying to make here). Granted my dni was never long in the first place but kgjwjdjejejjfayhs still. I'm still deciding if I'm going to go through the blogs I follow and trim things up. If I unfollow you, by no means is it anything against you and there are no hard feelings on my end. And if you'd like to unfollow me due to my focus shift, I encourage that.

Honestly over all, I haven't had a lot of energy to be publicly online in a while, anyway. It's what happens when you work full time, go to school part time, and have some mental disorders and a chronic illness that's been fucking you over since you were 2. The burnout is real lmao. I'd rather enjoy myself when I'm on tumblr than be all bleh, ya know?

I mean this when I say I did enjoy my time when I was selfship focused, but I think that part of my life is... Not quite behind me, but not a major part of my future anymore. In some aspects, it made my mental health worse, if I'm being honest, and I should have never let it get to that point. Granted that was before I was able to get diagnosed and start my mental health journey, but still. Should have stopped as soon as I felt myself not doing okay. I'm not going to dumb down or sugar coat myself anymore (granted I haven't been for a while but eh is what it is). I'm probably going to be leaving most servers I've been a part of and clean up my discord as well.

I'll still post self ship stuff here occasionally cause I mean, c'mon it's my blog I can do whatever the hell I want with it forever.

Y'know i'm a bit proud of where i left off in Maplestory. Joined EUboot years ago and i wanted to be pure solo. Re-building my progress i left off in NAboot but doing it a lot better with my legion/link mules this time and knowing what to do was honestly very satisfying. In NAboot i was too lazy to do anything and it took me years to finally want to grind and build legion/link mules. For the longest time i never even grinded i just did a party quest over and over again until 200... no wait i think that was in Scania but i guess my point still stands. And i also went into guilds and got carries but uh, i don't want to remember my time in guilds...

But originally i wanted to find a new main besides my Pathfinder and Ho Young in NAboot but then i realized that Ho Young is still perfect for me so i stuck to em', with side maining a Kain as well. And after years of grinding i gotten my Kain to 240 and my Ho Young to 260! my biggest achievement in Maplestory! well, next to me getting my first 21* equip by a crazy stroke of luck lmao, barely broke less than 8b to get it iirc, and that was when i wanted to take a long break from Maplestory, will i still go back to it in the future? probably because i really like the new character coming out, but man without totems grinding is gonna be a big chore... Oh well.

...Did i repeat myself again? Eh, whatever.

Though honestly, if i were to somehow improve anything in my art/writing i probably wouldn't play Maplestory again, i really wish for that, tired of going through all the shit Nexon makes me go through.

It's all about the atmosphere and having a good plot with complex characters! As for happy endings, as long as they're not cheesy or cliché, then I'll like it!

she's an Undertale oc. her name is Fate. she's 11 years old and is a human, but has a monster soul for reasons

she fell into the underground when she was 10, and her soul was still a human one, a soul of patience. she explored for a while and met Gaster, the Royal Scientist at the time. Gaster captured her and took her to the lab and ran experiments on her and her soul, eventually turning her soul into a monster one. idk how because monster souls are made of magic and human ones are made of determination but eh. Gaster can do it and it gives amgst material so I don't care lmao

anyways, so Fate had already been having nightmares LONG before this because of the experiments, but this just made that SO MUCH WORSE LMAO

eventually, Alphys, Gaster's lab assistant, found Fate and basically went "Gaster what the fuck-" Gaster wouldn't let Fate leave, so while Gaster was gone one day, Alphys helped Fate escape. Fate ran off to hide with Sans and Papyrus, who have connections to Gaster that like. nobody knows HOW they're connected to G but they are lmao

so uh. eventually the monsters break the barrier, a magic forcefield to keep the monsters underground for reasons. (a war (☞ ᐛ )☞) and Fate gets let out, along with G and everyone else. Fate immediately ran off to her friends from before she fell, and G went to do his own thing etc

uh G ended up becoming a nicer person over a few months after getting to the surface, and he met a few of my other ocs, like Meadow and Skyla, who now know G as a good person. Skyla was a grey soul, (basically when your soul is really damaged and it messes with your emotions) and there wasn't anything wrong with Meadow it's just them and G's friendship is wholesome so-

anyways Gaster helped with Skyla's soul (wonder where he got the knowledge /s lmao) and he gave Meadow some extra magic.

