Nothing feels better than looking up “Why do people like [insert movie name]?” Makes me feel like a proper hater.

thinking about eeaao’s constant use of hands. the dancing with hands. hands for comedy. hands for fighting and most importantly, hands for reaching out, clinging to people. how when we lose the ability to properly use our hands, we turn to alternative methods to reach. to touch. to cling. even in universes of failure, even in worlds with hot dog fingers, we see how hands are used as a vessel for touch and connection and compassion.

just watched everything everywhere all at once and I think what really got me, what had me sobbing so hard I could barely breath, was how the whole movie felt like watching an argument with my mom in abstract. the buildup of anxiety and the push and the pull and the trying so hard to understand each other through an life experience, and language barrier and getting it wrong again and again but still trying until the arguments ends and we are left not with anymore understanding about the thing that started the argument but with the understanding that beneath everything there is still love
