"That old warmth he'd had with her was gone, perhaps forever..." NO IT CAN'T BE. DON'T SAY THAT JUST WHEN YOU'RE STARTING TO BE CUTE DANGIT.
"He laughed with Juras, and put his arm round her." SEE? CUTE.
"The twinkle in her eyes deepened." OH COME ON YOU'RE STILL SO TOTALLY INTO HER. YOU CALLED HER AN EMPRESS LIKE 2 PAGES AGO.

Turlough finished Juras’s sentence. It was just a simple phrase but I’M GETTING RATHER ATTACHED TO THESE TWO. I HOPE SHE DIES.

Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma
The fluffy bits are killing me. I need 100 jealous Turloughs please. He’s so darn cute.
‘He turned from the scene and looked at Juras. She was standing in front of their guide, a man approaching middle age but still looking as if he could actively wield the long sword carried by his side. With the rays of the setting sun behind her Turlough saw her as more beautiful than he could ever remember. She was wearing a long dark dress she must have obtained locally, with a mauve sash running from one shoulder to the waist on the opposite side. Her long hair, only partially brought under control during their rest at the settlement twisted and curled, as if joyous of its new found freedom. Her cheeks had been reddened by her experience of intense cold followed by the exposure to the sun. Her blue eyes stared straight past him as if examining something in detail. In all she looked more like an empress than someone just abandoned on the most out-of-the-way planet in the galaxy. Turlough reflected once more how she had ever become interested in him - why she had actually bothered to follow him, track him down, stay with him. Sudden pangs of jealousy welled up in him. If he was not careful, she would go with one of these hardy men, geared to survival on this utterly uncivilised planet stuck in the middle of nowhere.’
'Juras turned and looked too and as she did Turlough seized the opportunity to hold her hand. She looked at him surprised but did not resist.'
'Juras moved ahead of Turlough but still contrived to keep her hand in his. He could feel her trembling slightly and perceived a need to act in a more protective way, guarding her perhaps, although as yet he was not sure what from.'
