Mega Man Muses!

PiXEL (Rockman X DiVE)

Gender: Female

Bio: PiXEL originated from a modded copy of Mega Man X8, where someone attempted to transfer the data of the game into the Deep Log. Which resulted into The models of Alia, Layer, and Palette fusing into one. Which became PiXEL. PiXEL decided to finish the deed of all of the modded copy of X8 into the deep log by spawning more than enough enemies from X8 to the point where she made the deep log crash on everyone. She used to be an antagonist to the point where she was convinced over by RiCO, iCO, and ViA that spawning more enemies than usual is not a good idea. Which she became another Navigator to assist the player.

PiXEL also jumped back into her old modded copy, and brought her “pet” with her. Her pet is a dark blue version of the Crabs-Y Mechanaloid, named Crabs-X.

Main Weapon: Saber light fans

Personality: PiXEL is normally very quiet and prefers talking only when she sees necessary. She has helped the player a few times during their missions, and she seems to be good friends with iCO. And they share cups of tea together.

Gender/Pronouns: They/Them

Cause Of Death: Shot to the stomach by a bamboo missile by Maverick Hunter X.

Height: 5’11”

Personality: Sobbing tears of oil, Optic Sunflower is extremely vengeful and protective of the abandoned training facility, Troia Base. They’ll attack anyone and anything that crosses their path, and you can’t change their mind.

Gender: Male

Cause of Death: Blasted in the eyes and facial area by Maverick Hunter X.

Height: 6’1”

Personality: A blind loner, he is called. Those who dare invaded the abandoned Pitch Black Facility have encountered this spirit before. He behaves by moving erratically, asking if you know what a Maverick is, and what had happened to him. He screams that those who enter his facility will have the same fate as him. His high pitch shrill screams have scared those away. He is assisted by other ghosts to calm down his rage, and to help with his sight loss.

Name: Bamboo Pandamonium

Gender: Male

Cause Of Death: Was burned until his circuits exploded by Maverick Hunter X.

Height: 15’9”

Personality: The ghost of Bamboo Pandamonium lives on in the afterlife, serene and peacefully wandering. He is vengeful of the Maverick Hunters, though. As some trainee hunters have claimed to see the ghost of this giant Panda Reploid with burnt circuitry wandering and staring them down from the woods as they rode on ride chasers to training arenas. Bamboo Pandamonium only rarely ever speaks, as his voice box was burnt alongside his internal pride. Which he speaks with a crackly microphone.

Picking Burn Rooster's stage first is certainly an unpopular choice but in order to get the armor parts I want as soon as possible without backtracking it's necessary.

And honestly? I actually don't mind this level

Yeah it's an autoscroller, but unlike Duff McWhalen's stage in X5 it's a FAST autoscroller where you have to make split second decisions and platforming in order to stay alive.

Yeah it can get irritating, and that last section after you've beaten the boss is wholly unnecessary, but I can't call it boring

The middle part is a bit eh, mostly because the camera really doesn't help you to see incoming spikes as you're climbing or sliding down but overall I think it's a decent level!

Earthrock Trilobyte's stage is fine, although a bit too simple in structure. It's actually this game's main farming spot for currency,a s that robot drops Metals every time you shoot it.

Gigabolt Man O' War is the first of this game's 2 Ride Chaser levels and it's....eh?

Its main issue is that it's a bit messy in design and on your first playthrough you'll probably not even know what it is you're even supposed to do.

In reality though you can end this stage in less than a minute by constantly boosting, collecting energy capsules to keep your boost meter full and shooting at Gigabolt as much as possible. So not a particularily good level but at least you can get it done very quickly

Gameplay wise X is the same as always, and I'll talk about his armor system at a later time

Axl has seen an enormous improvement: now not only does he have a rapid fire by default but he can also shoot in multiple directions.

His hover has also been improved, now he stays locked in place in midair for a bit whenever you jump and shoot which really helps with positioning

His rapid fire is also the best and safest way to knock away enemy barriers

His copy shot is back as well and....it's still far from the best thing in the world but at least it's been given a couple of cool niche uses which I'll show in the next video

Zero is also much better than in X7...but he has issues

I don't know whether it's his animations being a bit slower or maybe enemies' hitboxes being larger but I always get hit when trying to fight enemies as Zero, much more than in previous games (except X7).

I think part of the reason is the controls: X8 has good controls overall but they generally feel a bit...looser than previously? Like the characters have much less weight to their jumps which, coupled with the taller character models, makes precise positioning trickier, with precise positioning being key to Zero's playstyle

I'm not saying he's bad here, just that he's my least favorite of the 3 starting off

If you're good at exploring you can get a certain something for Zero which completely turns all these issues on their heads. You'll see

So X8 has some new designs! And they tend to be pretty devisive between fans

Personally I think that the designs themelves are fine enough, they're generally pretty minimal with the characters just looking slimmer overall. Some fans like to se this as a connection to the Zero series, as a way of showing that technology is starting to get closer to that of that series. It's a nice thought but as far as I'm aware the only reasoning behind these designs that's ever been is that they wanted the characters to look somewhat like action figures, maybe in order to make them easier to animate in-game.

I think the main issue is the artstyle, the way the characters' faces and eyes are drawn looks a bit...off? Like it's clearly trying to be the usual X series artstyle while also being different

I guess that Alia's got the most substantial redesign, with loose and longer hair (which is a reference to a flashback scene of her in X6) and....well bigger boobs.

