So, a reflection on the vote by @fernsnailz

Let me express in one unremarkable corner one completely unremarkable opinion in a completely unremarkable tone.

I'll start by picking apart the big picture of Team Darhk's characters.

Rouge:

She's pretty kind, and she cares about her friends, even though she sometimes tries to cover it up with a snide grin. Even considering the fact that she sometimes steals jewelry, Miss Rouge doesn't sink morally, nor does she become a "true criminal". In fact, I think she would be perfect for the role of a mom or big sister. Rouge takes care of Shadow and Omega, somewhere subduing their fervor, somewhere cheering them up. I don't know how to explain it, but I picture her exactly as a big sister. A slightly harmful, cunning, but loving sister who will never let you down.

About Omega:

The kind of goofy guy who will do anything to achieve a goal in the craziest way possible. Neutral towards everyone possibly except enemies. It's people like Omega that I think make a fun highlight in any company. Armed with guns? So what, look at him sweetly chatting nonsense with that little girl over there. Is that thing capable destroying? I don't think so, look at the way he's looking at those flowers! I think I'll make him a bunch of them.

Omega's like a big, kind fat guy who's been bullied and now all he wants is revenge. I thought he was the funniest character in the comics, despite his somewhat violent nature.

Finally, Shadow:

He suffered a deep emotional trauma that is forever lodged in his poor heart (you know what I mean) but despite that, he hasn't lost faith in his friends.

Note the chapter of Sonic IDW when Shadow was captured by the eggcrystals. He no longer believed in himself, resigned to the fact that he was pathetic. But when he heard Silver, he woke up, believing in his own strength again. Shadow is secretive, rude, even cruel. But he trusts his friends, though he doesn't always accept a helping hand.

Do you know why I voted for him? He's the kind of character that deserves respect. Shadow is working on himself, though perhaps slowly. I respect him for moving forward.
