It's one of those things Fannar wouldn't dare ask for, let alone initiate himself; he wants to, oh how he wants to — but it's like a mental block. Milda knows this well enough by now, he thinks, although he is also trying to get better about reaching out himself (to very limited success, but he's trying).

The blanket he's spent the past couple of hours curled up under is lifted momentarily, and he blinks up at her. Milda gives him a little smile as she comes to settle in beside him, and he makes as much room for her as she can. She then reaches her arms around him and, with some adjusting for them both to get comfortable, he drops his head to her collar. "It's freezing," he exhales, voice half-muffled by the blankets.

‘Oh… oh, look at you.’ Meriset couldn’t help herself, reaching small hands up for only her fingertips to reach Milda’s cheeks with comfort and without her stretching onto her toes. ‘Sweet girl, you are divine. Whatever Gods you worshipped; you certainly had their blessing.’ The small woman beamed, bringing her hands back to herself and clasping them together at her chest. ‘Had I of known I was visiting an angel, I would have bought favours.’ She joked, laughing shortly before letting a sigh fall past grinning lips. ‘You are Milda, yes? Is it cold out? I do not have the right clothes for this climate, I’m afraid.’

I am sending this to thank you for coming by the consulate last week, and joining me for a wonderful lunch in Tsim Cha Tsui. Your kindness is noted and remembered, and our conversation was certainly engaging. Of course, you are always welcome in Hong Kong whenever the mood possesses you to come, and I am always willing to provide you with the best hospitality my city can offer.

You are a thoughtful ally, and your support for my city is also not unnoticed. I shall continue to support you in any way I can, and may both our futures continue on towards the brightest.

Sadik’s smile was kind as his honey eyed gaze watched the Latvian and nodded; though she was slightly taller than himself, there was a very obvious difference in the musculature between their builds though they were man and woman respectively. The Turk was much more suited to carrying heavy things than she was, and really, it was no trouble at all. She was struggling and that wasn’t right.

  Saima gives an understanding tsk in response. “Oh definitely. The trying to get you to open up. Like listen.. you know full well you don’t want to know what I’ve been through. What I’ve experienced. You don’t even care about like that.. stop trying.“ They had been deeply annoyed by previous attempts for people to get them to open up.

It hadn’t quite worked. It was only something that they could do on their own time once they actually had a feel for what a person was like.

While she isn't exactly a glutton for sweets, watching baking competitions greatly interest her. Especially if they take place in real life. Milda sat watching the competitors bake the ideal cake, whilst waiting for the countdown. "They are entertaining. Also, I'm curious to know what they're capable of...Being a cafe owner myself." Her calm, blue eyes watch the contestants racing against time.

Milda knows kitchen work is no joke. Although one can find peace if they were to visit her cafe, it takes many efforts to provide that kind of ambiance---to both workers and customers.

     "Aren't they? Leave it to humans to turn anything into a sport." As a good-for-nothing in the kitchen, and an avid appreciator of sports, he can appreciate the unlikely combination. And he supposes there is an element of national pride in it, too. After all, it is the Great British Bake-Off.  Only when Milda mentions her cafe does it occur to him that Milda might have more productive reasons for enjoying such an event.

    He could recall that she owned a café, yes, but was always quick to assume that anyone who owned anything didn't actually work _at_ it. There were other people who could do such tasks. "Ah, do you bake at your café? Next time I find myself in the region, I should visit. I’m not usually one for sweets, but I can appreciate a nice café." And indulge in some baked goods, every once in a while.

He stifles a brief cough into his scarf, but then tugs it down a little bit with one hand so he can smile shyly. His other hand is held out — an invitation.

100% tongues. I think she had stubbornly fought to learn how to use a sword before. But she just doesn’t enjoy physical fights much. ON THE OTHER HAND, she loves a good roasting session. Refer to this list of French insults and you’ll get part of her colorful language lmao.

Part of the reason she fights verbally too probably is... And this is vain, but she wants a pretty, elegant, dancer kind of body. She finds flaws attractive in others, less so in herself.

023. What do they consider beautiful in others physically?

Justine is very open minded on beauty! She loves unconventional beauty, like the kind you see on high fashion runways. Though unconventional doesn’t need to have high cheekbones or even be exactly beautiful to count. And she likes to share when she thinks someone is goodlooking, even platonically. 

Besides unconventional beauty, she likes the little details. Moles, noses with bumps, overgrown eyebrows, etc. She even likes how a lot of older people look, seeing wrinkles as a kind of ‘line art’. So the short answer is that it’s so broad it’s hard to define LMAO. Though I think strong noses are one of the main features she notices.

090. How bodily expressive is your character?

Not in her arms and hands that much. But definitely in the face.  A favorite of hers is the “I don’t know and I don’t really care” from this blog.

She’s more likely to express discontentment than excitement.  But when she’s happy about something, it might be reserved to a “est bien, la” (it’s good here). Took that perspective from this interesting article about how French culture encourages more living in the present, as opposed in the future (where “excitement”comes from)

Fighting to keep his voice steady, Xiang clears his throat and straightens his suit. He tugs at the bottom impishly; it was hardly a secret that he had just come back from a long, drawn out screaming match with his eldest brother. Despite at his attempts to seem calm and collected at that time, his reddened face and fiery eyes were a telltale sign of his fruitless attempts to douse his own inner flame. 

He avoids eye contact with Milda, so as not to unintentionally shoot her an angered glare, however he felt as if his eyes were piercing enough to burn a hole through whatever surface his gaze fell upon. He nervously runs his hands through his bangs, allowing them to fall back steadily over his eyes as if that had any possibility of hiding his emotions. 

“Are you thirsty at all? Would you like some tea? Perhaps some coffee, maybe?” He dares make an attempt to look at her, putting in his best effort to appear at east. Anything to distract from the current situation.

As a Christian, Krystyna understood and respected the virtue of diligence quite well.  Certainly, it was always a pleasant sight to see those in her charge putting great focus and care into their work...to all except the part of Krystyna’s ego which was offended that the girl was so engrossed in her work that she had not noticed the young Polish woman’s entrance.  However, Krystyna quickly realized she could appease her frivolous wounded pride through one simple act.  Slyly, the young state entered the room as if she was walking on eggshells.  Barely daring to even breath, she glided across the floor, praying that the other would keep her eyes on the task in front of her as Krystyna inched closer and closer.  When she finally closed the gap between them to the desired distance, she spoke suddenly with a smirk that she did not even try to conceal.  

❝ Now then, I do hope that you haven’t gotten yourself into much trouble since the last time I came.  It would be terrible if I had to give you a scolding. I’d much rather have this be a pleasant visit. ❞
