I can imagine that Katherine Chipping from Goodbye, Mr. Chips would be the best of friends with Edith Hunter from The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. Two feisty English suffragettes doing their own thing while holding down a household. Actually a lot of Goodbye, Mr. Chips reminds me of Life and Death of Colonel Blimp... but I like Powell and Pressburger’s film much more than this Sam Wood 1939 tale.
