But one day I will write something about Sins of the Wreckers, and how I like to think that Tarantulas curing Verity from her radiation sickness was both a Massive Snub at Prowl for seemingly tossing away everyone once they're no longer useful to him, (including this wonderful organic who is risking her life to fix his mistakes) and also a Huge peacocking thing (aka Look Prowl, aren't I still so smart and clever?? Look, I fixed your useful organic, remember when I was useful??)

The whole thing boils down to Tarantulas, essentially bringing a bouquet of roses back from the dead for Prowl. Unfortunately for him, Prowl has the emotional availability and intelligence of an amoeba, thus rendering it a Moot Point.

i'm really curious, if you have any interest in talking about it: do you have an opinion on how you think *prowl* sees verity?

Oh boy

Soooo I think originally Verity was merely a "side character" to Prowl's "main character" vibes, and he didn't really give her much thought beyond 'what small tasks can this human accomplish for me' but then she got the Aequitas data and threatened him, and I think THAT made him realize that not only can humans be Occasionally Useful, but they can absolutely outsmart a Cybertronian.

All in all, Prowl might hold a begrudgingly respect for Verity, if not a little fear for what she nearly did to him.

Like yeah "your conjunx" would be close, but it's a different brand of own that just doesn't capture the same energy as "your mom". It's not a one hit KO, "your mom" is in an entirely separate level of diss and Rodimus can never use it properly on account of there Not Being any moms

Like clearly it was A Thing, you can see bits of it in the comics, but was it a Wide Spread Thing is the question, like the yawn and stretch move.

GOD I didn't even think about how Ostaros would be included in that projection when it comes to Tarantulas.

Here is this thing, it's smaller and weaker than Prowl would like, but it has potential, and Prowl is just throwing it away in Tarantulas' eyes!! He won't put in the full effort to fix it because if it's not immediately Perfect for his needs then it's not worth the time of day. Just like Ostaros, just like Verity, and just like Tarantulas. So of COURSE his bitter, petty side is going to latch onto that and throw it in Prowl's face.

'You couldn't see how much potential this thing has, and I could. That makes me better than you, and doesn't that sting?'

Also, that line about "Do you not see? This is what I was capable of too, Prowl. Giving life, instead of taking it." How many potentially life saving, life Making inventions did Mesothulas have in the works that was deemed Not Worth it for Prowl?? How many weapons did Mesothulas make, hoping Prowl might just listen to an idea that involved creation?? How many times was he brushed off before he just decided to Make Ostaros and deal with the consequences later?? (the creation may have been a monstrosity, but any creation is going to be Meso's baby, let's be real)
