(Painter, etcher. His mother died in childbirth, was raised by his grandmother. At age 16, was an artist in SF with a studio on the Montgomery Block. Worked on the FAP during the 1930s. Lifelong resident of the Bay Area, he maintained a studio residence in Berkeley until his death. His work includes oils, etchings, and pencil and charcoal drawings of figure studies.)
