my own interpretation and version of natal chart making of Sergei Dragunov
This may be possibly fitting most of his personality based in his natal chart with my own basic interpretation.
As for his birthplace, I can possibly choose either Saint Petersburg or Yekaterinburg..... I rather choose Yekaterinburg for its diverse yet unique mark of his birthplace being a Russian man...
Then back to his natal chart, it's quite obvious he has a lot of 1st house stellium even with his home at Saturn Capricorn yet a fall sign in the first house .. so in other words, his looks can tell it's prominent physical appearance also attributed as well as his Capricorn Rising... Either win or lose trait plus with his MC in Scorpio, which does make sense to him as a fearsome soldier who worked in the clandestine missions ... 10th house is a career house yet falls to his Scorpio so.. obviously no need to know why.. his Pluto was in the 9th house alongside with MC... Either his faith, travel outside the country (which could be thanks to his military life and mission) and morals as a soldier or his own philosophical insight does have a contribution of his catharsis as a human.
As for his emotionality, he may be sensitive yet not as a watery sensitivity like the moon in water signs or even Scorpio ... He's having a moon in Taurus 3rd house, could possibly have a close bond with his siblings or at least one of his very close friends.... He's at least dependable and sensual yet .. very reserved person. I can see him and he finds the solace from his writing or even commute with trains since trains are one of his favorite thing for his pastime hobbies after tanks, as have seen in his t8 epilogue (3rd house represents also thinking and communication, or even short travels or travel within the country).
His brute nature of fighting identify thru his Mars trine Saturn earth. Mars in 4th (in his IC placement) represents his Motherland not just family, and overall security in terms of emotions and home. Could possibly he's a family oriented man yet very dominant in terms of initiative actions. Since it was in Taurus, he's patient and knows what he's doing, whether how to preserve his value and ethics/morals or his words and actions to protect his homeland from unnecessary chaos. Noted 4th house also associated with the government work, so an obvious thing for him is he's quite honorable and loyal to his duties. Since his Mars is in retrograde station, there's a possibility that he's been pressured by his own morals and patriotism that he must work out within himself , and yet his brute force of fighting intensifies thanks to his inner directed energy of his Rx mars.
Another thing trined his Mars is in Saturn 1st house could be one of the difficult house aspect for Capricorn placement and yet his Saturn is at home of his sun sign so his self image from his intimidating yet self-controlled power in him plus with scars can identify himself as he is. Words and Actions is his own honorable image.
* 1st house is at home in Mars in Aries while Capricorn is at home in 10th Saturn represents authority, both have tension each other between impulsivity and structure and authority.

Max Verstappen's career
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here you have the little post about Max's career like I promise. For this one we are kind of doing a test, it's a preposition my lovely @babssionate did and I am thinking about it for a while so let's see how it works.
So you have the 5 pages of Max's career on the top, without comments like I always did. Now I am taking some info I want to talk about and so I can do it. Let me know what you think !
So let's start with the first one :
Tumblr media
The real interesting thing here is that Max only made a year in single-seater juniors, he never drove in the F2 championship for example. And he went from karting to F3 immediately, not droving in Formula Renault or similar categories.
Max was karting until 2013, it was the year he won the World KZ Championship. That winter he tested various cars, one of them being the F3 car and decided to drive in that category. He didn't win it but he came 3rd, which isn't bad at all. The big surprise comes here, when Red Bull decides to put him in an F1 car at 17 years old, the youngest F1 driver ever.
It could have been a disaster, with only one year in single-seater it was a risky move that most of the drivers couldn't take as normally they need time to learn and to progress. However, Max didn't let anyone indifferent with his drive style (I won't talk about it as I believe @race-week would do it wayyyy better so nicely ask her if she can if she hasn't done it yet)
You can see his precocity on the team he needed to make his way from Torro Roso to Red Bull, help a little bit by Daniil but it's still insane, especially looking at his results and the fact he won his first race with Red Bull but you all know that story.
Another very interesting thing in Max's career is his loyalty to Red Bull and how he always stays with them, 100% of his F1 career has been made with a Red Bull team.
Tumblr media
Going now to the stats one ! Let be honest, If you don't follow F1, and you hear something about this Max Verstappen guy and go check his stats, you will think he isn't that good. Of course these stats don't include the 2021 season as it still going and I don't know when I will post this when I do it.
But the truth is, 119 starts over 6 seasons and only 10 wins. However what I highlighted here is something I found very interesting, the difference between the wins and the podiums. Looking at it you can just think he doesn't have what it takes to win, however knowing the sport it's completely normal.
Until now, Max was always in a car that wasn't competitive to win championships, a car that was good in some circuit like Brazil or Austria, but didn't make the difference during all championship.
Another interesting way of looking at it is the podiums, because if we say Max's car wasn't perfect and good enough to win, that means a car was, in this case, Mercedes, they were then, theoretically 1-2, one spot left in the podium, however, Max has a teammate that has the same car as him. So the 42 podiums show how dominant he has been on the team. Of course, this isn't math, is a sport, and Mercedes aren't always on the podium 1-2, but it's stats over 100 races with 42 podiums, so at some podium, the tendency is confirmed when he has 35% of podiums.
There is two more very interesting points on this page, first, something I didn't highlight but I should have, is the point Max has in F1, 1162 from 2015 to 2020, 38% of what he could have (fastest point included since 2019), but one even more important point that isn't here, it that Max very rarely finished outside the points. When he doesn't get points is mostly because he didn't show the checkered flag, interesting no ?
The last one is the number of pole positions, even if Max never had the fastest car on the grid, qualifying was not his biggest strength, he is way better during the race, overtaking than doing a perfect lap. (But again, it's about his driving style).
Tumblr media
Moving now to the Championship tracker, the progression from Torro Roso to Red Bull is absolutely insane, but I already spoke about it here. However, I highlighted the positions he finished during his F1 career and how consistent he has been through the years, here again, at least for 2019 and 2020, the theory of the Mercedes is true again.
Tumblr media
The last one, and what I believe, one of the most intresting ones. I obviously put a spotlight on the pole position by year, Max had to wait until 2018 for his first pole position, for the record, from 2016 to 2018, Red Bull only had 1 pole position in Monaco 2016.
Now, my favorite part, the number of podiums, for the info, the 2018 and 2019 calendar had 21 races and the 2020 calendar had 17 races.
Knowing that, it means Max was able to score 52,38% of the available podiums in 2018, 47,62% in 2019 and more importantly 64% in 2020. Those numbers are absolutely insane for a driver that wasn't battle for the championship win or wasn't in a car that won the championship constructors'.
Coming to the end of this post, I think we can all agree Max has a great talent, especially look at his career and how he arrived in F1 and stay, doing well and been consistent.
I wanted to add a little note to something that isn't in the graphs but I believe is important to know and remember. When Max arrived in F1, he was involved in a couple of accidents, and that image stayed in the minds of a lot of people, I think is fair to remember Max has progressed and improved a lot since his F1 debut, and he is nearly never involved in an accident, especially been the guilty one. Most of his DNF have been due to engine and mechanics problems. Remember here that Max has only 2 penalty points on his superlicence. (I wrote this a week before Monza, I just edited the 2 that was a 0 before, I decided to let this part as I believe Max improved a lot since he joined F1 and I like to highlight that)
I really hope you enjoy this post, I wanted to thank @babssionate for the idea and remembering her how amazing she is !
I mentioned a sort of post @race-week does about the driving style, I don't know she already did it with Max, if she hasn't you can always ask but please, I beg you, be nice to this sweetheart, ask nicely and remember she has other things to do !
The next one on the list is Sergio ! Hope he will come soon, probably after the next race !
If you have some time please check the links below
If you want to talk about Max' career and this post, send me an ask (anon or not)

I'm trying to create an original set of Toa for fun. I definitely feel like I'm missing that special je-ne-sais-quoi with some of the masks, so they're definitely going to take a while to get right. I think the masks of Bionicle have some of the most interesting and unique designs, and I want to get at least somewhere close to that. Definitely, designing for the sake of drawing instead of a toy is relieving. Trying to draw/redesign the official designs is getting way too annoying. The Water, Metal (because "Earth" wasn't different enough from "Stone") and to a lesser extent Stone and Air masks need some major work, even if they're not "bad" per se. I'm obviously going to design the Ice Toa exactly to my personal tastes because they've always been my favorite of the six. I also wanted to give them some light pieces of clothing because honestly I think a good outfit can always benefit a design, no matter what. You just need to balance them accordingly. I'm also going to add a bit more "bio" to the designs than the toys often muster, although obviously keeping the most interesting kinds of robotic parts.
