Meriden Party Rentals, LLC

Nestled in New Haven County, Meriden, Connecticut, is rich in history and vibrant in culture. Positioned between New Haven and Hartford, this city is part of the South Central Connecticut Planning Region and had a population of 60,850 in 2020. With roots dating back to its days as part of Wallingford, Meriden became an independent town in 1806 and was incorporated as a city in 1867. Its name was inspired by the village of Meriden in England, and it boasts the Solomon Goffe House, the oldest standing house built in 1711, now a cherished museum.

Meriden’s industrial boom in the late 19th century earned it a significant place in manufacturing history. The city became renowned for its silver production, earning the moniker "Silver City." The Meriden Britannia Company was an important player, later merging into the International Silver Company. Additionally, companies like Edward Miller & Co. and Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company specialized in lamps and metalware. At the same time, the C.F. Monroe Company and Meriden Flint Glass Company were noted for their exquisite glassware. Manning, Bowman & Co. produced small kitchen appliances, and Parker Brothers were famous for their high-quality firearms. Musical instruments crafted by Wilcox and White and the Aeolian Company added to the city’s industrial prestige.

The city is also known for its beautiful public spaces, notably Hubbard Park. This park, designed with input from the Olmsted Brothers, features the iconic Castle Craig, dedicated in 1900, offering breathtaking views. The Curtis Memorial Library opened in 1903 and serves as a cultural landmark. In 1860, Meriden hosted a speech by Abraham Lincoln during his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. From 1937 to 1950, the International Silver Company sponsored the popular Silver Theater radio and TV show, featuring Hollywood stars and showcasing Meriden’s influence in entertainment.

Technological innovation also marked Meriden’s history. In 1939, Edwin Howard Armstrong, a pioneer in radio technology, used West Peak for one of the first FM radio broadcasts. During World War II, Meriden's factories operated continuously, earning the city the title of "National Ideal War Community" in 1944. The post-war era saw Meriden become a center for modern art, thanks to the Miller Company and art collectors Burton and Emily Hall Tremaine. Their "Painting toward Architecture" exhibition gained national recognition, placing Meriden on the contemporary art and design map.

In 1987, the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation was established to support the arts, learning disabilities, and the environment, reflecting Meriden’s ongoing commitment to cultural and social development. The city also served as a filming location for the 1989 movie "Jackknife," starring Robert De Niro, which brought Hollywood glamour to local landmarks. Despite facing social challenges in the early 1980s, including the presence of the Ku Klux Klan, Meriden has continued to grow and evolve.

Today, Meriden is home to the Franciscan Sisters and Brothers of the Eucharist and hosts the headquarters of Eastern Mountain Sports. name: emm birthday: january 25th first muse on tumblr: this boy. chad freaking charming, october 2017 y’all first rp url: throwback to the iconic chxd-chxrming or if we are counting my multi which i created four years prior but never done anything on it’s irreflcx. why did you pick your first muse?: it sound’s stranger but i loved his character? i had never imagined keeping his blog longer than a week, i had no idea how this site really worked, i thought i’d flutter back to my old rp group but no i stayed and y’all had to put up with me. but the reason i picked him? to me he just seemed different to his peers a hero kid that didn’t always do what was right but instead acted on what he thought was right. then i read the books, studied s.o.s and just fell in love. latest muse on tumblr: black sails based anne bonny.  latest rp url: @pyratefckd, anne’s url. it took my ages to come up with one i kind of liked. why did you pick your latest muse?: my pirate obsession started back on @corsairturned when i was playing through black flag, then i started black sails. why not it was on prime. quickly i fell in love with her watching the show. i found her such an interesting character at first i was like “these bitches touching flints crew?” and the ranger crew just, did not like but that soon turned to wow need to protect after we see their journey and what she went through. it was a lot and i just adore her. just this journey of self-discovery she had of not really being her own person then she get abandoned so she has to figure herself out... wonderful. best rp memory: i don’t know there a  lot of high points. i love late night games of ic cards, the  zombies dash crack was hilarious... but for me a high point will always be talking about characters just building relationships and chatting about characters in depth. i love every moment of it. you can just see how much people care for their muses and nothing makes me happier than that. really. i love it. but adding to that characters are wonderful but one of  the best parts i’ve found about rping is it’s the people. muns. omfg. there’s so many people i adore talking to all my partners are just wonderful and just deserve the best in life. worst rp memory: i haven’t had that many but there was just a point last year i felt like deleting because i did feel pressured into a lot of things and guilt tripped after a bit of drama. i felt so uncomfortable being on this blog. it  wasn’t a good time but it’s in the past, no need to delve into it. ONCE UPON A TIME: MEET THE NEW CAST

The Princess and the Frog heroine will take center stage in episode 5 when viewers get to see her origin story, but it doesn't necessarily follow the film. "We're not redoing the movie," Horowitz says. "We're taking it as a jumping off point. We want to honor the character and make sure we're true to it, but we have a Once Upon a Time spin." In Seattle, Tiana's counterpart Sabine will play a vital role. "Her relationship with Cinderella is like Snow and Red's," Kitsis says. "They're roommates, they're good friends."