Fate ended up crossing paths with G after hearing Meadow and Sky talking about how great G is and how nice he was

she got v e r y upsetti with G, yelling at him over the nightmares and experiments and her soul and etc. Gaster tried apologizing but Fate didn't care lmao (why would she)

Fate still sleeps with stuffed animals and tries not to sleep, due to the nightmares. she's gotten used to functioning while being super tired and is severely sleep deprived. her necklace and stuffed animal are comfort items for her. her stuffed animal is a stuffed bunny she got while in the underground.

she is very easy to scare, and make upset/cry. whenever she has nightmares she likes going on walks at night through the woods, because she loves stars and nature and it comforts her. her magic is star shaped ninja star kinda thingys that glow, and a light blue shield (the color of the soul of patience) that's shaped like a flower. and she can teleport. she can only use so much magic a day though, because of how weak her magic is thanks to her soul. she can only teleport twice a day, for example. her star attacks do less damage the more magic she uses, too, and her shield gets weaker.

her hair is SUPER LONK, like down to her knees, and it's super thick and wavy/slightly curly (I wanna braid it)

she also knows how to climb trees.

her necklace is a monster soul. my other oc Rainbow made it for her when she learned about Fate's soul. she'll never tell them how she got the soul. especially not Meadow or Skyla.

What are your predictions for UtE and what do you wish would happen?

I still haven't read DoA, which I am planning on doing but haven't gotten around to bc I'm lazy and not very motivated for it, so I have no clue where the storyline (if one can call it that) left off, let alone where it's currently leading lmao

In general, one thing that I do kind of expect to happen and also kind of want to happen - as weird as it sounds - is Dexter's death. He's the last of the dead men still running around apart from Skul and I just think it'd be kind of poetic if all of them had died by the end except for Skulduggery, who's technically been dead the whole time but is now the only one of them still amongst the living.

Another thing that I think is pretty likely but am not so sure if I'd like would be Mevolent coming back again from the eternity gate, though probably just for one dramatic fight rather than becoming an important part of the plot.

Serpine making a return is also pretty likely imo, and chances are good he's gonna play a slightly bigger role (def not smth major tho). Tbh I also expect him to die, worst case but also most probable would be in a one line side sentence like Solomon Wreath or something ridiculous which would suck but eh, I don't rlly expect anything else.

All in all, I don't have very high hopes for Until the End, but I'm definitely not as pessimistic as other people rn. I'm pretty much open for whatever's gonna happen, even if it's shit and doesn't make much sense - as long as I get a couple laughs out of it I'm happy enough.

Escape Room 1: it was a nice concept! Fresh and fun, I though. Plus, I really love psychological thrillers, so this movie was up my alley. I think the characters behaved quite naturally for people placed in the situation they were in, and they were all unique enough to where they evokes certain emotions from you. The cinematography was awesome and I enjoyed a majority of the film. The ending was a bit, "eh..." for me. Mostly bc wtf was that plane scene? I also didn't like how they "seemingly" won, but it turns out they just got fucked over again by some allknowing being like...shut up

Escape Room 2: the ending from the last one didn't have me too excited for the second one, ngl. I was happy so see Holland Rolland in it, however, so it was okay. I said, "they finally got her in something other than teen wolf" ☠️☠️☠️ anyway. I'll be real, the second one didn't have my full attention one hundred percent of the time lmao. The scenes were still very pretty, but the premise was too similar to the first one. And like...of course it's gonna be? Bc they're in the same type of situation?? But damnn, I didn't need a lot of this. And it was very :/ bc the main girl (I forget her name) was acting more reckless in the second film like...wasn't she supposed to be the cautious one? And the dude who didn't gaf was more logical most of the time? Come on man... I also didn't like how they were all like, "ooh, in my game..." like...this isn't your first game, focus on the now omg

And don't get me started on how they kept bringing back people! Why didn't the military vet die?? Her plot and why she was making the game was stupid and it felt like someone pulled it out of their ass at the last minute 😒

Part two was annoying and I barely remember the ending. I feel like they set it up for a part three? But who knows...