The idea is that they're in space now, because I like space and they haven't really "been" there yet. Their "island" is an asteroid with the main 6 biomes that was flung from their planet. They each have a special orb on their masks (function to be determined, just thought it'd look cool) and maneuver the lower gravity with variations of a jetpack/wings, and make things easier with a grappling hook attached to their main weapon. The orbs are placed relevant to their skills/personalities: Ice obviously has the orb in their eye for keen sight (as usual), Fire has it in the center of their forehead because it's very central, Air on the top of their head because of their thoughtful witty jokes, Metal right on their nose because it could shield them, Water on the side of their mouth because it's like the air supply of an air tank, and Stone having it on their mouth because of their loud, bombastic-ness.
No names or possible story yet, mostly because I just want to get the look of things going first, but I think it's looking neat enough. I was basically guaranteed to try and design my own Toa eventually, since Bionicle is literally my most favorite thing ever, and character design is my most favorite nonspecific thing ever.

[A link to a video is sent out to every mobile device. The number of the sender is untraceable.]
The camera blinks on, revealing a man with shaggy blue-ish gray hair. His face is obscured by an ominous looking hand that masks all of his features---save for one of his blood red eyes. It’s obvious that the camera is a handheld of some sort, as the video appears to be shaky and an excited, feminine voice can be heard giggling in the background.
It’s not difficult to guess who they are.
“This is a message for the ignorantly blind citizens of the world,” Shigaraki begins with a grand gesture. “The League of Villains would like to present you all with a little… gift.”
[[T/W: blood, torture, violence]]
The video quickly shifts to something pre-recorded: clips of security footage, it seems, all dated November 9, 2018 in the early morning. None of them have any sound, but perhaps their silent nature simply enhances the tension of the scenes.
A pale boy, clinging to life as the blood drains out of his body, gaping gashes visible on his chest where the tubes are inserted.
Another---this time from a rather… infamous family---drowning in his own bed; water rushing from the ceiling as he shouts, and screams, and chokes.
A silver-haired boy slumped over, unconscious: a stab wound to his back as flood trickles from his body and into a tube.
It cuts back now to a student rushing through the halls, tears streaming down his face as his chest heaves with strenuous effort. He’s already appeared in the footage before, and he’ll likely appear again---but the same way he always does: wildly, desperately clinging to whatever crumbling semblance of hope he has left.
Now, an image of two people: one, appearing to be the silver-haired boy from before, and the other a blond with glassy eyes that seem resigned to his fate. The first boy grabs the blond by the hair and bashes his head into the wall, over and over until blood splatters against the surface and his body slumps over. And then another tube appears.
A girl this time, screaming and crying in her bed as blood trickles, then showers, then pours over her. The blood soaks her white bedsheets and clings to her skin---all while her silent lips remain parted with desperation.
A blindfolded, gagged figure stars in the next clip, this one obviously shorter than the rest. It’s clear that he’s been drugged as his body twists and convulses in its chains, but how this came to be is notably absent.
Two boys bound together in a room, movements slow and hindered. This is the only piece of footage that has clearly been edited: one moment the two are waking up, and then they’re looking at each other, and then they throw themselves at one another in pure lust---then the room is ablaze and one boy is holding the other in a corner. There’s something in his eyes that can’t quite be deciphered---determination? hopelessness?---as he cradles the other, fire quickly consuming the room.
And then a more familiar face---the young pride of one of Heroism’s oldest families---screaming in agony as a knife drags its point through his calves, slicing away at his flesh before ending with him slowly bleeding out.
Throughout all of this, shorter segments of students frantically running through the halls, tears still streaking down their faces, are interspersed.
Not one clip showcases any of the terrified individuals being saved.
It’s a barely-edited montage of sorts---the length of each clip is slow, tumultuous. There are obvious moments of nothing but screaming and running and crying that could have clearly been removed while still serving the video producer’s intended purpose, but it’s not. It’s all there, out in the open: every drop of blood, every wasted tear, every scream… every minute, every second of the tortuous attack on U.A. from months past is displayed right there, for the world to see.
Every. Little. Bit of it.
And then the video abruptly switches to Shigaraki’s face once more, the giggling behind the camera even more fervent than before. “On November 3rd, the League of Villains infiltrated U.A. and infected each and every individual with a bout of quirklessness.” He breaks out into a sudden laugh. “All of this happened months ago and the shitty media has yet to put any of it together---all you’ve apparently figured out is what All Might’s told you, huh? That’s pathetic, really, are you all really that incompetent?”
The one eye that’s visible now looks absolutely wild with delight. “What were you all waiting for? Logs? From some mystery man who can’t seem to do anything big without taking it from others he had allied himself with?”
Shigaraki bursts into laughter at the thought of it, head thrown back in absolute glee as he gives his audience something to think about. And then, suddenly, all traces of amusement vanish as he takes on a frigid aura once more.
“The league takes treachery very seriously… isn’t that right… Hawks?”
The video cuts to another camera in another room. There are two people visible in this one: a green-haired man standing over another, who’s tied down to a chair.
“Isn’t it funny, Hawks?” Deku coos to him lovingly---despite the circumstances he’s in. “For a long time, I’ve been waiting for this. And finally—here you are.” Deku ogles him openly. Tied to a chair so tightly that the ropes might even give him marks. He hopes they do.
The video cuts to another camera in another room. There are two people visible in this one: a green-haired man standing over another, who’s tied down to a chair.
He loves marks.
“So...here’s how this is gonna work. You’re gonna say what I want you to say, mmkay? You’re gonna do what I want you to do. It might take a little while- and that’s okay.  Just as long as we get the  e n d  result~!” Chuckling excitedly, he brings a knife up to the light, grin as wide as can be.
“This is one of my favorite toys...I’m so HAPPY! Heheheh. Ahahahahhh.... How are you feeling, Birdy? ❤”
Hawks is feeling, alright. He tries to not move. Every shift against the restraints pull and pinch, rubbing him raw where it's against bare skin, bruising anything it holds too tight, which happens to be everything.
He hated the bruises that came from this shit. He hated this shit. Dekus voice grated on his nerves. But he was here to put on a show, wasn't he? He glared up at Deku, hoping his disgust came off well enough. His wings shifted, trying to get more comfortable. It only served in making them actually hurt-and he held back a choke. This was intentional. Fuck these guys. "Oh, I'm just wonderful." He snaps. His eyes follow Dekus knife. Doesn't seem like the nicest thing to have around him when he's totally immobile. "I love this. Do it every Sunday. It's great."
Deku blushes furiously, staring at him. That look of disgust he gets only makes it worse. “You really hate me, huh? For what I did to Monoma, right? I only made him stronger. Were you wishing I chose you instead?” He sighs lightly, fingering his knife idly before taking a step. “Maybe someday...!”
Hawks clenches his teeth. He holds the glare, following every move Deku made. "No." He snaps.
"Fuck no. If you touch me with any of that shit I'll fucking tear you apart," This would be embarrassing later.
He's tense while he waits for Deku to use the knife on him somehow, hating every second where nothing was happening. He just wanted it to be over with.
A laugh erupts from Deku, who is now stepping right up to Hawks’ face.
“Oh, I’d love that. But- ah...I’m getting distracted.”
Gently, he runs a finger up Hawks’ neck, looking at his veins in awe.
“We need you to tell us how much you really hate that Mystery guy. You know you do, deep down...”
"I'm sure you-would-" He jerks away from Deku, a little harsher than he meant, only winding up with his bindings digging into him further and making him drop his head with a pained hiss. It's disgusting. He wants Dekus hands off him. When he's prompted to speak more he just hums, trying to give a pained smile to himself. He doesn't look back up at the other. Good or bad, he didn't want to say shit. "Is that really all you want."
“I want so much more....but it’s not exactly about me today.  I’m just following...orders.”
Slowly, he glides his knife up the other’s arm, pressing it jusssst hard enough to break skin....but not terribly hard.
He leans in, speaking lowly in the other’s ear; voice venomous.
“I know you want this to be over soon- I know how you are. But I intend to drag this out as long as possible. I think he wants me to, too.”
His eyes flick to the window in the room; it’s hard to make out anyone standing there, but a faint, red light can be seen shining through.
“I think... they all want me to drag it out. I think...they’re all dying to see you bleed tonight.”
As the knife gently splits skin Hawks squirms, swearing quietly. It hurts in a way that makes his chest flutter. At least he isn't crying. Or screaming. Or being a bitch at any of the pain. That's one good thing about him. He didn't hate being hurt. He just hated Deku. Hawks looks up at the window as Deku mentions it. He.. almost knew what was going on. They were recording him, and wanted to do shit with him-get him to talk about Mystery, apparently-and he could comply or he could blow his chance with this completely.
This was how he was getting completely back into the Leagues favour. It was a shame he was shit at just sitting and taking things.
"Then make me bleed."  He dared, "If you want to so much then do it."
The boy’s eyes shoot open and there’s a sudden air of unpredictable rage that he gets- the way a dog looks while it sinks its teeth into flesh. He STABS the knife into the other’s thigh with no remorse, watching him as his expression fades to emotionless.
“Ahhh...you like stuff like this, don’t you? Being treated like this.”
Without any regard to personal space and knowing how much Hawks will hate it, Deku slides into his lap, straddling him with ease.