Not as big as Layer's though XD. Ok look, far be it for me to criticise a female character for looking conventionally attractive but I...kinda wanna know what was the thought process behind those underboobs XD

I mean I guess the design is fine on its own, but when you consider that Layer is supposed to be this super serious and professional navigator who is also very shy and timid...I dunno I get the impression that the design and characterization came from two completely different places if you catch my drift?

Also yeah Axl is a prototype for these New Generation Reploids

Axl's origins were never touched upon in X7

X8 just decides to drop this info in a way that the characters, Axl included, always knew about this matter of factly

No explanation for why Axl was on his own in X7 before meeting Red of for why he wasn't even aware of his powers' origins in that game

I guess it was all resolved off screen between games?

I guess they probably didn't wanna dwell too much on X7's leftovers? But at the same time by making Axl a Prototype for these new villains, and especially due to how this game ends, he should be pretty damn important and yet the plot doesn't really focus on him in any way even when that hanging plot point from X7 gave them the perfect excuse to do so.

EARTH

I am grateful to have had this wonderful learning opportunity at EARTH. I am grateful to have been able to go to EARTH, and after having heard the stories of the students (such as Norman and Blake) I am grateful that my life is with much less conflict. I am also grateful for the great learning opportunities I had at EARTH, as I learned a lot about farming and agriculture, how to use everything on hand to create good fertilizer, and how innovative and creative a person can get to make a productive farm. I also learned a decent amount about livestock, such as that baby pigs do not like to get picked up, and neither do sheep, and that sheep in Costa Rica do not have any wool to give, which isn’t very surprising. Also, if given the opportunity, baby cows will try to eat your hand, but will fail due to the lack of teeth, also they produce a surprising amount of saliva. And bulls are smarter than cows, in the way that they realize that they can get past the fence that they are in. It was also fun to work with the different students on campus and to work with my fellow classmates on the compost farm. It was also a good way to refresh our memories on how to make compost in this manner as we have had experience in the matter a few times. It was also necessary to collaborate during free time, for example when Andreas set up the soccer tournament, he needed the collaboration of all the classmates, and when we went to the River, one person (in this case me most of the time on the big jump) caught the rope and passes it onto the person that was using it next. This trip will be useful in future agricultural experiments and endeavors as I have a very good memory of how to make a) compost out of green grass, dry grass, and feces and b) how to make good planting soil out of coconut husk, rice shells, and carbon. I will also use the knowledge that I have gained to create a better hydroponics system for my group's science project.

Mega Man X8 AU

So I got an Idea for an AU for Mega Man X8.

The X8 Roster, But they're all Family, and Lumine is their little brother. And they are all Mavericks.

Just to Clarify, in this AU, Optic Sunflower is a Female, not a Male.

Here's all the Characters!

Lumine - Youngest brother, adopted into the family, and is the director of the Jakob Project. He had always dreamed of building an Elevator to the Moon. Gravity Antonion got interested into this idea and helped design and build the elevator. It was named, 'The Jakob Orbital Elevator'. Lumine is 14 years old in this AU.

From Oldest to Youngest siblings:

Gravity Antonion - In this AU, he is 28 years old. He loves Space, and is an Astrophysicist. He has been studying stars and space, and was apart of the NASA research team, before leaving by thinking his coworkers were selfish and rude, and he agreed on helping his younger brother, Lumine to build the Jakob Orbital Elevator.

Optic Sunflower - In this AU, she is 27 years old. She has programmed and built the Troia Base training facility herself, and due to the name origin she chose for Troia Base, Troia originated from Trois the French Word for three, she grew interested into learning French. She has been learning French over the years, and used to train new Recruits. She grew bored of this, and got more interested into more difficult training programs, and changed it to Safety Mode off. That way, New Recruits could die to her more easily.

Bamboo Pandamonium - In this AU, he is 25 years old. He is a wise Rocket Scientist who worked in China at a rocket facility, and worked with a Company called Boeing, and they were in the process of building advanced rockets, before their facility had been shut down. Bamboo Pandamonium returned to the facility after fleeing for a few years, and stayed at the facility. He tried fixing the old rockets, and was deemed a Maverick. He decided to attack people in Revenge, and set off some of these rockets.

Avalanche Yeti - In this AU, he is 24 years old, despite sounding like a 35 year old Man. He loves talking about the weather, and is fascinated by Meteorology and Arctic and Antarctic animals. Especially King Penguins. He has a collection of Stuffed animal penguins in his room!

Dark Mantis - In this AU, he is 23 years old. He is in charge of the Pitch Black Facility In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and has been defending the weapons stored there for emergency purposes. He never really speaks, and a rivalry has start between he and his oldest sister, Optic Sunflower.

Earthrock Trilobyte - In this AU, he is 21 years old. He is an Advanced Miner, used to working down in the mines, and commonly walks on all fours to sniff out minerals in the ground in a faraway distance to mine towards it. He has a best friend relationship with Gravity Antonion, helping out with delivering useful minerals.

Burn Rooster - In this AU, he is 19 years old. He loves Martial Arts, and works in a Recycle Facility where Useless trash is crushed and destroyed, while Helpful materials are reused to make advanced things. Burn Rooster didn't believe in the idea of the Jakob Orbital Elevator, and thought the idea was just Lumine's idea, and Lumine needs to be more serious with his ideas. But he was convinced by Optic Sunflower to change that opinion.

Gigabolt Man-O-War - In this AU, he is 16 years old, despite sounding like a small child. He is childish on the outside, and is really playful. Especially asking Lumine if he'd like to play games.
