Tumblr has been having a right old fit about me uploading pictures lately, so expect a small handful of belated drawings to pop up in the next hour or so.

I drew a colleague's dog for them (these pictures are then going to be used on a poster) and turned it into an excuse to make puns. Terrible, terrible puns.

Yo ho ho This man is in for a treat

- Tough and hardworking like Cori after being saved. He can be really snarky but he also has a nice side with a good sense of humor

- Has a bit of a raspy low voice with a west country-sort of accent, but not exactly like a pirate. He only really sounds like one if he gets pissed off

-(This hc used to make him like SUPER short but I wasn’t thinking about him in comparison to others so now he’s around 5,7”)

- Doesn’t like shaving because otherwise people think he looks young

- Ever since being saved he’s learned to cook so that he doesn’t have to rely on takeout. The first time he tried however he somehow burnt a piece of steak to a crisp while simultaneously leaving the inside completely raw. He got food poisoning. Thankfully he’s learned over time and his cooking is decent enough to taste good and not kill anyone

- He started working out because of Captain Cori, wanting to gain muscle like she did. He doesn’t often get the time, but he goes to the gym 2-3 times a week

- He doesn’t like a lot of things. Shrimp for example, he doesn’t like because he had to ration and eat that almost everyday and he got sick of it (also reminds him of being stranded)

- Also scared of thunderstorms, and despite being good at swimming, he doesn’t like the thought of drowning

- Yet he really likes the beach for some reason, and never stopped liking it

- His favorite things to watch on tv are sports, mainly baseball and hockey (though he only watches hockey if Allan’s in the games)

- Like mentioned with Allan, he, Allan, and Timm are all a tight friend trio who is always causing trouble, also known by everyone as “the 3 stooges”

- Likes card games in general, his favorite being cards against humanity

- For some reason pets never seem to have a good impression of him at first. Cooper’s cat scratched him when he tried to pet it, Prudence’s dog hid under the couch and growled at him if he tried getting near it, and one of Mary’s pugs barked at him if he tried to get close while the other bit him

- Good at being frugal and being resourceful

- Most of the clothes he owns are seconds-hand from the thrift store “Lovely Leftovers”. It’s his favorite store and he’s even considered a regular

- You wouldn’t think so but he’s good at escape rooms and small puzzles

- Learned sea shanties while working for Captain Cori and will sometimes sing, whistle, or hum them in his free time

- Likes old classic stories like Frankenstein and stuff from Edgar Allan Poe. He even likes fairytales. Not the nice versions the gruesome ones

-Okay this is extra but how do you like this song with Allan x Robby?

-Acoustic version of the same song because idk which one I like better

TW: Child abuse, depression, scarring and PTSD past this point (there’s only like a few hcs left but this is here just in case)

- Robby’s parents were abusive towards him when he was young. His mom didn’t care about him and his dad was very alcoholic. Because of this he fell into a deep depression during adulthood with no motives

- He had to be put in the hospital for a while after being rescued from the island due to his state. He’s still taking therapy for PTSD

- Besides emotional scarring he also has a lot of physical scars from being stuck on that island which are still visible. He’s not exactly proud of them but they’re there to stay

Hello!

My name is Abby. I'm 16. I live in a small town in the USA. My parents are recently divorced. I have two pugs, a corgi, and a cat. I'm currently doing online school and feel like I have no friends, so here I am. I'm kind of a shy and awkward person so making friends in person isn't always easy (I have social anxiety). I guess I'm just looking for someone to talk to that I can relate to and be friends with. 

Interests

I love reading books, I would do it all day if I could. I like almost all genres besides sappy romance and stuff like that. Some of my favorite books are Looking For Alaska by John Green, Call Me By Your Name by Andre Aciman, All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, Struck By Lightning: The Carson Philips Journal by Chris Colfer, Gray by Pete Wentz, Be More Chill by Neil Vizzini, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. I love Edgar Allan Poe and anything that is dark and eerie but also very meaningful. I also like historical books and philosophical undertones.