Omgg I agree, I enjoyed the first one, it was an interesting premise and it had a good set of characters. Also at first it wasn’t quite clear (to me at least) who the MC was or if there even was one and I thought that was kind of cool too? Or for example I knew Zoe (?) wasn’t actually dead when she died from that poison but still. Predictability doesn’t always have to be bad. Omg it was annoying that they all kinda worked alone tho? 💀 like whenever someone found a clue/hint/whatever they would spend 5 minutes trying to solve it on their own like I’m sure at least one life could have been spared if they actually talked to each other dhsks

But I didn’t like the end either like I hate how nowadays they’re always setting everything up for a part two like ofc I get they want to make money but chill. If you’re a good writer you can easily make a part two even if you didn’t set up the whole plot in the previous film. And tbh even after the second film I didn’t understand how the ‘boss’ (idr his name) knew EVERYTHING. like i was so sure there was gonna be something supernatural involved bc even with all the technology we have today and genius people.. it’s just way too unrealistic that they planned everything THAT well. And idm unrealistic films but like this was supposed to be a realistic psychological thriller so.

I was happy that Holland was in it too! And yeah I think I’ve only ever seen her as Lydia tbh 😭and she looked so different (and more grown up obv) but I was happy to see her. And omg yeah I mean maybe it was just the novelty of it but I liked the rooms in the first one more too. And same same same I mean Zoe was so shy in the first film and I liked that she became more confident but at the same time.. aren’t you traumatised lmao. And I would have liked if they gave her a different arc with her confidence like idk in the first one she was shy and got a bit more confident bc she solved some clues and obviously the end but idk. They did talk about the trauma tho which I liked bc usually in those type of films the go through a life altering situation and two days later they’re sitting on some beach and chilling like shouldn’t you be in therapy💀 good for them if they’re not traumatised but it’s usually so unrealistic. And yeahh they kept talking about their old games that, in the end, had nothing to do w this one as if they had any time to waste lol.

ALSO i didn’t realise that they were not together??? At the end of ER 1 i thought they were together and on a date and in the second one i also thought they were together but then when he “died” she was like ‘he was my best friend’… ma’am didn’t you see how you were looking at each other? They didn’t kiss but that didn’t matter like they were clearly in love and I was at least hoping for friends to lovers bc it was just annoying that nothing romantic actually happened between them. And yeah the end of the second one.. I think they set it up for a part 3 but I stopped paying attention by then shsksjssk but the girl (the actress who plays that esther orphan girl) locked her dad in and said she’s gonna make her parents proud by making even cooler escape rooms but like i said i wasn’t fully paying attention so maybe that’s not what she said lol

The person immediately took a defensive stance, drawing a pistol and dagger from their body and facing it right in your direction

A squeak immediately followed

"Gods- pl- please don't h-hurt me-e!"

They slowly approached to your hidey-tunnel under the dusty desks, gripping it and tossing it aside to reveal your small frame looking at him

You two just stare at each other, you breathing heavily in fear

After a good couple seconds, he backs away and continues further into the library

Confusedly, you follow him, a couple steps behind in fear that he'll turn and attack

He didn't, only looked at your stacks of books on your favorite weird animals and picked one up, skimming the pages

You were so confused wtf was he doing

You were so lost in your thoughts you accidentally bumped into him again

He turned to look at you, and you internally freaked out, but your mind was preoccupied with one question- which tumbled out of your mouth

"What are you doing here? Who are you??"

