Fortunately he has a good friend in Fringilla. Inspired by Whump Week in August (Chapter 1), Whumptember (Chapters 7 and 9-11) and Whumptober prompts (Chapters 7-11)
Excerpt from chapter 10:
"How are you feeling?" Fringilla asks when Cahir wakes up late the next morning. He sits up with a grunt and gazes around bleary-eyed and disoriented.
"Um - okay, I suppose," he says after a moment of hesitation.
"Cahir, don't try to fool me," Fringilla reprimands. "You look far from okay. Actually, you look awful. It's okay just to say 'I'm not okay', you know."
Cahir sighs. Of course, Fringilla would not simply accept his answer and drop the subject. He feels pretty awful, too, whacked, knackered, and confused. He knows who and where he is and the dull ache in his shoulder and hand vaguely remind him of why, but otherwise his mind seems to have gone blank, like filled with wool instead of conscious thought.
"What - What happened to me?" he asks, hating how embarrassingly shaky and pathetic his voice sounds.
"You don't remember?" Fringilla raises her eyebrows. "You were having a bad migraine, Cahir," she then explains. "Has it passed? Or do you need more of Francesca's potion?"
He shakes his head.
"No, I'm fine." It is true, too. His head does not throb or ache. Perhaps this brain-fog and grogginess are aftereffects of the potion? If it helped with his migraine, it must have been some extremely potent stuff. No wonder he feels like he is only semi-awake and all run down.
"Prove it." With an inviting smile, Fringilla holds a bowl of barley gruel out to him. Instead of taking it, though, Cahir stares at her. 'Prove it', those were Emhyr's words before, before— Suddenly, it is all back again, the Cintrean guest room, his nervousness, the taste of wine on his lips, the expression of disbelief on Gallatin's face after he stabbed him in the throat with his dagger, the horrible, gurgling sounds his dying friend made, trying in vain to breathe while choking on his own blood, the huge puddle of blood on the tiles, the blood on his blade, on his hands. He starts to tremble.
"Shit, Cahir, that's what Emhyr said to you. You told me." Fringilla puts the bowl down and takes her friend's hand in hers. He flinches at the touch.
"It's me, Fringilla, not Emhyr," she says, giving his hand a firm squeeze. "Cahir, look at me!"
He blinks repeatedly. Then he takes a shaky breath an nods.
"I'm so stupid. I didn't want to remind you of him. I'm so sorry, Cahir," Fringilla apologises.
"No, no, it's - it's not your fault." He swallows. "I'm sorry, I'm such a mess. I thought that I was getting better, when we were preparing for the coup." He swallows yet again. "I - I need to do something, Fringilla, or I'll be going crazy."

(Feel free to ignore!!) Reader is working at court (maybe a cartographer or something) who has worked with Cahir before he was sent away to these raiding parties. Both tried to remain professional (feelings? They? Love is for children) but when he returns, Reader is the one who goes & finds him? Fluff-ish? (You can take it in any direction you‘d like. Your work is fantastic!!! Thanks so much for carrying the Cahir fans on your back. By yourself)
ahhh thank you so much love!! i hope more people start writing for him i think there's only like three or four of us!!! hope you like this one :)
You refused to look up at the intelligence officer as you continued to erase from your draft.
“Where to this time?” you ask, scrubbing the northern part of the Yaruga river from the landscape.
“Thanedd,” he says, his voice just barely above whisper.
“Thanedd?!” you lose your composure, looking up at him a moment before grounding yourself.
“Thanedd is having a lot a visitors lately.”
He only hums, not at all buying your nonchalance.
“Thanedd it is,” you muse, sorting through your folders for a suitable map that isn’t too well used to hand to him. You pass several until you find your own personal map of the island, like you always do for him. It’s easy to find and you pull it and toll it and pass it to his hand, all without making eye contact. You ignore the warmth that floods your hand when his fingers graze yours.
“Thank you, darling,” he says, the closest thing to an affirmation you’ve gotten from him, yet so much more bold than anything you’ve said or done. Nilfgaardian courts aren’t exactly the safest place to be, especially when your position in it is so precarious. Other cartographers could easily be better trained, better trusted, but Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach vouched for you specifically and you weren’t about to destroy you credibility for falling for the officer.
He leaves without lingering though, sparing you from doing something foolish.
