Took my lovely grandma who I call mom and is really my number 1 mom to go shopping at her favorite store at Eco Thrift today for her early birthday. Truthfully, I had no energy or motivation to get reading done today. Jordan told me to take a break and asked if I wanted to run and get coffee. We did, and it lead to a total of four hours out of the house.

After coffee, we went to Ross to return something and I ended up finding some Fabletics leggings and two pairs of jeans that actually fit.

Then we went to EcoThrift just to look and I walked out with three tops and a knitted cardigan.

Now we are back home, and I have a shit-ton of work to do. But hey, at least I have energy now.

sometimes i lowkey miss being a freshman/sophomore just because i didnt give two shits about my appearance, i loved my bangs and thick glasses and collared shirts and sweaters. i enjoyed wearing the same thing every single day. but years later i find myself tearing my appearance down, i've never cared so much or been so upset about my appearance before. i find myself comparing my body to others girls, whether they're models or my friends, and i immediately get sad. i wish i had boobs. a butt. curves. ribs that didnt poke out and make me look "anorexic" as people say. cool stylish clothes. if you could just cut my body from my shoulders down to my butt, i'd love myself. i literally only like my face and legs LMAO EVERYTHING ELSE ISNT PRETTY OR ATTRACTIVE TO ME i know im pretty in my own way, and my body is too. i just wish i felt it more. someday i'll be able to wear just a bralette or a bikini or a tight crop top without wanting to wear a cardigan or flannel or jacket over it to hide my torso. but for now, i'll attempt to do booty work everyday and im slowly buying new and nice clothes from stores and ecothrift, so at least that part of my appearance is being improved!!! i'll get there soon, hopefully

this is real random because i have time rn before this math test but i saw a post recently in regards to thrifting and the whole selling aspect. as far as thrifting, shit gets real expensive shopping at racks and most times you dont find shit, but ofc, the bins are where it is at. well, i saw a post from @thethriftlord on ig mentioning how you have to make connections before anything and establish good relationships with others in order to build a following and more importantly, stay in business. also, he said that making a quick, fast buck is better than selling a piece at market price, and that throwing shit for steals is the best way to do it because 1) you build relationships, 2) you keep your buyers happy (OBVIOUSLY), 3) you learn about pieces rather than flipping them for big money, 4) you have return customers who buy multiple pieces for the low which end up making you more than 1 big sale. this isnt anything new to me because it is sort of what i do with the people i have met in this whole “vintage” game. im pretty sure those who i have done transactions with know that i try to support you by buying or i trade in your favor so you “win” the deal. i always try to keep relationships more so than burn bridges by being petty and bitching about the extra $10 you make. one of the replies he posted said it so well, and something he said was that, “you profit 100x more off relationships than you do off that extra $30 struggle to make” and yes, ITS TRUUUU. i wouldnt call myself an expert on any of this because im new to the game in all honestly and i have only been selling shit on ebay for maybe 3-4 years (didnt start by selling vtg, it was shoes n shit). nowadays, i see so many fucking people go to ecothrift or thrift town and buying shitty old clothes for crazy prices which are close to retail, or just basic shit thats overpriced, and looking from the outside, i have no issues with you thinking youre buying clothes for cheap, but its funny because of how stupid you people are haha. just my 2 cents.
