The thing people don’t understand when trying to assign other characters TMA fear entities is that not everyone is going to be an avatar. Sometimes they’re just a guy. Sometimes they’re a guy that collects spooky books. Sometimes they’re a guy that’s been marked by an entity but not fully an avatar. Sometimes they just saw something spooky. Sometimes they’re worshipping an entity but aren’t an avatar. There’s a lot of things and sometimes a guy just isn’t even involved with the whole thing

#I could also go on abt how the avatar process is more thematic and symbolic rather than quite literal #like e2 god joel (as an example bcus I know empires) I might give him the Web (as a god he controls things even free will) or flesh #(1 he’s way too large 2 some ppl headcanon he’s turned Jimmy into a toy)#I wouldn’t choose vast bcus he’s far too much of an ego and believes he’s actually important #no he’d def b web w his lore bit #oli is either the spiral or he’s just a guy #e2 Shelby would be the buried to me #u have to go with the symbolics and metaphors and get the entities Vibes #it’s not like it’s just an empires thing only or like it’s a big issue there I just know those characters well