He only kept his goggles trained on you, not answering your question. Then turned away again

For the rest of his time there, he just wandered around and looked at books, then he left

You felt kinda sad, you kinda wanted to be his friend. He looked lonely

But, the following days, he came back at around the same time

Eventually warming up to your presence with him, he spoke few words at a time

You learned his name, Hank

He seemed to be surprised that you didn't know his name

That's what u get for being secluded in a library most of the time tbh

He likes sitting in silence with you and listening to you draw

Project # 1: Portfolio Site and Blogsite Theme

Stage 1: Illustrations (09-30-21)

here's a quick timelapse. my photoshop actually failed multiple times when I was doing this vector but eh, everything worked out in the end. I know that I should've Adobe Illustrator and saved it as SVG, but I don't have the application and I'm not familiar with AI that much huhu. PNG will do for now.

Stage 2: Prototype and Layout Design (09-30-21)

Creating the UI Design on Figma. I've been loving the color green lately so I decided to use it as the primary color for my site! Made the prototype for mobile and tablet viewing as well, including dark mode (which i won't be doing btw)

Stage 3: CODING -- HTML (10-04-21)

Got distracted for the next 4 days (smh!) But I started coding the site today. Looking pretty good

Stage 4.0: CSS and Responsiveness -- Header Section (10-05-21)

I implemented using SASS for this site for the first time ever and it made coding the CSS sososososo much easier!

I spent a lot of time making sure that everything looks nice in every size of the screen! Making the page responsive was what took me a lot of time to finish this section because this will be the first time that I was gonna make a responsive website. Turned out okay, I'm kinda proud of it! 💕

Also, ended up using Haikei for the back wavy SVG background. I liked this one better :) Also learned that there was something called aspect-ratio, took me a lot of time to understand this because I didn't search about it lmao. Trial and error for the sizing!

Stage 4.1: Portfolio Section (10-06-21)

I forgot to record the trouble I had with aligning the contents in the 'portfolio' section but I spent a lot of time trying to align them every time I resize the screen. Turns out, I just had to add one line of code haha. You learn something new every day

Ended up not following the prototype for this section. The original plan was for a box to appear every time I hover the image but realized that how will that work on mobile? So I ended up following this tutorial instead!

Stage 4.2: About and Toolbox Section (10-06-21) (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Spent HOURS trying to get this right, I even made a box model to follow but none of it worked lmao. I ended up putting everything on the trash and went to sleep hahaha

Stage 4.4: Contact and Footer Section (10-12-21)

A/N: Okay I know, I slacked off for the past 5 days before continuing this project but I got a new dog, got vaccinated, enjoyed my last few days in this town, and I've planned what I was gonna do with my life this month since I'm moving back to Baguio in a week. Life has been uhhhh asdasdas. Oh and I've been watching mechanical keyboard vids for more hours than I really should instead of working my shit together. Anyway...

I also had a hard time aligning this huhu I'm really sorry for being a noob and being a slow coder but yep! Done! Although the contact form doesn't actually work lmao. Apparently, I need to have a backend but I'm too lazy for that huhu.

Stage 4.5: Darkmode (10-13-21)

Tried to do this but I had a hard time aligning the dark/day mode logo on the right and for it to appear whenever the size gets smaller. I know I gave up too soon but I just want this project to be over, it has taken me too long. I'll save this part for next time, I'm sorry.

So yeah, things to improve:

Update (06-30-22)

Update: Took a break for how many months, because I moved to a new city, adjusted, focused on work and making extra incomes, and doing my hobbies huhu but I'm back!

I did design a new website to add to my portfolio earlier this year on Figma but ended up halting it, too because I volunteered for 2 months to campaign for VP Leni for presidency. She ended up not winning and it did hurt a lot but at least I met a lot of new people and I'm proud to say that I stood my ground and fought for what I believe is right. It definitely was a time of my life. ANYWAY!!! Back to the website.

