Editing #therainbow #spiritofeden by #talktalk - the #tribute - OMG OMG OMG! During two seconds I heard #markhollis ‘ voice, I forgot it was NOT Mark Hollis, #dylanmckenzie ‘s voice is so close, by looking at my face at that same moment on the screen, it seems that I had the same feeling while #shooting my #video - Feeling very disturbed by the situation, am I meant to live among the #ghosts? On this second tribute it’s even more obvious than on the first one. Shaking on my chair, I need a glass of water and to gather myself. What happened to me the day I came across Mark in my life? #derdeverde settling on the #stage - I admire these guys doing what they have to do to give us 20 minutes or so of their #music - I know how hard it is to have myself carried more than once gears and more, or arts and crafts supplies to do my demonstrations all around Paris and far suburbs. #nofilter yes the #light is still blue, same #show @ the #lovesongbar in #dtla - As much as I love electronic guitars and crazy psychedelic moments, I also love #acousticguitars and lovely moments like this one. #derdeverde is playing here #abovetheflood which will be on their #newalbum #slowlight to be released in this coming October. I love how just #dylanmckenzie and #jonathanschwartz are playing it here by a very simple, minimalist and #acoustic way. If you like this, go to check their video at the #hammermuseum in 2010 the #microconcert as part of the #machineproject that year. I think it is the most adorable thing I have ever seen! I’ve been wanting to talk about it since months because if that is not love of music, I don’t know what it is! And they play a song that I don’t know, I would love to hear it again. A snippet of #desire #spiritofeden #talktalk #markhollis played by #mirrorman including members of #derdeverde - you must understand that Desire has never been played #live so they had to invent everything for the live as what was made in studio is absolutely impossible to reproduce on stage, to understand why, check #phillbrown ‘s #book and you will see that how they did the album #spiritofeden was absolutely insane, certainly not doable #onstage but here #mirrorman managed to do it amazingly in spite of the difficulty and I’m impressed by #dylanmckenzie ‘s #performance as it is so hard to sing too! You loved it so much, I had so many messages from you and from all over the world that I am giving you here a little snippet of #ascensionday #laughingstock #talktalk #markhollis yes, we have kind of another Mark Hollis here, his name is #dylanmckenzie as everyone is asking, and his band is usually #derdeverde - but here he is also with other #musicians and they called themselves #mirrorman - This was the first #tribute they did on May 23rd not long after Mark passing. That night, I didn’t know what to expect and I ended up in a #talktalk #concert for the first time of my life. It was actually a #tribute to #markhollis but listen to #dylanmckenzie ‘s voice, yes there is something very similar to Mark Hollis’ voice, during a few seconds, I thought that Mark was there with us. Since that day, I cannot stop seeing similarities between the both which is somehow surprising, confusing, also exciting is another way to put it. On August 26, they do it again and even more. Will try to stay zen and film like a true professional, but I am already overwhelmed in advance. What a gift they keep giving us!
