no one. asked but here’s each generation the finches (+ the ones who married into the family) are considered:

odin (1880) — the missionary generation [ from what i could find, as no one really mentions anything before the lost generation ]

ingeborg (1880s?) — either the missionary generation OR the lost generation [ cusp years ]

edie (1917) — the greatest generation

sven (1915) — the greatest generation

johann (wiki says 1937? so possibly around the 1930s?) — the silent generation

molly (1937) - the silent generation

barbara (1944) - the silent generation

calvin (1950) - baby boomer

walter (1952) - baby boomer

sam (1950) - baby boomer

kay (wiki says late but 1940s but? 1950s seems more accurate.) - baby boomer [ still would be accurate if it was the late 40s as well. ]

gus (1969) - generation x

gregory (1976) - generation x

dawn (1968) - generation x

sanjay (1960s) - generation x [ most likely ]

lewis (1988) - millennial/generation y

milton (1992) - millennial/generation y

edith (1999) - generation z

christopher (2017) - generation alpha

monroe (????) - who knows. generation alpha seems the most likely but he could also be right on the cusp of generation z (so like. 2010? 2011? 2012? the debated years) and generation alpha.

sorry the amount of generations this family goes through in one story is like jeez. interesting to me though. learned some stuff!!
