⚰️ ―――― IT WAS ANOTHER NIGHT OF THE FULL MOON AND JUST AS IT HAD BEEN FOR MONTHS, TYLER WAS A SLAVE TO IT ONCE MORE. he didn’t have any recollection of what had occurred on the previous night; only clues he was left with were the facts that he was naked, covered in blood, dirt and grime, in the middle of the woods. one was only able to assume that something tragic went down and the thought of him possibly hurting someone innocent began to plague his mind with shameful guilt. he had to find out if he hurt someone; especially if that someone was someone that was a friend, someone he cared for. when he stood up, looking around to see if his clothes happened to be anywhere in the general area, he heard @dynastymuses 's voice. he swallowed thickly, nervous about what she could possibly be thinking witnessing him in this vulnerable and seemingly dangerous state. the wolf was no longer in control but his emotions were all over the place; it was hard for him to keep himself grounded. he covered his private parts with both his hands, shaking where he stood,     “     elena, it’s  ----  it's not what it looks like. I don’t remember what happened. i was chained up in the lockwood cellar and the next thing I know, i’m waking up out here. i’m so lost  [  ….  ]     ”    he pleaded in a quick ramble, hoping she wouldn’t think he’d ever hurt her. he knew it’d be hard to convince her otherwise but he hoped that their long friendship and everything they went through together would be enough to tell her that he was no harm to her.

tyler smirked at jeremy ❝guess little gilbert has grown up❞ he teased. he had always known him as elena's little brother, and the other guy vicki was interested in. maybe he was different now, or he had the wrong idea. heaven knew, everyone had their own ideas about tyler. he tried to show them he was better, but some would always see him as that jerk jock who was the mayors son. he nodded ❝she's doing, well as well to be expected.❞ he had heard his mom crying a few times at night, but she was nothing if not a polished politician's wife and put on a brave face.

⚰️    ――――       EVER  SINCE  VICKI  HAD  GONE  MISSING  AND  WITH  ALL  THE  WEIRD,  SUPERNATURAL  OCCURRENCES  THAT  WERE  HAPPENING  IN  MYSTIC  FALLS,  JEREMY  HAD  FELT  MORE  ALONE  THAN  EVER.  elena  had  always  been  out  with  stefan  or  someone  else,  he  didn't  have  a  single  true  friend  around  that  cared  for  him  more  than  just  the  drugs  he'd  provide.  he  found  himself  in  a  strange,  unsuspecting  friendship  with  tyler  lockwood.  the  pair  had  never  gotten  along  to  begin  with  because  of  their  macho  pissing  contests  but,  for  some  reason,  they  had  found  themselves  bonding  over  vicki's  disappearance  despite  their  mutual  dislike  for  one  another.  as  much  as  jeremy  was  confused  by  it,  he  welcomed  it  because  it  was  much  better  than  being  alone  in  a  dark  room  wondering  what  he  could've  done  differently.  now,  he  had  someone  to  do  that  with.  they  spent  a  lot  of  their  nights  together  drinking,  playing  games,  and  bonding  over  things  they  didn't  think  they  had  in  common.  until  one  night,  their  bonding  had  become  more  intimate  than  they  ever  thought  it  would.  they  had  maybe  one  or  two  more  drinks  than  intended  and  those  drinks  had  granted  jeremy  the  courage  to  do  something  he  didn't  think  he'd  ever  desire  to  do.  they  were  sitting  next  to  each  other,  playing  some  video  game,  when  @dynastymuses  had  taunted  him  over  it  and  it  caused  an  overwhelming  urge  to  erupt  from  jeremy.  it  didn't  take  him  just  a  split  second  to  lunge  at  tyler  and  smash  his  lips  into  his,  passionately  holding  onto  that  kiss  and  cherishing  the  complete  feeling.  after  a  long,  lingering  moment,  jeremy  pulled  back  and  looked  at  tyler  in  the  eyes,  noticing  the  look  of  shock  he  wore.        “      i'm  sorry   —   i  just   [   ....   ]   come  on,  you  can't  tell  me  you  haven't  thought  about  it.  i  was  just  doing  what  we  were  both  thinking        ”     he  insisted,  chuckling  and  hoping  to  brush  it  off.  he  wasn't  sure  how  tyler  was  going  to  react  to  this  sudden  revelation  but  he  was  hoping  it  wouldn't  be  a  punch  to  the  face.