The knife is still lodged in his thigh. “I feel like-“ He toys with the handle of the knife, poking and prodding it. “-You like feeling like you’re being punished, yeah? Maybe you feel like it evens out all your wrongs. Makes it...” He twists the knife. “Even.”
The noise Hawks makes is a combination of a scream and a moan. His eyes snap up to Deku for just a moment before his head rolls back. He's breathless and tears are in his eyes now, barely being held back by gravity.
With Deku so comfortably in his lap he felt sick. Sick and satisfied in a way he never did unless something so violent was happening to him.
Deku was always so determined to make him look absolutely pathetic, wasn't he.
Every shift made him whimper, even if he was trying so damn hard to stop it.
"Fuck o-AH" He's cut off by the twist of the knife, forcing tears out and making him strain harder while he tried to breathe in and just ended up sobbing. Every noise he made was a combination of immense pain and pleasure, giving away how much he did enjoy it-perhaps not entirely for the reasons Deku suspected, but it was enjoyment nonetheless.
The sound sends shivers through his body in a way that’s always made Deku feel alive. His smile returns, staring at him like this made him the most amazing person in the world.
“Ahah...! That was heavenly....! You’re an angel, for that.”
Taking the knife out of his thigh, he examines it a moment before licking the blade- small noise of satisfaction trickling from him. “Mystery... I still don’t know how I feel about him...” He pricks the other’s arms as he speaks- as if whittling. Or creating something. Blood trickles down, line by line, with each little cut. It’s fun to watch. “On one hand....he’s infuriating. On the other hand, it’s....” And another STAB- lodging the knife in his left shoulder this time. Deku kisses his neck. He truly is...content like this. “...I guess it doesn’t matter.”"...He's pathetic.." Hawks murmurs out through a strained voice. The stab into his shoulder made him choke and cry out again. All the little cuts were sweet torture, making him whine and cry and gasp. It's barely enough to distract him from Deku. His lips. His oddly gentle touch coupled with the knife in his shoulder. He's breathing heavy when he starts speaking again, "Pathetic. Disgusting. ... Cruel." He wanted to laugh. "More sadistic than you, probably. Goes a little far. Did I ever talk about what happened?" He was trying so hard to keep his voice steady. His eyes were closed, like he didn't want to face the fact that he was really saying this to anyone. Just another case of him talking to himself. "..I hated it. I hate them. I hate them." The malice in his voice was more real than even he had thought. This is what they wanted, right? Hawks to denounce Mystery. Maybe he needed it too.
Softly, Deku runs his fingers through the other’s hair, letting his knife sit in the other’s shoulder. “You didn’t, but feel free to now. This is your time to vent, after all.* Deku has a microphone attached to the other’s chest- capturing every word, every gasp, every cry. No matter how soft. “Tell me more. Tell me more about what he did.”
Hawks leaned his head ever so slightly into the hand. He made another noise at Deku flicking the knife. He knit his eyebrows together, conflicted.
He flicks the knife gently, taking some of the other’s blood on his finger and using it to trace the outline of his collarbone with red.
".... I trusted him." He was whispering. Maybe if he kept it low they wouldn't hear the shame coming through. "And like the idiot he is he went overboard and ffff-FUCKED it all up. Hours of torture isn't exactly a permanent way to keep someone." He took a deep breath, "Attached to you, to keep someone around, thank fucking god Sstain," The name burnt on his tongue, "Got me out before-before-b-" He shook his head. "Anything. Else."
Hawks opened his eyes, finally. He was crying again. It wasn't violent, like when he'd been stabbed.
"He wanted to make me stronger, they said I was-what-what was it that they wrote?-I'm special I'm perfect, bullshit, fucking bullshit if you're trying to use somebody to have more fun getting off don't make lies that are so damn easy to see through, and he just expects everything to fall in his fucking lap, like he's god, like he's better, even though he doesn't have shit except the element of surprise-" He cut himself off before he got any louder, meeting Deku’s eyes.
While he’s talking, Deku’s touch is gentle. Soothing, in an odd way. ... For a moment, his brows furrow. There’s... something in Deku’s eyes, that doesn’t seem like it belongs there. It makes him seem...like a different person, almost. “That’s...awful.”
He stares into the other’s eyes for a moment- but it doesn’t seem like he’s staring at him.
...If that makes sense. Ahah. “We can get back at him, you know. We will get back at him. We’ll make him suffer, bleed... ...Ahah. You want that, don’t you? To put him in his place. To remind him that he’s not a god, that he can still be knocked down.”
Gingerly, he kisses the other’s neck, before taking his knife out of his shoulder and wrapping his arms around him- letting the blood pour down, soak him as well. “You want that more than anything right now.”
Hawks' breath catches.
He doesn't know what it is. Something about how Deku says awful. How he looks at Hawks, different, and real, so much of a departure from the disgustingly sweet looks he has when catching his prey, and stabbing a knife into its thigh, it's shoulder.
Something about that makes his eyes widen, and continues to make tears spill, and makes him shake in the restraints. This isn't the good kind of hurting. Hawks looks at Deku. Watches him while he talks. He looks lost while Deku talks. A little bit... scared. Not scared of Deku. He shudders when the knife is out of him, and Deku's wrapped around him. The way blood feels running down his body right now makes him feel nothing but sick. "I do." It comes out very small. He says it again. Louder. "I... do."
He sighs a moment, clutching onto the other tightly. He sees the reflection of the red light in the window and leans back. For a moment, he almost doesn’t want to turn back. One last kiss to the base of his neck before a slow chuckle seeps out of his throat. “Ahahah...good. I knew you’d see reason. Knew you were smart.... ahahah....shhh...shh... it’ll be okay, now.”
Standing, he turns and faces the camera- voice loud. “There you have it, Myst-! From the one and only!
I hope now you remember ... ...just how truly alone you are! Ahaha! Back to you, Shiggy!”
When the video switches back to Shigaraki, he’s absolutely losing it. His head is thrown back in absolute delight, joyous, hysterical laughter harmonizing with the intense, manic, frenzied laughter of the woman he’s with. The footage is blurry as the screen shakes---it’s obvious that the person operating the camera could care less about keeping it stable.
It takes a long time for either of them to calm down. But when they do, Shigaraki steps towards the camera so that only his face is visible within the frame. Giggling can still be heard in the background.
He removes the hand masking his features to reveal an unnaturally large, absolutely grotesque smile to the camera.
“This is both a reminder and a warning: your precious sense of peace was shaken once and it will be shaken again---and this time by those who aren’t afraid to show their faces.”

My favorite comics of 2017
Keeping with my new tradition of posting this list super late, here, on the last day of 2018, is my best comics of 2017 list. I can offer excuses -- my wife and I remodeled our house and welcomed our first child into the world this year, and I’m also unfailingly lazy -- but 2017 was also a killer year for comics, making this a bit larger of an undertaking than usual. Both Koyama Press and co-publishers Retrofit Comics and Big Planet Comics had absolutely stacked lineups. You’ll see them listed as publisher for many entries below.
I always struggle with how to order this list. I got serious about organizing my comics collection in 2018, and am running into the same problem. There, I’m thinking of dividing it into two -- a single-author section organized by author name (which ends up being mostly minicomics and graphic novels), and a multiple-author section organized by title (which ends up being mostly traditional-sized comics). Here, I’m essentially doing that same thing, but mixing them together; some entries are by title, and some author name.
Comics I especially enjoyed are marked with an *.
Allison, Matthew; Cankor: Calamity of Challenge #2 and #3 (self-published).
Berserker 1, edited by edited by Tom Oldham and Jamie Sutcliffe (Breakdown Press). There was a lot of anticipation and very specific expectations placed on this book ahead of its release, but no one seemed to walk away from the finished product satisfied. But it’s got a killer cover, great production design, and strips by some of the best cartoonists going. I hope Breakdown does another one.
* Booth, Tara; How to be Alive (Retrofit Comics & Big Planet Comics). One of the funniest books I’ve ever read. Booth’s drawings are a riot to look at, that the gags are also great is pure gravy. About as big as crossover hits get in my house. (I.e., my wife also loved it.)
Cardini, William; Tales From the Hyperverse (Retrofit Comics and Big Planet Comics). Cardini’s sci-fi world is made bigger and more engaging by the rapid-fire pace of this short story collection. His wild experimentation with color is always an inspiration.
Corben, Richard; Shadows on the Grave #1 - #8 (Dark Horse Comics). Not my favorite of Corben’s late-period Dark Horse horror books, but there’s plenty to enjoy. I was stunned by the sheer efficiency of the storytelling -- there are entire stories told with a single image and a few word balloons. A lot of these books sport great covers, issue #1 here, seen at the link for this entry, is one of the best.
Darrow, Geoff; The Shaolin Cowboy: Who’ll Stop the Reign? #1 - #4 with Dave Stewart (Dark Horse Comics). I was so bowled over by the experience of buying Shemp Buffet monthly that I initially scoffed at Cowboy’s return to more traditional narrative, but it turned out to be no less wild and no loss at all.