The interaction is something you can banish from for only two days, however, because then you start to hear whispers on your way to the new stronghold in Cintra. Whispers of the mages all coming together, whispers of the elves and their army as well…
It feels bad, a pit sinking in your stomach as your riding party starts to ride ahead of you as you slow your horse without even thinking of why.
Thanedd really isn’t that far from here, maybe an eight hours ride…
And Cahir has your personal map of the island. He’s the safest he could possibly be unless the worst happens.
Knowing Cahir and his luck lately the worst will happen, you think to yourself, pulling on your horses reigns.
Fuck it, you think, and then you let your horse and your heart lead instead of your brain.
You come upon a field haggard and tired, your horse just the same, to a landscape reeking of blood and smoke; a scent that hadn’t filled your nose in quite some time. A Nilfgaardian soldier alone and elves closing in on him. The events must have gone worst than you thought if there is fighting even out here, on a part of the island rarely gone to, you think. You put two and two together easily. It’s not that you give out maps that are incorrect, just, you only give out ones with the relevant information. You save the complete ones to draw upon and make pretty as a personal art project. Like the one you handed Cahir before he left that would definitely have this side of the island detailed out.
Fuck.
“Hey! Hey, stop!” you shout, all while urging your horse on despite its own fatigue. The elves stop in their advance, but do not retreat, and you can finally confirm your instinct that is is Cahir. He looks shell shocked, without his weapons and without his helmet. When his gaze meets you his eyes are wild and sad, not the serious and sometimes flirty man you knew.
“You… you came,” he calls out to you, and you dismount your horse quickly to rush to him.
“Stupid man! I had to,” you yell, not hiding the fear or anger from your voice, but then you soften, your hands finally placing themselves on his armor. He’s here, he’s not dead yet. You both might be soon. Why not throw all practicality into the wind if you may be executed by the elves on horseback mere feet away?
“I needed my map back.”
“I was always going to return it,” he assures you, his arms rising to brace your own.
“No you weren’t,” you insist as the elves close in, Cahir once their commander now lost all faith in him.
“I was,” he insists, and surges forward to kiss you. It’s like time stops, and everything in your life and on this continent falls into place for just a moment; his lips on yours and clear skies painting the future.
And then you’re ripped apart from one another by the elves.
You don’t resist.

Glynnis aep Loernach
I've never been much of a fan off Gwent, either in The Witcher III or as a separate game (and some of the story content they've put out has...choices made). But I like mining it for not-actually-OC's, like this one here.
From the wiki:
She loved every soldier like a son. She cried for each one. Glynnis aep Loernach was a young officer within the Ard Feainn, a cavalry division within Nilfgaardian Army. It is unknown if she took part in the Battle of Brenna, where her unit was defeated.
From an upcoming chapter of The Sins of Fathers:
“Have you seen the terrain south of the lake? Open land largely, good cavalry country. They try that we’ll cut them to pieces,” Brigadier Glynnis aep Loernach was a tall and pale woman, her black hair falling down her back in multiple tight braids, her accent betraying the highlands of Mag Turga.
“Risk? Were either of you at Brenna?” Neither man responded. Morvran, who also had not been anywhere near said battle, also didn’t speak. “Because that’s what happened at Brenna. Someone fucked up the reconnaissance and the whole army got slaughtered.”
“I know,” she sighed, “General I’m not looking for revenge on any nordlings. I’m only looking to make sure that when we have to go up there, and we will have to go up there, as many as possible will come back alive.”
“So do I.”
“I know general. That’s why it pleased me to find you in command. We all know of general Voorhis, the man who likes to win without fighting.”
Morvran smiled faintly, “Were it so easy.”
“You and the empress will find a way general. Till then, we hold the line.”

my muses except i assign them to loose leaf tea flavors i currently have in my house
please read my posts about tea i have kind of what my detractors might call an obsession.
apple cinnamon french toast - currently my second favorite tea. delightfully sweet and bold, has a strong smell and a rich taste. i would assign this tea to roland fortis!
savannah sunrise - citrusy but not too strong, a very clear and vibrant tasting tea. it's new to me so i haven't had much of it. i would assign this tea to ty lee!
lavender raspberry honeybush - a very subtle but rich fruity tea, easy to brew and drink at any temperature. i would assign this tea to cahir mawr dyffryn aep ceallach!
