Hey max out often ;), my view point is on the whole Spanish thing is, it's rude to say that other people can't learn Spanish aside from the people who speak it in south America and spain, and possibly other countries idk, also I think it's rude just to generalize you as Latino, that's like saying all Asians have small eyes. And also on the Spanish speaking thing, in America you will get way more job options if you speak spanish, so I wonder why people are so offended by it.

People are offended on other people’s behalf because they think it’s the right thing to do. I’m willing to bet that the anon who was offended was NOT latin american, and was most likely white. I don’t know for sure, but it’s likely. They think white people speaking Spanish is cultural appropriation.

Lemme tell you a little something about the Spanish language under the cut:

And believe it or not, not all Caucasians (a term often used to refer to white people) look like pasty fucking ghosts. Mediterranids (aka the Mediterranean race) is a sub-race of Caucasian. They have a prevalence of dark hair and eye colors, and most commonly have olive-complexion, but also have pink to reddish to light or dark brown skin tones. Regardless, on their home continent, they are still considered “white” just like the pale skinned Nordics in Europe. Spanish comes from white people to begin with.

Now let’s focus on Argentina, where Ask Drunk Chara takes place, and where Hawker is from. Let’s talk about Hawker: she has a kind of tan/olive skin tone. She has ancestry mostly from Spain and Italy, with a possible bit of French and a little bit of Native in her. So, as you can tell, she’s mostly from Mediterraneans. So that would explain her skin tone. Yet she has a paler, red-headed aunt. How does all of this come into play?

Hm, just like Bottles. Who’da thunk it? White people from South America speak Spanish. I’m about to blow the minds of every SJW here: LATINX IS NOT A RACE. If you think Latinx is a race, you’re basing it off of old statistics from the U.S. Government back when they were racist as shit regardless of who was in office (they didn’t know any better back then) but times have CHANGED and we know that scientifically Latinx isn’t a race. Grouping a diverse range of people into a single category? That’s pretty fucking racist if you ask me, just like edriley said here, only they were nice about it, just calling it rude.
