all of this mythology talk on here has led me to the ultimate realization that of all of the major mythologies/religions that tend to have their stories and characters discussed, the one with the most functional relationships between two brothers is the greek pantheon. with hades poseidon and zeus. no i am not kidding.

#personal #i literally am not kidding they're the most functional #especially when compared to like cain and abel and shit #you know what it is it's because for some godforsaken reason #greek mythology is so much more a comedy than a lot of other mythologies #like norse mythology has comedic moments but it's balanced out by ten different stories of 'the aesir torture loki's kids for no reason'#egyptian mythology just gets sooooo unbelievably dark #and meanwhile the greeks are like 'poseidon has to try and mediate between his two dipshit nephews over an affair'#'while his other more party boy nephews are laughing their asses off at the predicament'#(read about how hephaestus discovered ares and aphrodite were having an affair it's great)#but like literally the hellenistic religion was basically a sitcom with prayer #everyone else is in constant prestige drama mode