Davis, Eleanor; Libby’s Dad (Retrofit Comics & Big Planet Comics) and You & a Bike & a Road (Koyama Press). You & a Bike & a Road does something that’s often attempted and rarely successful -- it beats the audience down so it can then lift them up higher. Its success is due in no small part from its origin as a real-life journal. The visceral and emotional pain Davis feels on her journey is sincerely felt, and the lack of cynicism the storytelling choices are made with allow the reader to feel it whole cloth. And listen; it certainly doesn’t hurt that Davis is an amazing narrative storyteller besides -- Libby’s Dad is no less affecting.
DeForge, Michael; mini kuš! #43 'Meat Locker' (kuš!). I sleep on DeForge. I take him for granted. I feel like I’m not the only one? I see some excitement when his books come out, but no discussion. Blame it on the high volume and opaque nature of his work, the dearth of comics reviewers, and me, obviously. Also obviously, whenever something of his does find its way to my hands, I’m never sorry.
Estrada, Inés; Alienation #3 - #6 (self-published). The bundled version of this series, seen at the link for this entry, has the coolest book packaging I’ve ever seen in my life.
Expansion by Matt Sheean and Malachi Ward (AdHouse Books). I didn’t like this nearly as much as this same team’s previous Ancestor (due no doubt to its earlier and improvised creation), but damn, what a cover.
* Forsman, Chuck; Slasher #1 - #4 (Floating World Comics). I’d say the majority of my interest in Forsman’s work is in seeing how he presents his it and steers his career -- he’s among the best there is at that. Slasher is his first work I strongly connected with. It digs deep and gets wilder and wilder.
Ferrick, Margot; Yours (2dcloud). I’m a simpleton, so I was surprised at how deeply I was able to be moved by something this abstract. As always, grabbing 2dcloud’s whole line on Kickstarter expands my horizons and makes me a better reader.
Foster-Dimino, Sophia; Sex Fantasy (Koyama Press). I’ve actually only read the minis of this. This collection has the one I’m missing, plus some new material, but I love Sex Fantasy. It’s like a perpetual motion machine for thought -- you can just think about it forever.
Fricas, Katie; Art Fan (self-published). One of those things you dream of happening at a show -- picked this up at MICE not knowing anything about it, and was delighted by the artwork and knocked out by the “reviews of trippy art events”; particularly the first, about Duke Riley’s Fly by Night.
* Friebert, Noel; WEIRD6 (self-published), SPINE: I’ll Still Watch (Bred Press), Old Ground (Koyama Press). Sometimes when I have a fever, I can’t break loose of a single, circular thought -- I have the same thought over and over, only to realize once the fever’s broken that it was barely coherent. Friebert’s newer, decompressed work is like that. You turn page after page, and nothing happens. It’s the same characters still doing and saying the same things, again and again. You turn the pages faster and faster, almost in a panic, hoping to break the cycle and resolve the unease before you. But its no use.
* gg; I’m Not Here (Koyama Press), Valley (kuš!). I’m Not Here is one of a few books I recommended to people who were enjoying season 3 of Twin Peaks at the time. It doesn’t convey information so much as emotion, and rewards as much thought as you want to put into it.
* Hankiewicz, John; Education (Fantagraphics Books). I loved this so much I only read a few pages a night to make it last. Michael DeForge once called Noel Freibert an “astronaut” -- that applies to Hankiewicz also. No one’s ever done anything like this before, and if we didn’t have Hankiewicz I don’t think anyone ever would. Bringing poetry and modern dance (!!) into the language of comics, this was another book I recommended to watchers of season 3 of Twin Peaks -- you don’t understand the story by connecting facts, you understand it by connecting emotions.
* Hanselmann, Simon; Portrait, XMP-165 (self-published). XMP-165 was the first big payoff of the longform nature of Megg and Mogg, and it destroyed me. Also released this year was Doujinshi, Cold Cube Press’ gorgeous re-release of a Japanese Megg and Mogg fan comic.
Harkam, Sammy; Crickets #6 (The Commonwealth Comics Company). People talk about how good this book is, and I agree, but I’m not sure I could tell you why.
Haven, Eric; Vague Tales (Fantagraphics Books).
Hernandez, Gilbert and Jaime ; Love & Rockets Vol. IV #2, #3 (Fantagraphics). I made the terrible error after Love Bunglers to trade wait Locas, and for whatever reason they haven’t released one since. So I was way behind when this started coming out, but I bought and read it anyway. I initially found the story to be light, but I eventually realized I had a free ComiXology trial and caught up. It’s as great as ever.
Ito, Junji; Dissolving Classroom (Vertical, Inc.), Shiver: Junji Ito Selected Stories, and Tomie: Complete Deluxe Edition (Viz Media). Tomie may have come out in 2016 actually? I describe it to people as being about a beautiful woman who stands around until some total lech of a man inevitably murders her, then she comes back and annihilates him in the most unpleasant manner possible. Repeat ad infinitum. I don’t think the text 100% supports my reading, but that’s what it means to me.
Landry, Tyler; Shit and Piss (Retrofit Comics). The ephemeral, disjointed nature the single issue format served this story better, but it’s still extremely rad.
Loup, Celine; The Man Who Came Down the Attic Stairs (self-published).
Marcus, Ben; Crisis Zone 3rd Edition (Bred Press).
Mignolaverse and John Arcudi; Dead Inside #3 by Arcudi, Toni Fejzula, and Andre May, Lobster Johnson: The Pirate’s Ghost #1 - #3 by Arcudi and Tonci Zonjic, Hellboy: Into the Silent Sea by Gary Gianni, Mike Mignola, and Dave Stewart (Dark Horse Comics). Ignoring a few years in college when I was a lapsed comics reader, I’ve bought every Mignolaverse comic since I was about 13. That loyalty has slowly eroded over the last half decade about. I’m not alone in thinking the Arcudi-Davis run is one of the greatest of all time, and that the books started to go downhill after Guy Davis left. Beyond the departure of Davis, there are a few reasons for that, in my view.
First was the decision soon after to expand the line’s offerings. Doubling the line’s output and bringing in (inevitably) inferior creative teams was a no-win proposition for readers. Who wants more of something not as good?
Second, I think that Arcudi, a great writer, has shifted his focus from tightly-plotted five issue arcs to series-spanning character arcs. While I’m guessing this reads great in big chunks, it doesn’t spread out month to month, some months out of the year. I’m looking forward to a big re-read of everything after B.P.R.D. wraps in a few months, to see if this theory holds. Lobster Johnson: The Pirate’s Ghost came close to standing on its own, but was still rife with moments that I can only assume were big character payoffs because I didn’t remember enough to know. (Especially cool covers by Zonjic on these issues.) However, the non-Mignolaverse title Dead Inside offered the type of visceral, plot-based payoff his B.P.R.D. run with Davis hooked me with. I hadn’t been this thrilled by an Arcudi book since Killing Ground.
But third, and worst of all, has been the addition of writer Chris Roberson, whose books read like updates to the Mignolaverse Wiki. (The Visitor: How and Why He Stayed was okay, but pretty much solely due to Paul Grist’s fun art and layouts.)
I’m staying aboard the main B.P.R.D. book as it races to the finish line, and will continue to buy anything Arcudi writes, which seems to be mostly these Lobster Johnson comics. (Although even that’s looking increasingly, and sadly, unlikely to continue: https://twitter.com/ArcudiJohn/status/1075086925436874753) And I’ll certainly buy any more of these very sporadically-released Hellboy OGNs, like Into the Silent Sea, they decide to release -- the only real non-Mignola drawn Hellboy books anymore.
* Milburn, Lane; CORRIDORS (self-published). Sits comfortably next to Inflated Head Zone by Zach Hazard Vaupen, one of my favorite comics. They both forsake straightforward narrative in favor of theme-driven emotional impressionism, and do it with horror. This is catnip to me, and something I aspire to (although I’m far too boring to achieve it).
* Mirror Mirror II, edited by Sean T. Collins and Julia Gfrörer (2dcloud).
Now: The New Comics Anthology #1, edited by Eric Reynolds (Fantagraphics Books).
* Providence #12 by Jacen Burrows, Juan Rodriguez, and Alan Moore (Avatar Press). It came out months after, but it’s a safe bet Moore wrote this before Trump got elected, right? A more accurate depiction of the shell-shock of being thrust into a post-facts world I haven’t seen.
Roberts, Keiler; Sunburning (Koyama Press). Another big crossover hit in my house.
* Shiga, Jason; Demon Volumes 2, 3, and 4 (First Second). Demon became a book I wouldn’t stop showing to anyone who would listen. Like Gina Wynbrandt’s Someone Please Have Sex With Me, its hook transcends the normal comics reading audience -- you can show it to anyone and they get it right away. Specifically I would show people this amazing video https://youtu.be/NRxCTeM5pyU, which would clue them into what Shiga does enough to get them to read Demon. Demon has a story, but it’s more about rules -- establishing them and playfully subverting them with a level of inventiveness that regularly leaves you in awe.
