Hoooooly shit comparing the two Marvin-gives-knife cutscenes from the A stories and he's so much more vulnerable with Claire? After he hands her the knife he collapses back down and lets himself make pained noises, but in Leon's! He clenches his teeth and tries to breathe through it, because he's seen that Leon is way less prepared than Claire is and he wants to put up a stronger front. So interesting to me how he very much takes a commanding tone for Leon, telling him what to do firmly and even wishing he could go with him for support, while with Claire their conversation is a lot calmer and it feels like they're on equal footing. Marvin steps up to take control because he can SEE Leon already unraveling but he can be frank with Claire even though he obviously also cares about what happens to her. Agh. Marvin 🥺
