Here is my size 18 body on the beach. My beach body. It’s the one I was given, and it’s the one I have. It’s the same one I have hated and loved back and forth throughout my years but it’s mine and I love it. 

I’m not going to talk much about it because every time I do I get angry about it. But the recent adverts in the UK causing so much anger about “are you beach body ready?” is just annoying. Personally the posters themselves don’t really bother me (they are a company trying to push products that are trying to make people lose weight, and some of the time they are aimed at people like me. Hell, I even have a protein world product sat in my room!), but then again I’m only one person and I get that there will be different views for different people. What I do not agree with is the horrendous attitude of the CEO of protein world and whoever is running the twitter account. They are rude and I find their attitude to be absolutely appalling. But that’s my opinion.

I think anybody and everybody should be able to enjoy the beach, being size 6 or 26. Your body is under your control, anything you do with it is up to yourself and if you want to change it should only be for you or your health. You want to go to the gym to shed a few pounds? you go do the best workout that gym has seen! You want to sit and eat a burger? You sit and enjoy every single bite. I might not be the best at writing and getting my words out but I’m sick and tired of letting people tell me how I should look/weigh/be. The only person that’s going to tell me that is my doctor.