* Terrell, Jake; Extended Play (2dcloud). This delightful book took me completely by surprise, an experience made possible by 2dcloud’s subscription model.
Tomasso, Rich; She Wolf: Black Baptism #1 - #4, Spy Seal: The Corten-Steel Phoenix #1 - #4 (Image Comics). The end of this second series of She Wolf approached the same hostile disregard for what came before as the end of Tomasso’s previous series, Dark Corridor. But where Dark Corridor acted on that impulse by simply burning it all down, She Wolf has enough respect at least to replace what came before by pivoting into a completely different comic. The freedom this affords the plot to dart in unpredictable directions is exhilarating. And it’s fun and beautifully laid out and designed, as always with Tomasso.
Tran, Thu; Dust Pam (Peow). Gorgeous!
Vaupen, Zach Hazard; Combed Clap of Thunder (Retrofit Comics and Big Planet Comics).
* Willumsen, Connor; Anti-Gone (Koyama Press). The part where the protagonists drive their boat past a window with a dog in it rewired my comics-making brain forever. This was another comic I only read a few pages of a night to make it last longer, and also recommended to friends of mine who were enjoying season three of Twin Peaks -- the plot is obfuscated in a similar way.
Yanow, Sophie; What is a Glacier? (Retrofit Comics and Big Planet Comics).
Yokoyama, Yuichi; Iceland (Retrofit Comics). Another comic I recommended to Twin Peaks season three fans. Similar to the residents of the Red Room, the characters seem truly of another world, their motivations and actions incomprehensible to us.

My YouTube Comment On Pairing: Yako Katsuragi x Yuya Higuchi! 💞💞💞💞
Hiya everybody! 💗🍓🌟Sweetness-Pop🌈🍭🌸 here! On YouTube, I, currently as🌟Symbol🌈Of🌸Sweetness💖, have this nonstop habit where I tend to type in long, detailed comments, which I’d love to use my creative mind to good use. & So I thought, why not share with all of you....to give the ultimate example of my definition for my phase “sweets”. I just copied my YT comment & pasted it on WORD, so here is what I typed about 1 of my OTPs:
Yako Katsuragi & Yuya Higuchi from Neuro: Supernatural Detective(aka Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro) by Yusei Matsui who is obviously famous for Assassination Classroom. 😉

So for those who are solid romantic NeuYako shippers, I would so not read this comment if I were you!😰
.
.
.
.
.
.
Btw, I was close to shipping Neuro & Yako, but in my heart, I believe that I see them as a bizarre mentor & pupil in a platonic way. With Neuro being more like a surrogate father for Yako especially after her dad Seiichi was murdered, Neuro, Yako's papa #2.😁
Not to mention what deepens my thought is when I read in Yusei Matsui's 2016 interview that he answered in 1 of his questions that he's great with father-figure/child relationships for an audience. So that was a nice reminder that not only Matsui considers Koro-Sensei as a paternal figure obviously to 3E, but also Neuro to Yako.☺
But what's super important is that I want to say that for romance, I actually find myself shipping Yuuya Higuchi x Yako Katsuragi!
❤♥🧡💛💚💙💜
I just couldn't help it because to be perfectly honest, those two are realistic & could have the potential to become lovers!
I believe that after the HAL arc, it's implied that Higuchi fell for Yako after she saved him from his guilt, she indeed "captured the criminal's heart."
There were even more moments between them in the manga, which is a hell of a lot better.
What if before meeting Yako, Higuchi actually has never thought about or just wasn't interested in love & that he never even had experience, but all of that changed when Yako came in to his life, & suddenly....he falls in love for the very 1st time?💓
Imagine after the completion of 2nd work, Assassination Classroom back in '16, Matsui will finally make up his mind & bring back the MTNN series as a sequel especially after that cliffhanger from the final chapter, 202. & in the sequel, Matsui will have fans by surprise by doing his usual & crazy ship hintings by making Yako & Higuchi become even closer, which includes the 1st name base:Yako-Chan & Yuya-Kun, & Higuchi's in love with Yako even more. The two would be revealed to even do stuff together like have breakfast, lunch & dinner, go to places like arcades, malls, internet cafes, Disneyland, Sega Joypolis & spas,...& perhaps spare keys to each other's places.🥞☕🍱💑🥃🍝🍷🎡🎮
And timeskip Higuchi now wears a white gold watch on his right wrist, he cherishes so much as he's always wearing it. Why? Because it was a gift from Yako on his 20th birthday.⌚
What if Matsui will make Higuchi so in love with Yako that he does not pay any attention to other females at all, not even to check out? Matsui will even have Higuchi having intense sexual feelings towards Yako as he'd have 0 reaction when it comes to other women especially with those who have much bigger breasts than Yako. But when it comes to only Yako, Higuchi gets turned on, his urges would get to him. Higuchi would even fantasize about Yako like when she's in a bikini, wearing an apron naked, taking a shower, seducing him, & in his mind, he visions her clothes falling off of her as her naked body is covered in his blanket as she lays on his bed. He'd even dream of making love to her.
🍒💥🛏
Imagine Higuchi being the 1st one to have ever see Yako as a woman, he'd not even be bothered that she has small breasts like possibly a B cup, in fact Higuchi would believe that Yako with a full heaving 38B size is perfect & beautiful on her, & that he prays that they'll never grow bigger...in a way, Higuchi's love for Yako will be described by Matsui as romantic, loyal, strong &....perverted.
Yuya Higuchi could even be one of those supporting characters who deserve justice like the 2 JUMP females Hinata Hyuga from Naruto & Orihime Inoue from Bleach. NaruHina💝IchiHime💖& soon HiguYako💗
In fact what if Higuchi's love for Yako will have us even reminiscing the true love that Kaede Kayano felt only for Nagisa Shiota in AssClass? Also what if while doing a lot of colorspread of Yako & Higuchi together, Matsui were to even draw them together in a crossover with Nagisa x Kayano?
💚HiguYako♥ x 💙Nagikae💚
Plus imagaine in the MTNN sequel,to save him, Yako gives Higuchi the hits kiss except it'll be naughtier & more erotic than Nagisa's on Kayano there'd be tongue wrestling, & sounds of moaning & breathing that are extremely hot & heavy with passion.💏🔞
Then in a much later chapter/episode, Yako at 20 & Higuchi at 23 lose their virginity to each other.Turns out that because of how much he loves her, Higuchi is unexpectedly so good at makin' love for his first time with Yako who enjoys the passionate pleasure too much ....with "Romance" by Penicillin, opening theme of other Shonen JUMP series Sexy Commando Gaiden Sugoiyo! Masaru-san playing in the anime version.🔞💏🛏🍒💥
& Now to wrap this up, imagine Matsui ending the MTNN sequel with an epilogue taking place in 2023, 13 years after Neuro's death(sorry Nougami😞). Yako & Higuchi are married(with Yuya adopting Yako's surname😏), & together they have 4 kids.....& a male pet capybara named Yoshimaru.
💍💒👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🏠
 The kids:
1st, daughter Yuzue. Champagne blonde hair, blood red eyes & light tan skin. She is her mother's spitting image with her father's eyes. Her hair is kept in a half-up, half-down twintail style that is similar to Misa Amane's from Death Note(also JUMP). When she's a teen, her breasts are in a perfect full B cup like Yako's. Takes after her alot especially with the unstoppable giagantic appetite...like mother like daughter. She was born on January, 3 2013. Her name in the kanji 柚永 means "citrus eternity"🍋
2nd, son Yahiro. Black hair with an ahoge, brown eyes & pale skin. Looks just like his father with his mother's eyes, & wears glasses like his late grandpa Higuchi. He was born on July, 15 2017. His name in the kanji 矢博 means "arrow abundant"➡.
3rd, son Yuusei(like the mangaka😊). Blonde hair, blood red eyes & light tan skin. Bears a strong resemblance to Yako like her little genderbender with Yuya's eyes. The sei in his name, was after late grandpa Seiichi Katsuragi. He was born on May, 30 2019. His name in the kanji 勇星 means "brave star"🌟
& 4th, daughter Yasumi. Brown hair, brown eyes & pale skin. She actually inherited her brown hair from grandma Haruka Katsuragi. She likes to keep her hair in twintails as a little girl. When she's older, she shockingly grows breasts that are alot bigger than her mom's & big sister's lol!
She was born on November, 6 2022.
Her name in the kanji 康心 means "peaceful heart".❤
  My OTP of MTNN....HiguxYako!😍
& That was 1 of my favorite comments on YouTube. I hope that you all had a nice reaction when reading all of this.😆 I so hope that Matsui will someday give his debut series MTNN a comeback in the future. I’m so glad that this series is Weekly Shonen JUMP, it even came out on the year that I started high school, which was 2005. I’ll write more sweets for HiguYako especially about their children: Yuzue, Yahiro, Yusei & Yasumi someday.🍋⬆⭐❤ My next post will be part 2 of my “Pilot: Crossover Sweets”, I am almost done typing it, so I should have it done by around next week.
