🌸🌲 June 28th-July 2nd, 2018 🌲🌸 My first time at Electric Forest was easily one of the best times of my life. The weather ended up being 100+ degrees with the heat index and super humid all five days with winds between 15-30mph. It was this constant cycle of wiping down with baby wipes, putting on sunscreen, sweating buckets, getting coated in dust and dirt, then repeat for 5 days straight. But my two goals were to make it through the fest without getting sunburnt and to smell good the entire time, both of which I accomplished 😎 I saw people getting sunburnt that had been sitting in the shade all day, so that gives you an idea of just how intense the sun was 😵 Tony and I spent the entire time together and explored the forest, finding awesome hidden gems and getting close with all the nature in the woods. I even found a holographic Pikachu card at the giving tree! And I was able to help plant a flower on one of the art displays because the artist randomly invited me to, then we got to water the display and wash off the armor. It was so much fun interacting with the artwork and artist! On Sunday, the venue was evacuated due to severe weather coming in; so we made it to our cars at the campsite and watched from inside as an hour-long downpour rolled in. Luckily I had brought my rain boots, so I changed outfits and was reading to dance in puddles for the rest of the night. After the storm as we waited in the 90 min line of people trying to get back in the fest, there was this mind-blowing sunset that we got to watch in its entirety so the waiting wasn’t even that bad. Then I proceeded to splash and dance in mud and puddles until 2am 🤗 I had the time of my life. I can’t wait to go back next year 🌸💕🌸💕🌸