I listen to a LOT of music. I pretty much love all music that isn't pop or country. My music taste ranges from heavy metal to jazz. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Twenty One Pilots, Beartooth, Fall Out Boy, Billie Eilish, Frank Sinatra, Black Veil Brides, Sleeping With Sirens, Halsey, Panic! At The Disco, Cage The Elephant, Lana Del Rey, Childish Gambino, Marina and the Diamonds, David Bowie, My Chemical Romance, Gorillaz, Lewis Del Mar, Macklemore, Lorde, Nirvana, Sufjan Stevens, and Eliot Smith. I basically will like anything that has meaning and feelings behind it, idk I'm a sucker for the arts. One of my favorite things in the world is going to concerts. It's such a surreal experience that I can't even explain. 

I. Love. Musicals. Recently I got into Hamilton and I've just gone down an endless spiral since then. Some of my favorite musicals are Hamilton, Be More Chill, The Heathers, Dear Evan Hanson, The Book of Mormon, Chicago, Grease, Into The Woods, Kinky Boots, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Wicked, and 21 Chump Street. Unfortunately, I've never seen a musical besides at my high school, which was Guys and Dolls (it was actually pretty good). I'm trying to convince my mom that we should vacation this summer to London and go see Hamilton but its expensive so idk (fingers crossed). 

I like to watch TV shows and movies when I get the time. I've been really into comedies lately, idk why; but I mainly like light hearted shows or movies that are also kind of heavy and deep. Some of my favorite TV shows are New Girl, Supernatural, Bones, Doctor Who (although I haven't watched it in a long time), Sherlock, Castle, Firefly, Psych, The Magicians, Rick and Morty, Riverdale, Brooklyn 99, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, American Horror Story, Once Upon A Time, Gilmore Girls, and A Series of Unfortunate Events. I'll basically binge anything on Netflix that I think looks good. Some of my favorite movies are Call Me By Your Name, almost anything Marvel (Deadpool is my favorite), Heathers, Grease, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Labyrinth, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Disney (Lady and The Tramp is my favorite) and Pixar, Baby Driver, American Satan, and anything Tim Burton. Idk I'm all over the place. 

I feel like this is really long so I'm sorry, I like to write a lot. I love to learn about other cultures and places. I'm not personally religious but I have no problem with people who are. I'm a feminist so I believe in equal rights and respect for EVERYONE :)

Bird names

Do any of my followers have birds? Cause I’m seriously considering getting a bird (when I move out cause no way am I subjecting a bird to my dogs 😂) and am currently researching it a lot cause I have zero personal experience with them.

So if anyone knows a shit ton about birds and would allow me to ask really stupid questions sometimes (seriously... some of the questions in my head are really weird) please tell me xD

But for now, I’m thinking of names. Mostly for fun cause maybe a name I’ll come up with won’t match whatever type of bird I’ll end up getting. But I want something funny and clever.

You know how one of Pewdiepie’s dogs is called Edgar Allan Pug? As in Edgar Allan Poe? That’s brilliant in my opinion. My lapdogs are named after lions as well so something ironic is good too. So if anyone is hella creative with names then throw them at me!

My mom is useless with this; she simply suggested Zazu. Don’t wanna name my bird something that unoriginal. I’m sure there’s a ton of pet birds out there named that xD

EDIT: My mom just suggested Pippi, as in Pippi Longstocking. So far, I really like that. It’s got pip in it (like the Danish word for the sound a bird makes) and Pippi is a fictional character the same way Kovu and Aslan is. So it’d stick with the theme I have with my dogs too xD

Evelyn Nesbit part 4 Nesbit and Thaw were wed on April 4, 1905. Thaw himself chose Nesbit’s wedding dress. Eschewing the traditional white gown, he dressed her in a black traveling suit decorated with brown trim. Newspapers announced that the new Mrs. Thaw was now the “Mistress of Millions.” The two took up residence in the Thaw family home, Lyndhurst, in Pittsburgh. It was at this time that Thaw instituted a zealous campaign to expose Stanford White, corresponding with the reformer Anthony Comstock, the crusader for moral probity and the expulsion of vice. Because of his activity, Thaw became convinced that he was being stalked by members of the notorious Monk Eastman Gang, hired by White to kill him. Thaw started to carry a gun. Nesbit later corroborated his mindset: “[Thaw] imagined his life was in danger because of the work he was doing in connection with the vigilance societies and the exposures he had made to those societies of the happenings in White’s flat.” It is conjectured that Stanford White himself was unaware of Harry Kendall Thaw’s long-standing vendetta against him. White considered Thaw a poseur of little consequence, categorized him as a clown, and most tellingly, called him the “Pennsylvania pug”—a reference to Thaw’s baby-faced features.