So see ya soon!💕🤩

Amateur Photography Tips For Better Photos
Amateur Photography Tips For Better Photos
With that said in mind, I 'd highly suggest you to review the entire write-up, even though you're a common amateur, merely to refurbish on the mental aspect of photography. I've never ever created a write-up on my technique of presuming when taking pictures, however I think it is actually awesome due to the fact that it's not like your day-to-day digital photography recommendation article.
Thus read through on for a handful of techniques, together with a handful of photos, obviously.
 Learn To See Creatively
The most ideal way to discover to observe creatively is actually to Take 3d Photo. The main reason being actually is due to the fact that the additional pictures you take and the additional opportunity you invest in your photography, the extra you will definitely start to see traits you would typically never view. The eyes of a real freelance photographer, or artist, views designs, trends, light as well as color when walking down an ally or around a road. For example, let's envision I took a picture of a railroad monitor at evening in a big city: www.lucidpix.com
I observed a good photograph as a result of the 1) light showing off the steel 2) the contrasts in color between the lumber as well as metallic 3) the sturdy angled pipes of the track leading coming from edge-to-edge. Just before I learned how to view artistically, I've most likely walked over that railway keep track of a million opportunities and certainly not as soon as have I observed it the means I perform now. All these things added all together develop a fantastic photo for the eye. That's great as well as all, but, the photo is overlooking a strong information. It does not give off a strong adequate feeling/emotion when one checks out the photograph. To acquire that, you obtained ta:
 Experience The Moment
If the observing creates any sort of feeling what-so-ever, it's that I strongly believe every person possesses the capability to find creatively in their very own private technique. To view creatively is actually, in my point of view, to prepare your thoughts cost-free as well as obtain in-tune along with your emotions. These feelings are what drive effective photographs. And also if you can easily obtain your mind, eyes and cam to relate to your feelings at that point you've only opened a door that possesses the possibility for you to end up being an excellent professional photographer.
You wish individuals to think your photos; To get a tough psychological reaction considering that it's all regarding the emotion, the effect and also the building composition of a Take 3d Photo. There are simply a few essential steps to enhance the feel as well as influence of your photos, creating all of them right into momentous masterworks. It is actually absolutely not as simple as you will assume and also undoubtedly certainly not one thing you can easily discover in a few hrs or even a couple of times. It might take weeks, months as well as often years. It is actually all approximately you and also just how much opportunity and also devotion you invest taking photographes and also discovering photography. When you are out firing and view one thing you would like to take a photo of, quit and inquire on your own these 3 inquiries:
Why do I wish to take this image?
What is actually the primary notification of the photo?
Exactly how am I visiting take account efficiently?
Keep inquiring on your own these 3 questions before you push the shutter as well as, I promise you, there are going to be actually a renovation in your photos. Let me detail the concerns in even more detail:
The inquiry "why perform I desire to take this picture" forces you to describe your sensations. You did after all stop to take the image due to the fact that you "really felt" maybe a good picture. Yet why? Was it considering that the illumination was really good? Was there one thing amazing happening? The more you inquire on your own why and the even more you address why, the more you'll begin to experience the second as well as begin viewing creatively. Keep in mind, it is actually all concerning sensation as well as corresponding that experiencing to the viewer.
So since you recognize why you wish to take the photograph, you possess to ask your own self, "what is actually the major notification of the picture?" This inquiry will certainly better hone the 1st question, aiding you describe the genuine topic whether it be actually charming forms and different colors or an individual whose skin narrates of a long battling journey. Whatever it is actually, it preps you for the next question:
" How am I going to take the photo efficiently?" Effectively, you can easily start through thinking about the very first two inquiries and also what their responses were actually. Imagine this as an example:
Say you're being in a cars and truck at a traffic signal and observe a male starting to cross the street. You experience it may make a really good photo, so you inquire on your own "why" and also answer "due to the fact that the heavens is actually blazing reddish as well as the timing ideal." So you swiftly inquire your own self the upcoming inquiry, "what is the primary message of the image" and respond to "to obtain the emotion and also mood of a metropolitan sundown." Next you promptly obtain the video camera (shame on you certainly not having it out presently) and also ask yourself the last question; "How am I going to take the photo successfully?" You struggle at initially, after that you recognize that time is every little thing. So you quickly compose the chance, desperately seeing to it the buildings are aligned about using the guideline of thirds as well as hang around until the guy crossing the road corrects at the center of the blinding sunlight, developing an awesome editorial like silhouette Take 3d Photo.
These three questions will come to be instinctual to you as well as soon you will certainly discover yourself talking to and answering these questions sub-consciously. Just keep in mind the moment again, that communicating your feelings with your pictures by utilizing your artistic eye as well as human brain, all concatenated will certainly make for outstanding, momentous photographes.
 Research Amazing Photos And Books
Granted, I'm certainly not a remarkable photographer by any kind of types, simply a typical amateur, however I strongly believe that if you want to take good pictures, you can, as well as you can possibly do thus without heading to school. I am self taught in more or less every thing I carry out, photography being my primary passion. A large influence for me are impressive images. You can know a whole lot by analyzing all of them and also determining what creates it an incredible photo only by asking yourself the exact same 3 "why", "what" as well as "exactly how" questions mentioned above. I often invest hours just analyzing images, each to enjoy as well as likewise to think out the active ingredients of producing it a memorable image. Go to internet sites like Flickr, Photo.net, 500px as well as 1X since certainly not simply do they have photos, they possess impressive images. Specifically 1X. Check out the photos that interest you as well as inquire yourself why they excite you. Simply start researching them, as well as review people responses to the pictures. Discover whatever there is actually to recognize.
If you just like to learn with manuals and also yearn for one thing really good to read through, I will recommend getting at least 3 away from the 5 books discussed below given that all 5 of these publications have created a substantial impact on my digital photography:
The Photographer's Eye: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos through Michael Freeman
Comprehending Exposure, 3rd Edition: How to Shoot Great Photographs with Any Camera through Bryan Peterson
Scott Kelby's 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3 through Scott Kelby
The Hot Shoe Diaries: Big Light coming from Small Flashes through Joe McNally
The Camera (Ansel Adams Photography, Book 1) through Ansel Adams and Robert Baker
Did you discover that I chose 5 books on 5 completely various topics? That's because with these 5 publications you may learn everything from off-camera lighting and also arrangement, to Photoshop and exposure. These books mixed together are just outstanding to read and study, and also considering that they're written by effectively understood freelance photographers, you understand there is actually really good details to compile inside.
Obtain Constructive Criticism
Improving your photography and also taking really good photographes suggests you must receive advice coming from the pros, due to the fact that they've been actually where you're at as well as know the great as well as poor, as well as the right and incorrect in digital photography. I personally have never consulted with a true "specialist" professional photographer in person. I've only conversed along with pros via using internet discussion forums as well as e-mail. I will suggest, if you can, to meet a few pros and join them in a handful of jobs or even et cetera, which is really one thing on my to-do listing considering that teaming up with a true pro is going to offer you hands-on expertise as well as get true responses, true useful critical remarks, unlike the kind your friends and family provide you Take 3d Photo.
I 'd propose you enroll to one or even every one of these review web sites because they, too, can easily provide you honest yet sometimes frank, useful objection. Google the following to find the sites:
 photocritique
flickr
digital-photography-school
And finally my favorite and without a doubt the very best of all of them all, 1X. You need to authorize up to find and utilize their critique unit, but it is actually entirely worth it, and totally free.
What you perform is you authorize up to one or all of the critique internet sites, and post a picture that you desire to acquire some feedback one. A lot of the amount of time these internet sites need you to offer comments on at the very least one photograph just before publishing your very own. This makes the area balanced, therefore everybody does not merely always keep uploading pictures for assessment and certainly never break down any kind of reviews on their own.
Aside from assessment websites, there are actually a few photography blog sites that I like, also. The very first being the famous weblog authored through David Hobby contacted Strobist. His blog is mostly about off-camera lights, or even consequently the label, strobes. I must discuss him simply for the benefit of stating him, Ken Rockwell. He's essentially a Nikon fanatic that discussions jokes a lot concerning a wide range of various subject matters. He additionally possesses a great deal of terrific information on Nikon cam equipment. Joshua Hoffine is possibly among my favored freelance photographers considering that he establishes his tries as if they're motion pictures. He additionally possesses a fantastic blog so I will recommend that you observe him just so you may find his latest impressive work as well as just how he creates them.
As well as currently for the no brainer ...
 Keep Pressing That Shutter!
Process makes excellent and taking photos is actually no exemption. If you would like to become the upcoming ideal digital photographer around, or even around the world (hey it's feasible!) you need to go out and also begin shooting a lot more. And for those that visit 60 plus hours of work a week and also still aim to become a wonderful freelance photographer, you need to locate time to go out and fire. It's hard, I know. I only function around fifty hrs a week at my retail work listed here in Berkley, Michgan as well as understand in person just how difficult it is actually discovering time to Take 3d Photo.
