hey Goofy Math Soviet, what is calculus?

legit, it wasn't necessary for graduation at my school so i never took the class

Basically, it deals with integrals and derivatives, which is tough to explain but I can try.

Remember in earlier math you learned about slope? You know, y=mx + b? If you don’t recall, a slope is basically how steep a line is. Now if you’re looking at a straight line, then it’s pretty easy to determine the slope. Just look at how steep the line in question is and boom. There ya go.

For example take this red line up here. Every time it moves to the right by 1, it moves up 2 and vice versa. So this line has a slope of 2. Simple, right?

But what if we have a line that isn’t as straightforward? Like this curvy boy down here

What’s the slope of this line? A little tougher because how steep the line is different depending on where you are on the line.

That’s where derivatives come in. A Derivative will tell you what the slope of a line is at a given point in time. For example, at the dead center of the graph, the curvy boy has a slope of zero (since it’s flat right there). Once it hits the first square to the right it’s already reached a slope of 2. And at the second square, it’s reached a slope of 4!

How do I know this? Well because I have played you! The red line we looked at earlier is actually a graph of the derivative for the curvy line! So you can use that one to determine how steep the curve is at any given point! So like at -2, the slope is -4, etc.

Integrals are simiar, but in reverse, where you take a look at a derivative and draw out what the original would look like.

I’m being super reductive right now for obvious reasons but thats the bread and butter of calculus. You can do some really really wacky things especially with integrals and as you get further into calculus you use detivatives and integrals to do some dark magic. It’s pretty neat.

Exactly!! The longer I'm around the more I think everyone has some kind of baggage to work through, the difference between a clinical diagnosis is severity and which symptoms from a checklist they match. Somebody who only checks off 3 of the boxes but is still suffering is just as worthy of compassion. They may not warrant a formal diagnosis but maybe talking to someone or consuming some mental health resources can make things better and destigmatize seeking help for everyone

Back at it again with my md bullshitery.

I have so many of these fuckers it’s not even funny.

-An asshole through and through.

-Thought of his squad mates as useless, ESPECIALLY DZ.

-Eventually gets rebuilt. DZ and DY have thoughts about this.

-Lost his status as leader after DZ and DY killed him.

-Once cracked DZ’s visor.

-Not at all sorry for how he treated his team.

-Was the one that killed the pleading family which made DZ go cold turkey on worker oil. And also traumatized her.

-Begrudgingly works with DY (cuz she dealt the final blow).

-Still tries to kill workers, but DZ isn’t as scared of him as she was, and picks a fight with him.

-One of his eyes is permanently switched to an X.

-The “J” of his team.

Papa’s Pizzeria DX just came out! Here are my thoughts so far. Please note that I was never very good at the original Pizzeria when I was a kid.

I haven’t played very far in, but my chief complaint is the spacing of customers. I feel like I can never get one pizza in the oven by the time the next shows up, and my wait scores SUFFER because of that. A couple of other games in the series had that issue too, but I’m hoping that once I get in the groove that it’ll get easier. That’s not to say it’s a HUGE complaint, mind you. It’s pretty small in the face of all the things I LOVE about the game. My number one suggestion to new players is, USE YOUR DECORATIONS! Especially in the beginning before the holidays start, decor is your BIGGEST ally if you want better wait scores.

Again, I wasn’t good at this game as a kid - I absolutely sucked at toppings and slicing. Putting slicing guides in has helped A LOT with that part of the process. It will take a lot of patience, but once you can afford them, they’ll help you out SO MUCH. I’m not much a fan of the saucing/cheese mechanic, but once you have the timing down, you’ll ace it almost every time. If you were already good at, say, making bubble tea in Sushiria, you’ll have little trouble with this. It’s the same exact mechanic.

It’s a pretty great remake so far - I LOVE the modern QOL improvements and especially the pizza truck. I would definitely recommend it if you’re a fan of the Gamerias. It’s less than $5 USD right now!