blue lady grey - very strong and unique tasting, sort of not what you expect upon seeing it but a very memorable tea. i would assign this tea to roy mayrana!
tangerine ginger - extremely flavorful but VERY heavy on the ginger flavor. if i drink it in the wrong mood it feels sort of like i'm being attacked but i actually like the way it looks and smells a lot. i would assign this tea to stella!
peach ginger detox gold - actually very good, has a more muted flavor than you'd think but the low brewing temperature means it's easier to drink fast. the ginger is also not noticeable in here. i would assign this tea to pleasant clemens!
pacific peppermint - smells almost exactly like a candy cane. tastes like a very muted candy cane. actually very good for a dessert or afternoon tea in my opinion. i would assign this tea to aurilis ayeva!
earl grey supreme - a plain tea but actually quite good as far as earl grey goes (i am an earl grey fan though). i would give this tea to mukuhara kazui.
decaf earl grey - i didn't honestly like this one that much, it was bland and taking away the caffeine is kind of detracting from earl grey in general ... i would assign this tea to vernon roche! because that man does not need to be more wired than he already is all of the time.
caramel toffee pu-erh - a VERY sweet tea with a very long brew time, but i really enjoy it as a dessert. i would assign this tea to luminous!
white cherry - it smells exactly like cough syrup. the taste is fine but i can't get over the cough syrup thing. i would assign this tea to five pebbles to help with his rot. feel better soon five pebbles!
apricot white - a VERY very good and light white tea, it's very appealing to look at and very nice to drink. i've been debating ordering some more of this. i would assign this tea to dandelion!
chocolate covered strawberries - it was alright. it actually didn't stick out to me really at all. i would assign this tea to benjamin clemens!
pomegranate green tea - a very strong tea, the pomegranate flavor really comes out and i usually drink this before my friday dnd! for that reason and because it looks a lot like blood i'm going to assign this tea to cyran azerrad kapral!
elderberry fortress herbal tea - it's a good tea and one of the only actual medicinal teas i have in the house. genuinely like it, but we save this for when we have sore throats or allergies. i would assign this to ankita culathene!
houjicha - a VERY VERY VERY good japanese green tea. my favorite tea we currently have. it's moderately sweet and nutty and amazing and i drink it almost every sunday night before bed. i would assign this tea to yanna lazaros!
moringa tulsi - why is it spicy ................ i would assign this tea to jet!
international breakfast tea - my best friend. he's like a brother to me. very plain and slightly bitter but i drink this tea every morning for breakfast. i have an industrial sized bag of this tea so i can drink it every morning for breakfast. very high in caffeine. i would assign this tea to shirogane kei!

I find it so very satisfying to think of the Thalmor as a Celtic uprising in an ideal world, colonising the English (Nords) right back. Feels like divine justice.
To finally be stood on top of the world, looking down as you crush a former empire beneath your boot, reeling from the realisation that for the first time in history, you’re the one doing the fucking.
You’re watching the people who fucked your country over for millennia getting absolutely rawdogged by life. You’re getting high on the fact that they can’t even tolerate themselves, leaving the door wide open for you to rip everything out from underneath them.
You’re absolutely ecstatic thinking about destroying their saints who wormed their way into your pantheons. You want to make them regret ever invading your home in the first place, even if you’ve had to wait this long. Perfection takes time.
Your revenge needs to be perfect, needs to be ice cold, and by the gods, you’ll eat your cake and have it, too.
And that’s what I channelled into Caerwyn aep Caderyn when I created him. To create a warlord, you’ve got to think like one, so I took a matter deeply personal to me, and blew it up to a planetary-level scale. Think about what you’d start a war over, and blow it up.
It could be that you’re LGBT, and you would pull an Achilles to be with the one you loved. You’d destroy all of Greece if it meant you could have your Patroclus.
Or, it could be something as minor as wanting to wage war on people who prefer barbecue sauce to ketchup. Make the barbecue sauce the most heinous, disgusting thing you can think of, and begin strategising how you would convert the barbecue sauce lovers into ketchup lovers, or how you would disguise yourself as a ketchup lover whilst slowly adding more and more barbecue sauce to the ketchup supplies until everyone’s drinking barbecue sauce. I don’t know. I don’t particularly care about either. I prefer curry sauce.