If you wish to acquire better, you possess to commit time to fire photos. When I to begin with entered photography I didn't devote much more than a couple of hours a month with my video camera. And also it showed; My photos looked the very same as they performed when I initially started. One thing required to become carried out so I got involved in the practice of investing a few hrs every full week dealing with my strategy. That ultimately cultivated in to a handful of hrs intermittent time finding out exactly how to take photographes. Very soon I will discover on my own spending many hours every single time taking photographes and understanding, that I believe my scalp essentially received a few centimeters larger coming from all the relevant information I had gathered!
 Final Words
If there is actually something that I've determined over the in 2013 while trying to come to be a much better digital photographer, it's that attitude has every thing to carry out with images. Many of this write-up possesses nothing to perform along with a real photography "approach" if you will, because I feel that if you're told to take photographes a certain technique you're tightened within a collection absurd regulations, and also you will certainly never have the capacity to look into photography with your very own feelings. Anyways, I hope I brought up some assets, ones that you will definitely take in to activity very soon since if you carry out, I understand you'll very soon find that there is actually a terrific freelance photographer within you. You merely obtained ta have the inspiration to continue and also have the right mindset.

A lot pertains to the general image premium - our designers may work along with pictures of lesser top quality, yet there is actually merely a great deal our company can easily do to bring clearness to a blurred or even pixilated picture." Cash money recommends utilizing much higher premium images for blankets, pillows, and other bigger items. "Phone pictures can work, especially those taken along with the more recent smart phones due to the fact that the video camera has a tendency to take better pictures than previous creations. Yet these photographes taken along with phones are still better on precious jewelry, our tiny cartons, wall time clocks, and other tool to little photograph presents." Photographes taken using conventional electronic cameras often tend to become the greatest selection for large-format presents Take 3d Photo.

How to Take Good Digital Photos
Video camera makers supply various recommendations about how to take really good digital images. If you have actually just recently changed from making use of a film electronic camera, you may be a little bit of bewildered. Unwind. Taking images without movie is really simpler in lots of ways.
With movie electronic cameras, you must select your film based upon the volume of lighting you counted on to have when you were firing. The far better modern video cameras are actually outfitted with the potential to decide on the ISO to transform the camera's sensitiveness to illumination. That indicates you can receive good gos despite the lights and also without needing to modify the movie.
You ought to attempt to know whatever that there is actually to find out about your electronic camera. If you are actually not the type of individual that reads through the proprietor's guidebook from front to back, you may constantly be dissatisfied in your tries as well as never ever understand why.
Among the things you will certainly learn about in your handbook is actually the flash selection. Flash is even suitable for outside pictures, especially those that are of people. If your target is actually beyond your cam's flash variety, your targets will show up also dark Take 3d Photo.
You can easily make use of flash outsides to compensate for darkness. A person's skin might be shaded through a hat, for instance. Making use of the electronic camera's flash might permit you to find the individual's face, despite having the hat on. Outdoor flash can easily additionally help to recompense for backlighting (when the natural illumination is behind the target) in electronic photography.
Another point you will wish to gain from your owner's guidebook is actually how to lock the emphasis. The actions you need to take differ. If you are actually making use of a Kodak camera, for instance, you will definitely focus the subject, push the shutter button one-half way down till you view the square and after that placed the subject matter in the center of the square. This locks the focus to create a sharper picture.
Among the best aspects of electronic photography is that you come to observe a small version of the outcome of your try in your cam's view display screen. If you failed to receive something right and your topic is actually still there, you can easily take an additional chance.

1. Happy New Year! Do you have any music based resolutions? Any new goals?
1)Happy New Year to you too! Yes, I would like to have my first number one hit this year and finish and release my first 'film-you can-dance/work-out-to' across the country and around the globe.
.
youtube
2. We love your video for the song Chubacadbra. How did you come up with the song and in your own words what is the song about?
2)The song 'About to Become Your Own Clone' is really just the first few pages of the 90 minute 'Duke Rooster' script set to music. 'Chupacadabra' is the name of chapter one, which is the video you saw. Giving names to chapters of a film is a nod to my favorite, Quentin Tarantino. Chupacadabra, in my mind, refers to the magic of the chupacabra, a being first sighted in Puerto Rico in 1995, and mostly seen in and around Albuquerque NM, where I live. In this case, we're talking about 'Chupy' the chupacabra who is paramount to this film. We see him for the first time reclining and observing me in captivity at 1:17. I had him custom made by Wildlife Taxidermy on Central Avenue here in Albuquerque. The other creatures I made myself using liquid latex and cheesecloth. The lyrics to the song invite you to identify with the central character, my character, 'Duke Rooster'. By becoming Duke Rooster, the viewer's memories become transferred into Duke Rooster's body, along with Duke Rooster's other memories. Cloning a character and transferring his or her memories is an idea I first saw in Arnold Shwarzanegger's 'The 6th Day'
3. Why do you call the song Chubacadbra? Do you belive in the Chubacabdra?
3) I call chapter one of the 'Duke Rooster' film 'Chupacadabra' because it's a mixture of the classic magic word Abracadabra and the name of the magic animal, the Chupacabra. We are briefly introduced to Chupy early on without realizing how central to the story he is. As far as believing in the chupacabra, I'm not sure it's a good idea. When I first had the Chupy puppet made at the taxidermist I would leave him out at home and I would wake up with these vampire-like wounds on my neck. The chupacabra is known as 'the goat sucker' and apparently it sucks the blood out of goats. The wounds were probably just a psycho-somatic phenomena, but I keep him in a Petco box now. It was really fun having the manager of Petco come up to me and asking him "what kind of animal do you think this is?" and having Chupy pop out of the box. The manager said he needed to go change his pants. I took Chupy around town doing that.
4. Do you believe in aliens?
4) As far as believing in aliens, I think it's kind of a far-fetched idea to think that humans are alone in an infinite universe. I mean, look at all the animals! All these animals and we still call ourselves 'alone'. We ignore the animals. It's ridiculous. I'm not on any high horse about it, I mean, I eat animals, but still... Whether aliens are really aliens or just from a deeper level of here, like another dimension or something, I don't really know. The ones I depict in the film I see more in what you might consider a religious experience, like a deep trance state, and might just be some kind of personification of my deeper potential that I'm attempting to integrate with. They help me with my creative process. I've seen a lot of crazy ufos, but I live right next to an air-force base, so there's that. It could very well just be experimental aircraft.
5. Do you have an album/EP out now that readers should check out or are you about releasing singles?
5) You know, as far as having stuff out for sale on the internet, I don't know what to say. I don't really trust it. I've put stuff out for sale like 'Gotta Keep on Tryin' which is a guitar heavy album in 2012, and people said they sent money but never received it. I sold a few from the stage, like I usually have done. The way I am I just released it and let it go into the universe and moved on to the next project. I have zero interest in spending all my time begging people to listen to my stuff. I never would have written so many songs if I had spent all my time doing that. Instead I went to UNM to learn about visual media and screenwriting so that I could represent my songwriting visually, because I'm excited about this idea that won't let me go...of making movies you can dance to, movies you can work out to; catchy operas with a beat, essentially. I know this idea will work. What you saw is the very first thing I've done like that- where the song and the story and the visuals are one, written to be exactly what they are. It's also a departure for me musically; usually I play guitar and there's no guitar on that. It's all keyboard driven.
6. Music wise, what are you working on?
6) Music wise, I'm writing a bunch of songs on piano right now and working on translating the rest of that 90 page script into music. On a good day I can do about 3 pages of script-into-music. I like the idea of creating melodies that reflect natural speech. When the characters sing, it sounds more like they're talking, and the result can be pretty funny. My character from this 'Duke Rooster' film, ('Duke Rooster' himself), wrote a bunch of ridiculously raunchy guitar songs which can be seen on Youtube. It's hard to find them on there, and they keep getting removed because these mischievous videos are mashups from famous movies and shows. I edited a mud-wrestling video for 'Get Down (and Dirty)', but the WWE had it removed. Probably the lyrics were embarrassing to them and I featured a few of their wrestlers. You might still be able to see it at reverbnation.com/aaronhamre.
7.Who came up with the video concept and effects?
7) The video concept and effects are mine. I learned from Brian Konefsky, Mathew Mc Duffy and the other great teachers at UNM, and also from my experience on public access t.v. in Albuquerque. I superimposed the light of actual ufos wherever possible, even as light fixtures, and the sets are composite images, sometimes 10 or more layers deep using Final Cut Pro X. Some of the backdrops use elements from great architecture and artists I'd like to work with in the future.