Once Upon a Time's New and Returning Faces

The ABC fairy tale drama is undergoing a major reboot heading into its seventh season. To keep track of the new and returning characters, EW turned to executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis to get the scoop.

Cinderella (Dania Ramirez)

We'll meet this new iteration of the glass-slippered princess — who is Henry's wife and Lucy's mom — in the midst of her iconic fairy tale story, but there's a twist. "We'll find out she's not necessarily looking for her prince," Kitsis says. Her cursed Hyperion Heights counterpart, meanwhile, is named Jacinda. "We see a single mother who is struggling to keep her family together, keep her life together and keep her head up against many obstacles. Lady Tremaine (Gabrielle Anwar)

The new big bad is Cinderella's evil stepmother, "who wants to get to the top and will use any means necessary," says Kitsis, teasing that her Hyperion Heights counterpart takes the form of a developer named Victoria trying to gentrify the neighborhood and push out the fairy tale characters. But there's more to Lady Tremaine than we may yet realize. “Lady Tremaine doesn’t like Cinderella very much and she’s got an agenda," Horowitz says. "But there is something broiling beneath that’s personal and painful that is driving all of this."

Drizella (Adelaide Kane)

Cinderella's step-sister is "deliciously evil," says Kitsis. "She presents herself to be as evil as the evil stepsisters promise to be, but like everything in Once Upon a Time, you never know what's underneath it." Viewer, beware: She may even rival her mother, Lady Tremaine. "She takes a lot of abuse from her mom," Kitsis says, "but I wonder how long that will last." Horowitz adds: "There's a lot going on inside of Drizella, and she earned the evil moniker."

Alice (Rose Reynolds)

Another new iteration of a familiar face, Alice from Wonderland fame "is a character in the vein of Rumplestiltskin in that you don’t really quite know what she’s up to, where she’s going or where she’s been," Kitsis says — a fact Rumple, in particular, will find curious.

The daughter of Henry and Cinderella has the unenviable task that her father also faced as a child. "Lucy, right now, has to bear the burden of the truest believer because her father no longer does," Kitsis says. "It is up to her to get people to remain hopeful. You’ll see a lot of Henry in her, and I think you’ll see a lot of her grandma, Snow, in her."

Henry Mills (Andrew J. West)

After leaving home to find his own story, Henry finds an epic romance with Cinderella, but eventually ends up cursed in Hyperion Heights. No longer a wide-eyed believer, Henry is now a cynical author-turned-Uber driver. "Henry had the heart of the true believer and when we meet him he no longer believes, and it’s up to his daughter — who he doesn’t even realize is his daughter — to help him find his belief again," Kitsis says. "He is a Uber driver. He wrote one book called Once Upon a Time that we’ll realize has all the stories from the first six seasons, but it did not do well, no one bought it, and he’s a guy that’s down on his luck looking for his place in the world."

Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle)

Details about the trio of returning stars are being kept under wraps, particularly when it comes to Rumplestiltskin — his Hyperion Heights counterpart has been described as "menacing," but we won't find out his name until the premiere. "We warned you season 1 he was a difficult man to love, but at the same time, he did find true love last year and chose love over power, so we don’t know what we’ll be looking at," Kitsis says coyly. "I would hope that the growth and everything he fought for wouldn’t be erased. But as we know, that’s the day-to-day fight." To note: Both Emilie de Ravin and Giles Matthey will return as Belle and their son Gideon, respectively, in the Rumple-centric fourth episode.

Regina (Lana Parrilla)

When Henry finds himself in trouble, he calls out to his family for help and Regina comes running. But that's also why she ends up in a cursed Hyperion Heights as a denim-clad bartender named Roni. "Roni is Regina with the wisdom of six years of the show," Horowitz says. "She is a tough character, she’s a bartender, she is sticking up for the little people in the neighborhood against the bully who we’ll realize is Lady Tremaine. At the same respect, all the experiences she’s had going from Evil Queen to Queen [have led to] a mature character."

Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue)

The one-armed pirate also comes running to help Henry, though we'll find a very different Hook in Hyperion Heights, a despondent cop named Rogers — no, his name is not Polly Rogers, as some internet rumors have indicated. "He is a cop with a very specific mission and a case that has haunted him that he has not solved, and that will be what we’ll be teasing out in the first couple episodes," Horowitz says.
