Do you miss him?

You lightly tap the top of Edgar's casing, you've been doing this for a awhile now but he didn't seem to mind it. He was focused on the TV while you had tuned out what it was saying the moment the question popped into your mind. You stared at him.

You didn't know how to approach the subject if at all. He never brought it up and you never really thought about it until now. Right now seemed like a better time than any; Edgar was snug in your lap and calm. Everything should be good.

Your tapping grew faster, now a rhythmic thump as you began to spiral. What if he just doesn't want to talk about it? What if he isn't ready for this sort of conversation yet? What if it hurts to remember? What if he doesn't remember? What if-

You took a deep breath, stuffing your worries down for just a moment. You'd deal with the bridge once you were there. Your tapping stopped and you leaned back, your back up against the couch.

"...Edgar?," You call out, trying to sound soft but it came out shaky. Your gaze looking back up at the TV still not registering what was going on

"Y/n?," Edgar called back, copying your tone

"Do you...," You paused for a moment. This was your only chance to back out,"...miss him?"

You could hear Edgar's fans kick up

"You don't have to answer!," You say quickly

"No, no! I want to! I rrrreallly want to," He talks just as quickly,"I just-rrr- why are you asking this now?!"

"I was just curious. You know everything about me, but I know NOTHING about you. Plus, its been a long time, so he might be..."

Edgar was quiet for a few moments

"Like I said, you don't have to-"

"He was nice... sometimes, but he was also really mean, but I still liked him and I don't know why!," Edgar says, his voice strained,"Even when she was there touccching me, I still thought of him"

"Mhm"

"Even when I was about to... go... I asked him to hold me. I let her go, but I still wanted him" Edgar went silent again. He was silent long enough to make you think that he was done, but when you opened your mouth, he started talking again.

"I-I guess what I want to say is... I don't care where he is..."

"I just hope he never sees me again"