8. When did you make music a priority?
8) Music has always been natural for me. I didn't realize it was anything at all until I played harmonica for my friend in the 3rd grade and she flipped out. That meant a lot to me because i had a crush on her. It was just always something I could do. I could pick up an instrument and play it. I'm mostly a singer. I use instruments to improvise and go way out into the universe on an adventure. In that way, I'm a jazz artist. I also use them to help me write songs, or in this case, a movie soundtrack.
9. What inspires you daily to write & record music?
9) What inspires me daily is a daily interaction, a conversation, a prayer, with music. Music is another name for what you would call God or the Great Spirit or Hashem or whatever you like to call it. A personification, a personality of the sum total of all consciousness that exists everywhere and manifests the whole universe over and over again through vibration. Rhythm, harmony, melody. Dancing, playing, singing. Sex. Love.
10. When you are not making music what else do you enjoy to do?
10) When I'm not writing songs I also enjoy healing work; I enjoy practicing 'Core Synchronism' which combines cranio/sacral work, cranial osteopathy, and other modalities, developed by Robert Stevens. Basically you communicate with the person's (or animal's) deeper physiology to help it heal itself. After massage school at New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, I went back there to learn about that stuff. I used to enjoy stone sculpture, but the dust gets in your lungs no matter what. I enjoy other forms of sculpture, like latex movie-puppet-making obviously, and oil painting and drawing. I enjoy managing my anger issues with the help of a heavy bag and a good counselor.
11. Where you @ online?
11) You can find me online at reverbnation.com/aaronhamre and facebook.com/aaronhamre.

You are the Duke of NY, A # 1 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOjC2n2VVtY John Carpenter's Escape From NY 1981 S. D. Bob Snake Plissken: Kurt Russell Duke of NY: Isaac Hayes 💚💜💙💛❤ Oh that Meatwad and Boxy Brown. My favorites. Was in the mood for this clip after I saw a video for Bambi https://youtu.be/K0Eeju2aiGY And someone said Rick Ross on a live stream. My friend says isn't Rick Ross the one that says... And from there, the search began. I knew the references and all, just couldn't remember it was Isaac Hayes 💙💜💚💛❤ In Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Solid Snake names himself "Iroquois Pliskin" upon meeting with Raiden for the first time, Iroquois being a word meaning "Snake." Solid Snake's character was also heavily inspired by Snake Plissken.[10] Kurt Russell was reportedly offered the role of Naked Snake (Solid Snake's genetic progenitor, also known as Big Boss) during the development of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, but Russell apparently declined. 👆👆👆👆 From: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_Plissken 💀🐍💀🐍💀🐍💀🐍💀🐍💀🐍💀🐍 http://www.metalgearsolid.net/features/hideo-kojima-at-the-movies-escape-from-new-york Hideo Kojima at the Movies: Escape From New York With the third column of the series, Mr. Kojima transitions from World War II adaptations to a John Carpenter sci-fi classic, and it's lead character which laid the foundation for the antihero, Solid Snake. This article was exclusively written for Official PlayStation 2 Magazine by Mr. Hideo Kojima. We are now entering round 3 of this column. I have talked about The Great Escape and The Guns of Navarone - classics of the 60s. Obviously, I did not see them at real time. I saw them on the small TV in the living room instead of on the big screen at the movies. The process was not really an active effort of "watching" but more of a passive experience of "seeing" what happened to be shown on the TV. This was how I encountered many movies in my childhood. But it was these coincidental encounters that created the foundation within myself. I grew up and then became able to experience film "actively" by going to the movies by myself. This time I would like to talk about a film I saw not on TV but at the movies, based on my own will. And the 3rd film turns out to be the movie that influenced me the most in the birth of MGS hero Solid Snake - Escape from New York (the Japanese title was New York 1997). In Spring 1981, I was a high school student. I went to the movies with my friends. Considering myself an avid film fan, I certainly knew of John Carpenter. Although I did have him in mind, I was not a worshipper yet. The lights were turned down, and the film began. Only text is shown on the black screen. A calm melody with a monotone rhythm, analog electric sounds... a simple and even tasteless opening - but I was drawn to it. My skin could feel the unique atmosphere and what was about to happen. Then came a brief description of the setting (Manhattan Island turned into a prison). There is no room for questions for such a wild setting. A computer voice talks emotionlessly about how the future will be in the next 10-20 years. All this time the audience gets no live footage. All the audience can do is imagine based on the data and wire frame (actually models whose edges are colored with fluorescent paint). Various images of the future flood the minds of the audience and cause a mental panic. The next cut shows a panoramic view of Manhattan the prison. "This is gonna be great!" The next hour and a half, I was glued to the innovative idea and punk atmosphere. "How could such a cool movie exist!" It wasn't simply a fun movie. The movie and I shared similar chemistry. The colors, the smell, and the air were things that the director and I shared in taste. There is no logical explanation. I believe everyone has had this kind of experience with music and film. It might not have been a movie popular among the public, but it was definitely the movie I got into the most. I was especially electrified by the hero, Snake Plissken. Being in the midst of my rebellious period, the antihero "Snake" resonated harmoniously! He was a dark hero that separated himself from the orthodox hero who was either part of some organization, enslaved by the system, or was justice personified. Noire novels and stories and movies with evil heroes are common now, but this was quite rare back then. Although he gets used, he ultimately lives by his own ideology. Although confined as a criminal, he was not truly evil. Instead, he was a new type of hero with "justice not bound by others." Snake's words, actions and every move looked so cool. I'm sure that when people came out of the theatre, they were all dragging their right leg just like Snake (who gets injured by an arrow). My friends and I were no exception. (By the way, I had one eye shut like Mel Gibson after seeing "Mad Max 2.") The line "Call me Snake!" became a fad in school. The name 'Snake' in MGS comes from "creeping up on someone silently like a snake." The adjective 'Solid' expresses Snake's strong and blade-sharp image - paradoxical when combined with a snake's litheness. Normally, 'snake' and 'solid' do not get along. It's like talking about hot ice. I came up with this name to express this lack of balance and equilibrium. But when I decided that the codename would be Snake, the character itself was more Plissken than snake-like at the subconscious level. If I used a different name (animal) for Snake in MGS, he probably would have been a totally different character. This movie is another example that contains the very important synopsis element of "infiltration, rescue, and escape". What adds greatly to the suspense is the 24-hour "time limit". What plays a big role as a direction tool is his very obvious watch. You could ask, "Does it really have to be this big?" but showing this watch instead of an on-screen timer works really well. Snake takes a look at his watch at the very moment the audience wishes to take a look. The time is not spoken. The audience has to read the time just like Snake. Towards the end when it is only minutes away from the limit, the watch is no longer shown. Only Snake's facial expression is shown. It is a mean but calculated means of direction. Carpenter is great with such small touches. The device indicating the president's location, the cassette tape necessary at the summit, the bracelet with the hidden switch, the nanocapsule that dissolves in blood and causes and explosion, the diving glider, the egg-shaped escape pod... the cool use of all these neat gadgets adds to the enjoyment of this film. The reason why New York is the setting of MGS2, I have answered many times in my interviews. "After taking care of business in Alaska, where would Snake go?" When I asked myself this question, I very quickly reached the conclusion that he would be in a common location nearby instead of a remote corner of the world with a hostile climate. The candidate that I came up with no hesitation was New York. New York is the center of the world economy and culture - a melting pot and "mini Earth". It is in the United States of America, but not exactly American - more like an independent nation. That is why I chose New York. At the same time, it is an homage to the film. I said to myself, "If Snake escaped from New York in 1997, it was about time he returned to New York." John Carpenter was our hero in the 80s. He established the new genre of "Sci-fi horror." He did not "sell out" to blockbuster films. He pursued his own style of entertainment. He was never sucked into the current of the times. He ran the dark side. From the late 70s to the early 80s, he was a director completely different from Spielberg and Lucas. His popularity can be compared to that of James Cameron, who emerged later on (coincidentally, Cameron worked on the special effects of this movie). He has not created hits in the 90s, but he keeps on creating films constantly. Carpenter is Carpenter, and he will continue being Carpenter. No creator of our generation has been unaffected by Carpenter. I made sure to see every new film by him. This past summer, his film Ghosts of Mars has finally been shown in Japan. It was a B movie, but it revitalized me. It was the Carpenter film of all Carpenter films. His "rock spirit" was definitely there. Yes, it could be old-fashioned. It might not be a Hollywood mainstream movie. But still, I enjoyed it a lot. Like Escape from New York, it was indeed a Carpenter film. It was shown in a few selected theatres only, but die-hard fans like myself flocked to them and the film stayed in the theatres for a month. This was a sign of how popular and respected he is among men of my generation. In Japan, we released a Premium Package edition of MGS2. In the package was a pamphlet that included a comment from Carpenter himself. I have not met him in person, but he conscientiously played MGS2. I was really happy to hear that. He gave me his praising comment. The comment in the pamphlet is as follows: "Like Snake Plissken, MGS2 can't be stopped! This game rocks!" - John Carpenter -- Article by Hideo Kojima, Official Playstation 2 Magazine, 05.12.2002
