Alex fell to the floor with a yell, sending Jo sprawling the other way. Alex was clearly desperate, crawling towards Jo.

When she seeds Vasquez, she puts up a hand.

“… p-please,” she says, clearly out of breath. “Please. W-we need her. Kara… Kara’s dead without her.”

Susan’s aim didn’t waver from bizarro Alex’s pained form as she approached steadily, in spite of the trembling in her arms.  Reaching down to grab Jo’s arm, she pulled the fallen lycan away from the fallen woman.  

“No.  You have a wing...that is going to have to be enough for you,” she said, settling herself between Alex and Jo as she felt her heart breaking, “Now go...this is the only chance you get.  Or I will put you under arrest.  Johanna is out of your reach, Alexandra Danvers.  Push more, and I will kill you.”

Johanna leaned into the touch before she just gently head-butted Amaya’s leg, as if trying to get her attention. She suddenly backs up and starts trotting away, looking over her shoulder once before continuing.

The gesture was clear enough. Amaya got up. “Okay, lead the way, I guess.” She said as she followed Jo. Because really, what else could she do?

     Alex asks Jo to give her status reports every now and then, especially if she’s away and they haven’t seen each other in a while. Alex texts her about weapons and training schedules, and combat strategies, she asks her super deep 3am thoughts (if the pup isn’t sleeping with her that night).

Johanna suddenly appears in Mira’s flat. She seems injured. Her face changes a few times before she settles into a new face... the one from Emily’s days. She’s unconscious but wincing hard, clutching her stomach.

“Jo!” Mira yelled at once, rushing to the woman’s side. The change in the woman’s appearance threw her off temporarily, pain surging through her chest before the current situation brought her back.

“What happened? Jo what’s wrong?”

Alex walks up to you and sighs. “You’re a pleb, Kara, a super pleb,” She says simply before walking off, yelling at Johanna to give her the shiny new weapon she showed off earlier today. Alex can be bought with shiny weapons, confirmed!

“What? No, I’m not!” Kara huffed, shoulders dropping slightly as she watched her sister turn her back on her and walked away. “Bribing is cheating!” She shouted across the room at Johanna.

"Weren't you the one who was just encouraging me to trust the Danvers?" she arched a brow.  "I admit, I was assuming that it would be one of them that you would choose..." she trailed off with a faint frown.  "But regardless...I trust you, which is what matters."

Johanna growls at the demon. “What’s yours? I know you stole an Alex’s soul in another time. This one’s mine, and I don’t share.”

A sigh, and she rolls her eyes. “I don’t steal. I’m not some petty thief. If I have her soul, it’s because she wanted something badly enough to give it to me. Everything I do is consensual.”

Jo stretches out a hand suddenly, and Cat is back in the bar, having been teleported back in by Jo.

“How… /d a r e/ you?”

Jo looks hurt and angry and just incredibly upset. “Thick skin? You’re telling /me/ to have thick skin? Do you even-“ Jo looks at Kara. “Does she EVEN understand? What I’ve done in the thousands of years of being around? Is she really this… this defensive?”

Jo looks back at Cat.

“Child, if you knew.”

Jo huffs.

“Can you please just stop being a dick to Lycans?”

Cat blinks, the momentary surprise quickly smothered by something practiced--easy--hand falling to cup a hip as she sucks in a sharp breath, orienting herself. “Well this Lycan just phased me up like Scotty me while drunk. Honestly, didn’t you ever watch any 80′s afterschool specials? Don’t drink and mess with...temporal dimensions or whatever little science mumbo jumbo that little hand of yours does. I’m not the one defensive enough about my sensitive disposition to call me back here. What exactly did I say to make you sob into your margarita like a good housewife of atlanta, exactly? That you shed? I’ve been called and heard far worse in the two seconds I was outside perusing my twitter feed.”

Johanna is quick to move and accommodate the new body… right before sneezing and shifting into the wolf. She whines loudly. “It huuuuuuurts,” she whines, nuzzling into Vasquez. Cue a barrage of sneezes and a few shifts to boot.

Susan settled in with her, gently coaxing Johanna close so she could run her fingers through hair and fur alike as her form jumps back and forth.  “I know, Jo,” she said softly, “Try to relax.  I’ll be here the whole time, so try to get some rest, okay?”

Probably every other day? Unless Alex doesn’t sleep at home that day or she’s bringing a date home. No, it doesn’t really change Alex’s routine because she always makes Jo part of her routine.

Johanna suddenly appears with angry winds and weather and a storm of life energy around her and she’s growling and there’s hellfire and it’s the whole nine yards. Jo smiles. “Break Mama’s heart and I’ll not only destroy you, I’ll destroy your entire world and rip your life force from your body. I swear to the Goddess.” This is the shovel talk.

“Can that happen to a person more than once?” she asked with a slight smirk, sadness temporarily overcoming her being. “Maybe if you had given Emily the same talk….” she broke off and sighed, regaining her composure with a sniff. She nodded and saluted the wolf, a grin curling the corner of her lips. “Warning noted ma'am. I wouldn’t dream of it, I assure you.”