My point is, revenge-based strategy is easy once you force your brain into the right balance of emotion/logic. You gotta really sit down and have a conversation with something that enrages you, and feel that rage before you lower it to a simmer whilst you begin planning. But never turn the rage off. Keep it on the back burner. You’ll need it when considering what will enrage your opposition. It will help you remember what they did to you so you can use it against them. You can take their plans and improve them by making them 1000 times worse, and making sure that they work.
And while it may be tempting to show up in Skyrim like
“I didn’t come here to make friends.” 👹👹
Nope. No, that’s exactly what you went there to do. You went there to make friends so that you can gain their trust and more easily deceive them.
Boethiah inspire me, Mephala cloak me, do you see where I’m going with it?

Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) Registration API: Simplifying Payments with JustForPay
In today's digital world, secure and seamless payment systems are crucial for businesses and consumers alike. The Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) is a revolutionary solution that uses Aadhaar (the unique identification number in India) to enable secure transactions. With the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) Registration API offered by JustForPay, businesses and service providers can easily integrate AEPS payment services into their platforms.
This blog will delve into the benefits and features of the AEPS Registration API from JustForPay and how it simplifies payment processes for businesses, merchants, and customers.
What is AEPS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System)?
AEPS is a payment system that allows financial transactions to be authenticated through an individual’s Aadhaar number. It empowers users to carry out banking transactions using their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Whether it’s cash deposits, withdrawals, balance inquiries, or fund transfers, AEPS provides a secure and convenient way for customers to access banking services directly from service points like retail stores, agents, and business establishments.
How Does AEPS Work?
AEPS operates on the Aadhaar number and the associated biometric data of the user. Transactions are carried out through the following simple steps:
Customer Initiates the Transaction: The user provides their Aadhaar number and authenticates the transaction through biometric verification (fingerprint or iris scan).
Bank Authentication: The bank verifies the biometric details with the Aadhaar database to authenticate the transaction.
Transaction Completion: Once authenticated, the transaction is processed, whether it's a withdrawal, deposit, or transfer.
Why AEPS is Important for Businesses?
AEPS has become a popular solution for businesses because it eliminates the need for physical cards and PINs, reducing the risks associated with traditional payment methods. With AEPS, transactions can be made easily and securely using Aadhaar-linked biometric data. The key advantages for businesses are:
Cost-Effective Transactions: AEPS offers lower transaction fees compared to traditional banking systems.
No Need for Physical Infrastructure: AEPS doesn’t require POS machines or card swipes, making it an affordable option for small businesses and service providers.
Secure Transactions: The use of biometric verification ensures secure and fraud-proof payments.
Financial Inclusion: AEPS enables access to banking services in remote areas where traditional banking infrastructure may not be present.
The JustForPay AEPS Registration API
JustForPay is a leading provider of digital payment solutions, and their AEPS Registration API is designed to simplify the AEPS integration process for businesses, financial institutions, and payment service providers. By integrating this API, businesses can offer AEPS services to their customers with minimal effort.
Key Features of the JustForPay AEPS Registration API:
Simple Integration: The API is easy to integrate into any website or application, whether you’re running a small business or a large-scale enterprise.
Secure Biometric Authentication: The API supports biometric authentication for users, ensuring that every transaction is verified securely.

How to Switch Your AEP Ohio Electric Supplier and Save!
New Post has been published on https://www.ohenergyratings.com/blog/how-to-switch-your-aep-ohio-electric-supplier-and-save/
How to Switch Your AEP Ohio Electric Supplier and Save!
How Do I Switch Electric Supplier
We’re right around the corner from a chilly winter season. That means more homes are cranking up their heating which also means high electricity bills. But you may be able to shave down your bills if you shop and switch your electric supplier. But how do you switch suppliers? When should you switch? What can you expect when you switch? Let’s dive in and figure out how you can switch your electric supplier and save.
Why Shop Electric Rates Today
Doesn’t it seem like bills keep rising, even if you commit to saving more energy? In fact, US energy customers use about 2.83% less energy between 2015 and 2023.
Despite this, utility bills have spiked by 27% or about $40 a month. In addition, utility rates have also risen by about 23%. These rate spikes affect the distribution portion of your bill, which means that everyone MUST pay it.
Thankfully, you may be able to offset these spikes on the supply portion of your bill. All you have to do is shop for the cheapest electricity rates.
How Do I Switch Suppliers?
Switching electric suppliers is an easy 4 step process.
First, check your bill for the price to compare, then jot it down.
