everything i'm about to say specifically applies to the bob written by @fyrewalks bc i know you're asking about them and not just bob and bradley as the duo in canon.

bob and bradley both have a lot of stuff they hold close to their chests, they're very guarded people, even if bradley appears much more obviously emotional at times. he likes to be open and share, but it doesn't mean that he's really giving up that much of himself or his experiences when he does that. he does a lot of talking without really talking, if that makes sense. bob is just generally quiet, and his family experiences also have resulted in him sort of holding to himself much of his life and experiences. that being said, they are both very full of love. bradley has a lot of love to give, and so does bob, and it's part of what bradley enjoys about bob. there's someone who has so much love and walls of his own that also gives him a space to sort of be himself and start to bring those walls down. bradley is curious about bob-- he wants to see beyond his walls, and he is willing to drop his own in exchange for the love.