I actually started a few days ago, but I updated my Sass because apparently, the one that I was using hasnt been updated for 3 years now. Anyway, Sass stopped working and I had to use @use and @forward but I wasted a olot of time trying to fix it so I decided to stop using Sass and just transfer everything to regular CSS. My website worked again. Took me time to adjust with the syntax of CSS again, and I think I'll just stay and use pure CSS this time to avoid confusion and easy implementation between html, css, and javascript.

Goods news, again. I fixed the typewriting effect and dark/light mode!

Other than the contact form that's not really working, I'm basically done, I just need to add more to my portfolio site and I'll put this site on live and I'm gonna use tumblr to host it. :) Next project is to code this blogsite so I can link it on my portfolio and social media!

Stage 5: Coding the Blogsite (July 4-5, 2022)

OH MY GOD AAAAA. I know I've been putting this project on the side for almost a year now. I've wasted so many months because I just didn't have the motivation because I thought I couldn't do them but I get to finish them in a span of like 1-2 days. Why do I doubt myself so much, I have so much potential. Anyway, this blogsite is now live and I'm so happy about it. I'll make a separate post for it.

Next step is convert the codes for my portfolio site so it can be rendered by tumblr again, connect my other project designs to the portfolio corner and probably apply for a company and (HOPEFULLY???) finally get hired!!

I'm still contemplating whether to move to Mania for office word or just stick to WFH because I really don't wanna waste so much time on traffic in the city. I'm blabbering now. Goodbye hahaha

Not a bad drawer but he rather keep it basic

Has a small sketchbook with him and he'll always doodle when he's bored or in a middle of a lecture (while taking notes of course)

His main skill in drawing tho is painting

The colors blends in so well with one another and he's good at picking color palettes

Also, he doesn't really get that annoyed if some kids from his class ask him to teach them how to draw

Or even look through his sketchbook

He'll just nod and hand it to them without a second thought

Onaga cannot properly hold the black pen and do the lineart, it’ll always turn wonky and he had to throw it away

Another decent drawer and her drawings are almost the same as Akaashi’s

I have a headcanon that Kaori have a journal and does journaling so that’s prolly the reason why her drawings are cute af

But honestly, her drawings sometimes depends on her mood,

If she’s mad or frustrated, her drawing would look kinda rough and not that cute anymore

If she’s feeling happy tho, It’ll look so nice and cuddly does that even make any sense

Isn’t necessarily an art kid but would love to try be one

And she totally have drawing sessions with Washio aaaaaa,

He admit that he’s not an art kid but draws godly as if he had been thought since he was a kid,

I think Ginjima actually wanted to be a drawer when he was still a little kid way before he started his 3rd year of middle school

So he practiced a few and became a nice drawer since then,

But he kinda quit being a drawer and decided to go with volleyball

And guess what?

He’s from class 7 AND I really think that he’ll be good at drawing

Well, he can draw a few things but he struggles drawing other things he never accustomed to

But!

Oomimi is that kid who’s good at drawing scenery

He knows basic color palettes and which is cold and hot colors

So the scenery drawing would always look good

He get a lot of compliments for the drawing (50% of it from Akagi)

I think he doesn’t have that many time to relax and draw freely but when he does have it, it’ll just be small and simple doodles

um, let’s go with 8/10 <3

Aran

I truly believe that Aran can draw peoples face but in a pretty decent amount

He’s also good with anatomy teach me your ways king

But as much as he’s good at that, he kinda sucks at drawing any kind of background drawings

Mans can’t draw a scenery I’m telling you

As if the background doesn’t even exist in his mind lolol I’m sorry Aran lovers, I didn’t mean that in a bad way

Mainly uses copic markers to color and color pencils to shade

The first time he use the copic marker, he got really frustrated that the marker stain the other pages lmao

And he never uses digital drawing applications or softwares

Aran just doesn’t

I think I’ll rate him, 8.5/10

Kita

Okay, I know that Kita’s a top student and never fails in anything

But he’s not typically a good drawer that much

His drawing still got good marks but when you look at it, it just looks normal

I just know that the Kita lovers gonna get me after this

It’s not that bad and not that good, just a nice balance in between

I personally think Kita’s not that godly in drawing but rather a neutral drawer

He draw what he can and does shading and coloring when it’s needed

The colors are all basic colors, no pastel, no neon

And the shadings are pretty basic

Just a normal drawer here

Hey! Can I ask for your overall thoughts on Shadow and Bone? I'm thinking about watching it.

