Fans hating on Greta for myriad nonsense reasons is expected at this point, and usually it has to do with her race, her relation to the trio, how well she clicks with Alucard, and her only being introduced in the final season.

But seeing someone claim it's because she essentially "stole" a canon mlm rep from the show by being a woman instead of a man is peak fan bullshit.

#fanon/loosely teased canon aside with alucard and trevor i can agree that having a sweet mlm relationship would have been nice in the show #but it rings as wildly hollow that greta can blamed that lack of rep when that is NOT why fans hate her #and y'know i have little doubt that fans who hate her would have absolutely been fine w/greta had she been grant instead #bc fandom is full of bs #except that's not my beef with their theory. my beef is that it's being argued genuinely: that the only flaw with greta and her bond #with alucard is that she's not a man with the shaky excuse that it's ''for rep''#as of bi4bi and bi woman/bi man relationships aren't generally ill represented in fiction or interracial relationships aren't rep themselve #which is to say: i am so tired of fandom flattening the complexities/intersections of human experience #down into ''good/desired rep'' vs ''not good enough rep'' not bc there are actual problems w/said rep but bc it's not what you want to ship #and that's just sad tbqh #castlevania #edit: also yes mlm can be bi4bi but what i meant was that gretacard is still queer so it already exists as queer rep
