#delete later#love to give myself more work!!#also turns out this method of shading does make it easier#earlier i figured id have to manually shade every color by picking and tweaking the color to mimic the flat-ish anime shading#buuut i figured out a shortcut: the shading and lighting is done in monochrome in an overlay folder#highlights (red)=light grey and shadows (blue)=dark grey#gives the shading just enough color without looking too bland#(the rule of avoiding to shade with black etc)#the greens are just metallic guides for myself#no clue if they actually do it like this in anime production i never bothered to check besides seeing animation cels#works for me tho#since i wont be animating anyway#and always look for shortcuts in drawing#works well enough for this specific style#i feel like im gonna need to simplify the shading either way#it seems like too much detail#i have no idea what im doing if it isnt clear enough