🩸 ───── she understood completely what drove tyler, and whatever anger he held towards klaus was completely justified she would never tell him otherwise. what she did not want was for him to challenge klaus and …. never come back. there was no guarantee he’d win that fight, how many times had they tried to kill klaus and not once had it ever succeeded. he lived on, why waste more time on him when they finally … finally had space to breathe. “klaus is gone, he doesn’t deserve anymore of our time. of your time, tyler. please.” she whispered. they’d had something and every time they tried to make it work something tried to get in the middle but that didn’t have to happen this time. “he’s not worth it, he’s gone…he’s gone.”

⚰️  ――――        TYLER  WAS  CONSUMED  WITH  SHAME  AND  GUILT  AND  OVERWHELMING  CONCERN. every  day  he  cursed  himself  for  triggering  his  werewolf  gene,  now  having  to  live  like  this;  an  unwilling  slave  to  the  moon  only  to  go  through  an  overbearing  amount  of  terrifying  and  agonizing  pain.  he  wished  he  had  never  bothered  his  uncle  about  this  curse  and  their  family's  history.  he  wished  he  had  just  kept  to  himself  and  pretended  like  he  had  never  found  out  about  anything,  but  there  was  no  sense  in  living  in  the  past,  he  couldn't  change  it.  he  had  to  live  in  the  bed  he  created  for  himself  with  no  end  in  sight.  he  was  grateful  when  elena  came  closer  only  to  help  him  up,  get  him  covered,  and  reassure  him  that  she'd  be  there  for  him.  their  friendship  was  that  of  a  lasting  one  and  he  knew  he  could  always  count  on  elena  to  have  his  best  interests  in  mind;  just  as  he'd  do  the  same  for  her.  he  nodded  slowly,  still  worried  he  might've  hurt  someone  vulnerable  and  unknowing.  he  didn't  want  to  be  that  kind  of  wolf;  he  just  wanted  to  live  in  peace.        ❛      what  if  i  did  hurt  someone,  elena      ?     or  worse     ?     are  we  just  going  to  pretend  it  didn't  happen  and  it  was  some  other  animal  attack     ?       ❜     he  asked,  feeling  his  anger  bubbling  up  inside;  his  misplaced  anger.  he  wrapped  the  blanket  around  his  body  tightly,        ❛      i  can't  just  pretend  i  didn't  kill  someone,  i  can't.  i  can't  keep  doing  this   [   ....   ]      ❜     he  pleaded,  his  voice  cracking  and  tears  beginning  to  swell  his  eyes,  causing  them  to  glisten  with  sorrow.  he  turned  away  from  her  and  silently  cried  to  himself;  all  of  his  emotions  were  beginning  to  pour  out  at  an  alarming  pace.  this  was  only  the  second  time  he's  changed  under  the  full  moon;  how  could  he  do  a  lifetime's  worth  of  this?

elena knew tyler, she knew his heart, and his mind. he could be a bit of a jackass, he could be cocky, but he was not a monster. he didn't take pleasure in hurting someone. if he had a choice, he wouldn't have hurt anyone in this way. she squatted down next to him, giving him a blanket. she nodded sympathetically ❝tyler, i know you don't have control when you are the wolf. you don't have to explain it to me.❞ she helped him up ❝the cellar is back there a bit, lets get you back, and figure out what went wrong ok?❞ she couldn't imagine having no control of a being that could kill anyone that was inside of you... tyler wasn't a monster, and in truth neither was the wolf, it was just a part of who he was, and it was going to do what it would do. ❝we'll keep this to ourselves until we know more.❞ she'd trust stefan, but not damon. he didn't trust werewolves, and she would not allow anything to hurt tyler.