Hello!

(This is not spoiler free opinion lmao)

I think overall the show is pretty neat but just like any shows it has flaws (and some parts I nitpick) they made misstep that really leaves me tired (re: the weird-ass no depth racism to Shu Han.).

If you love shady people doing shady things while fun to look at and give you feelings, I think you'd love the crows (Kaz, Inej, Jesper, and also Nina and Matthias.) which honestly the main reason why I watched the show at all. They are really my highlights for the shows and make me can't wait for the SOC time! (That said I heard they can't do the storyline before the Darkling out of the picture because Jurda Parem (a drug that makes Grisha dependent on it) which honestly sounds lazy because SOC appeals are really the heist, not Jurda Parem and I can think a way to corporate it even then).

But for the main storyline, I really wish I can love it especially since it could be interesting but eh, it not quite landing to me. (My knowledge of the book (TGT, I already read SOC duology before) is also mostly comes from a friend that reading it while screaming at me lol).

Overall, I think it's a good show for all its flaws and I think it worth picking up for the acting, the crows, VFX, and music. There are really good moments too.

(I'll put my opinion about the main storyline under the cut and it's full of spoiler so read under caution anon)

Like first, the whole Alina being part-Shu in the show and not even a few minutes in there already have a form of racism against her being part-Shu. It's really so hard to go through that I mostly tuned out or have to stop and take a breather. I usually fast binge watcher but it took me few days because of it.

Since in the book, Alina is not part-Shu, I know there wouldn't be reckoning or any more exploration on the matter so it feels like giving the protag (and Asian viewer but especially East Asian descent) more trauma for the sake of it and it's not only very surface level but cheap. Not a fun experience at all.

Second, the geopolitical in the show (and its lack of care). First, we know that they are at war with Shu Han and Fjerdan but there is also a subplot about West Ravka is preparing for a coup and independence from Ravka BUT I don't think the show actually explains the war and why it was happening, and how it affected Ravka that regardless you are Grisha or not, you are drafted to Army anyway. Also, for all it suffering the Fold caused, it really gives a question what would happen after it's gone because I don't think it would become the magical fix-it, that the war suddenly stopped, and on top of that in the show, the West Ravka is about to coup so it could even end up in Civil War instead of a united Ravka. I wonder how would the show handle it since according to my friend, the coup is a shows-only plot. Well, I do hope there more care toward the geopolitics in next season.

Third, the Darkling. He is probably the most controversial character right now with the sheer of people who either hate or love him lmao. I personally think he is an intriguing antagonist and villain. I can totally buy how he become totally callous on the cost for individuals as he looked in the bigger picture but at the same time, I think it's a pity that he had to the big bad in the trilogy, since he was the person who defended Grisha at the beginning, the one who makes sure the Little Palace could be the place where Grisha thrive and doesn't have to hide their power (which could lead them to have decline health if they suppress it). My other friend said he felt like Magneto which probably not too far off, with how he justified his action all in the name of his people. I just think if Grisha was persecuted, I'd like the big bad is the oppressors instead of him but eh, rice has become porridge, guess I just gotta see how the shows would roll it.

Not gonna lie, I am curious how would they develop Alina in the next season mostly because I want to see Alina like in 1X05, Alina who relied on herself and confident and making decisions for herself. (I don't care about the shipping and so I won't comment on shipping but I wish when Alina runaway from the Little Palace, instead of being told by Bahgra she found the letter by herself and then decide thing for herself. It'd be more cathartic.)