For example, the AEP Ohio price to compare is 7.7 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh). Most Ohio homes use around 811 kWh of energy. This means a monthly supply charge of around $67.
Next, check out energy suppliers and compare their plans and rates to the price to compare. For example, you might discover the Public Power Electric 12 Month Fixed Rate WITH MRC plan. This plan charges 6.09 cents per kWh or about $49 supply charge a month (Nearly $20 less than AEP Ohio). After you find a company you like, give them a call and ask about switching.
Before you sign up, be sure to reach and understand the contract and Terms of Service. Be sure to look for mentions of early termination fees and what happens after the contract ends. After you sign up, you’ll receive a confirmation notice from your utility and the energy supplier.
Then you’re all set!
Best of all, your new rates remain in effect for the entire length of the plan. This means that you can hold onto savings, even if prices rise during the winter and summer.
When Should I Switch Suppliers?
Most of our energy comes from natural gas. Factors including the weather and supply constraints keeps the natural gas market in flux. So it’s hard to predict the perfect time to shop. However, there are a few rules to keep in mind.
First of all, natural gas prices often rise or fall depending on demand. This is because of the need for summer cooling and winter heating. As a result, prices tend to drop during the more mild months (March-May and September-early November).
The industry calls these the “shoulder months“. Try to lock in a 6 or 12 month plan during the shoulder month seasons. That way you have the best chance of keeping cheap rates all year round!

Understanding the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) API: A Comprehensive Guide
In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital payments, the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) has emerged as a revolutionary solution in India. By leveraging the unique identification provided by Aadhaar, AEPS facilitates secure and seamless transactions. This blog will delve into the details of the AEPS API, its functionalities, benefits, and how it’s transforming the way we conduct financial transactions.
What is AEPS?
AEPS is a payment service developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) that allows users to make transactions using their Aadhaar number and biometric authentication. It aims to provide basic banking services to people, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, where access to traditional banking services is limited.
Key Features of AEPS
Biometric Authentication: Transactions are verified using fingerprints, ensuring security and reducing fraud.
Interoperability: AEPS enables transactions across different banks, making it a versatile solution.
Inclusive Financial Services: It promotes financial inclusion by enabling unbanked individuals to participate in the digital economy.
AEPS API: An Overview
The AEPS API allows businesses and developers to integrate AEPS functionalities into their applications and platforms. This integration enables users to perform a variety of banking transactions seamlessly.
Core Functionalities of AEPS API
Balance Inquiry: Users can check their bank account balance using their Aadhaar number.
Cash Withdrawal: AEPS allows users to withdraw cash from their bank accounts through micro-ATMs using biometric authentication.
Cash Deposit: Users can deposit cash into their bank accounts using AEPS-enabled devices.
Fund Transfer: The API supports fund transfers between bank accounts through Aadhaar-based authentication.
How AEPS API Works
User Authentication: The user provides their Aadhaar number and biometric data (fingerprint).
Transaction Request: The request is sent to the AEPS server, which verifies the information against the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) database.
Bank Verification: Once authenticated, the request is sent to the user’s bank for processing.
Transaction Completion: Upon successful verification, the transaction is executed, and the user receives a confirmation.
Benefits of AEPS API
Enhanced Security: Biometric authentication significantly reduces the risk of identity theft and fraud.
Cost-Effective: Businesses can reduce costs associated with cash handling and branch operations.
Accessibility: AEPS promotes financial inclusion by providing access to banking services for unbanked populations.
Scalability: The API can be easily integrated into existing platforms, allowing businesses to scale their operations effortlessly.
Use Cases of AEPS API
Microfinance Institutions: Facilitating easy withdrawals and deposits for clients in remote areas.
E-commerce Platforms: Allowing customers to pay using their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
Retailers and Merchants: Enabling small businesses to accept payments directly from customers' bank accounts.
Conclusion
The Aadhaar Enabled Payment System API is a game-changer in the digital payments landscape, making transactions more accessible, secure, and efficient. By integrating AEPS into their platforms, businesses can offer enhanced services to their customers while contributing to the broader goal of financial inclusion in India. As the adoption of digital payments continues to grow, AEPS will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of financial transactions.
Whether you’re a developer, a business owner, or a tech enthusiast, understanding the AEPS API can help you navigate the evolving world of digital payments and leverage its potential for your needs.
