Bandai Japan Announces Tamagotchi Original Japan Edition Part 2

Part 1 were those beautiful Kaga Yuzen Tamagotchi Original shells, and now part 2 is here! Part 2 consists of two Maneki Neko (a common Japanese beckoning cat figurine believed to bring good luck tot he owner),

Edo Kimekomi (traditional Japanese craft of making small, finely crafted wooden dolls dressed in Japanese silk textiles) doll.

Available in both Mametchi (P1) which has a purple sparkly shell with Japanese flowers and graphics surrounding the screen and Maneki Neko Mametchi at the top along with pink buttons! Mimitchi is also available (P2), featuring a red sparkly shell with Japanese flowers and graphics surrounding the screen, and Maneki Neko Mimitchi at the top along with blue buttons.

These shells are exclusive to Japan, and will be available January 25th, 2025 with preorders open on Thursday, December 12th, 2024 on Amazon and Rakuten Japan.

Tamagotchi Original Japan Edition Part 2 Shells on Display at Bandai Namco Cross Store

If you want to take a closer look at the new Tamagotchi Original Japan Edition Part 2 shells, well then head to your nearest Bandai Namco Cross store in Japan! These shells aren’t set to be released until January 25th, 2025, but you can still see how beautiful they are in person behind glass!

The pictures above are from the Ikebukuro Bandai Namco Cross store. Both shells look incredible! We also noticed that the shell is held in place inside the box with white plastic, and not clear plastic like the other models.
