EdTech2 Typing Experience!
Typing Master is actually my partner when I’m bored. I am really fun on typing, that’s why when we had our activity, I felt the excitement to type again. I really find it very fun and stress relieving because aside from enhancing my typing skills, it also makes me relax. I am looking forward to the upcoming activies in our Educational Technology 2 class.

learning output
A. lesson title: lesson 5 preference of technology generation
B. summary of the lesson:
major differences of the teaching learning styles and strategies
> text vs. visual - move on text vs. move on images
> linear vs. hyper-media - they are using normal text vs. they are using text through access
> independent vs. social learning - self-learning vs. collaboration
> learning to do vs. learning to pass the test - move on their skills vs. move on aiming for diploma
> delayed rewards vs. instant gratification - rewards can be get after the school year vs. rewards can be get after the program or activity
> rote memory vs. fun learning - they are move on memorization vs. they are learning by doing type of students
C. learning:
the learning that i gained from today’s discussion is that now i know what are the major differences of the teaching learning styles and strategies before that they are using and now that what we are using. And i also learned that it is best to prefer the modern type than before because by using this modern styles and strategies, we will not be behind by the generations today.

Depth of Field
11th March 2018
plural noun
depths of field
(in photography) the distance between the nearest and the furthest objects giving a focused image.
The closer your subject is to the camera, the shallower your depth of field becomes. Therefore, moving further away from your subject will deepen your depth of field.
For our project, I really want to add shallow depth of field into our short film because of how cinematic and pretty it looks.
Tumblr media
This photo shows the difference between ‘Shallow’ and ‘Deep’ DOF. Shallow puts the subject in focus while Deep doesn't add any DOF and makes the shot look bland.
Whenever I watch films, I become so invested in the scene because of how intriguing the shots looks with DOF included in it.
Tumblr media
For instance, in this shot from 'Fathers & Daughters', Amanda Seyfried is the only subject in shot. This creates a serious feeling (by the expression on her face) and makes the audience aware that she is the focus of this shot; hence the choice of using depth of field.

Quote
Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is most important.” – Bill Gates “There can be infinite uses of the computer and of new age technology, but if teachers themselves are not able to bring it into the classroom and make it work, then it fails.” – Nancy Kassebaum “New technology is common, new thinking is rare.” – Sir Peter Blake “Teaching in the Internet age means we must teach tomorrow’s skills today.” – Jennifer Fleming “It is important to remember that educational software, like textbooks, is only one tool in the learning process. Neither can be a substitute for well-trained teachers, leadership, and parental involvement.” – Keith Krueger “Any teacher that can be replaced with a computer, deserves to be.” – David Thornburg Teachers need to integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum instead of viewing it as an add-on, an afterthought, or an event. – Heidi-Hayes Jacobs “We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.” – David Warlick “It is not about the technology; it’s about sharing knowledge and information, communicating efficiently, building learning communities and creating a culture of professionalism in schools. These are the key responsibilities of all educational leaders”. – Marion Ginapolis

Lesson 14: The Software as an Educational Resource
An evaluation by partner of a Web-based educational resource from the internet using own-created criteria.
Criteria:
Content ————————35%
Relevance———————30%
Resourcefulness————15%
Clarity—————————20%
                                                  100%
Finding educational websites for students that they actually enjoy using can be a challenge. Some websites claim to be educational but offer the same, repetitive games you can find anywhere. The sites below are different. We looked for websites that provide a range of educational offerings for students like us, while still being entertaining and fun with learning, and of course, age-appropriate. Content must be appropriate and accurate for the student/ person who is surfing a site to get important information related to their studies. Relevance of the information given must also connect to what it really implies to avoid wrong information. Resourcefulness of the site must also have a wide range of gathered information, data and references to have a solid explanation of the concept presented and to avoid dogmatism. And lastly, clarity must be heightened give clear, precise and right information of the concept being presented. To sum it up, our evaluation for the web-based educational resource comprises of four criteria stated above.
These are the Educational Resource that we recommend:
1. www.geogebra.com
This is free and dynamic math website for all levels of education. This site is very useful for students and teachers in measuring the interior angles of a polygons, in constructing and calculating the sum of its interior angles. http://www.geogebra.com/
 2. www.algebrahelp.com
This free website is a collection of lessons, calculators and worksheets created to assist students with their math algebra problems. There is an equation calculator which shows the right answer and the step-by-step process solution. It solves any problem from textbook, it gives all the steps, not just solutions – just like a teacher (24/7 math tutor), and this site will also give an explanation if you don’t understand the concept being presented.  www.algebrahelp.com/
 3. www.graphviewer.com
This is a calculator that you can download and install on your mobile phone. With GraphViewer you can plot equations using the build-in functions, calculate its derivate, show a table with functions critical points and even many more features.

Open Letter: Old Generation
its been a long time since our technology today change your traditional way of learning before, not only that but also the way of socializing people, way of transportation and soon. And we at first, it is so hard to adapt this technology in our daily lives, but time pass by many things change. There are a lot of benefits that we can get on the technology. And even you now old generation are trying to adapt the changes. Before, you always tells that technology will bring harm to us, and even become lazier. But we can’t deny the fact that we are now in the 21st century and everything in this world is changing. if we stick in your generation, then it is very hard for us to live in this world. because all things that we can see in our surroundings are been improve by the technologies. that’s the reason why we also change, because we don’t want to be behind by the changes of this generation. and also, you past generation,”try not to be ignorant and be involve in every changes”.
