keep note of your favorite usopp artists and determine the route you wanna go in, cartoony, realistic, 2000s style, play around with facial expressions . draw him from memory and then do a side by side ref of your favorite image of him

i think the eyes look good but it depends what you want him to look like , might be throwing you off that usopp has small pupils, try and see how he looks like w/ that

I’m no usopp expert I literally just draw an oval, draw a panicked expression, and slap a nose on it BUUTTTTT this is just some stuff that helped me get into a rhythm/style (I would recommend Pinterest but the amount of borderline racist and whitewashed art and just weird shit in general ☹️☹️☹️☹️ STILL THERES STILL GOOD ART just that most of the good art is already from tumblr 😦)

what I think is great about usopp design is that it lets you have fun he’s a really shape-y character I can make his curls just bumps or I can make it sharp and zig saggy, idk if that make sense😭😭

Something I think I should drop in and say after scrolling way the hell back to find out what happened is that this will pass. It’s kind of harsh to say, but the internet has the attention span of a goldfish and as soon as it’s done dragging you it will forget. That’s really unfortunate in the big picture for obvious reasons, but these accusations don’t hold any water to begin with, so they’ll fall by the wayside and be forgotten due to the fact that they can’t be backed up. You make a point to discourage minors from following you and do a good job of reinforcing it, but there’s only so much you can do. There’s no way to verify age, and kids sure do love to lie to people online.

That said, I don’t think anyone will blame you if you deactivate and start from scratch again to avoid the potential stain. The internet is forever, no matter how short its attention span is, so I think it’s completely understandable to not want those accusations on your image. Just tag me somewhere if you do, ‘kay?

Whatever you decide to do, I say it’s best to think more about how you’re going to move forward rather than getting hung up on how distressed and angry some kid has made you.

It’s very much a thing of “someone wanted me specifically to write something, and I’m beyond honored and wanna do that for them” and then when it takes a couple months I always feel kinda bad about it, but I know I’m trying my best and that this is a hobby. i just saw your latest post about posting a max work and i was so confused until i went on your account :( i’m so sorry you’re being attacked for simply saying that they shouldn’t constantly attack someone who is not actually involved in f1 for supporting another driver in a tweet that was posted years ago. Sure the situation was pretty messed up, but at the end of the day max gained his FIRST championship that day and Virgil is from the same country, so it is not surprising that he would be happy for him! (this is not a rant btw dw but i’m going to put this under read more bc i am going to Ramble)

Oh gosh-- where do I even begin. It’s just thoughts btw, don’t worry. nothing explicitly bad happens other than I think it’s one of those moments where I’m finding myself stuck in a quicksand of work, no money in my bank account and a ton of other obligations and I just kind of want to expedite everything so i can get to the meat of the bone of what I feel like I should be doing with my life; aka my comic endeavours. 

I get like this when I’m like either rapidly losing will to just live or when I feel that weird surge of passion for my dreams again. Don’t get me wrong; I always have this drive to achieve my dreams of making comics, it’s just with how bad the past few years has been for me, you can say I’m just a little battered and bruise so I get tired when I do get time to like.. invest into making this come true, you know?

I think the thing that is hard to explain to my peers is how much having a big families naturally leaves you with a very small window of energy to expense on everything else. Like, you’re either out of tangible resource by the end of situations (i.e money, time etc) OR you’re just REALLY REALLY tired emotionally and physically that you spend that ‘free time’ recuperating just barely up to normal, only for you to be hit with another cycle. 

It’s just a natural sort of state because there’s just so many people in your family, you know? And I think this goes all around, no matter if you’re the parent, or the eldest kid or the youngest or in the middle-- its like the general energy you have to expense for simply keeping up or upkeeping a large family is just naturally taxing. That can often leave you feeling like you don’t really have time for anything else, including dating or your passions. Which is why, I feel like to choose between the two, I’ve chosen on career / goals because at least that can be monetized and thus adds to resources in the family, y ou know? @__@ 

So I often feel a little sad when I find myself thinking about my dreams and aspirations. It’s also why it really peeves me when I see via osmosis that people try to shove it down my throat that there is a time-limit for these things. I know there isn’t but it feels so tiring to fight against everyone who’s so insistent that once. you’re above 27,  you’re like dead or something lmfao. 

Like, I’m at the stage in my life where I don’t have marital commitments, not even dating commitments. I have no babies to care for except for my siblings and even then the burden of paying for their schooling is not on me completely due to circumstances. It’s by all means, not as heavy as if I was to have my own kid and family. I should, by right, be able to at least expend 30% of my time to just...... work, right? Work on my skills, my career... fix the parts of my life that my parents couldn’t afford to because Im not the only kid right? I should be able to give me those things. 

But I often find myself not quite like that @__@ and that’s discouraging. I definitely refuse to point the blame on my family for this-- I think because even if I did feel that way, I can’t change them. It’ll literally do nothing. It took everything I had to team up with my siblings JUST to get my parents to be OKAY with the idea of family therapy. I can’t expect anything else than that, you know? 

I guess I’m also feeling the pressure of how these past few years, though I was given the choice to choose my vocation. of study (because of our family volume, we’re each given 1 shot only), that my parents have started putting the subconscious pressure that because I’ve ‘failed’ in their eyes in my career (failed, not because I don’t HAVE a career, but because it doesn’t pay as much as they might’ve thought), that my siblings have to suffer for it.

And the feeling that I might contribute in making things MORE difficult for them to pursue their passions; a priviledge I feel I had when I was their age, that tears me apart. And I dunno. Maybe that pressure is what makes me feel like I have to fix this. I have to make money so much that they stop putting undue pressure on the kids... 

But man.. I suck working through that kind of pressure.

Deadline pressure? sure. Societal pressure? sure. But man, pressure from my parents? I just get stumped. 

It’s one thing if I’m like doing it and it’s just not working, you know?  Then I know that’s more of a ‘i’m probably not a good fit for this job so i better make this a hobby than my main gig’ sort of thing... But man, I haven’t even gotten the CHANCE to do it. I’m still WHEEZING trying to get to the starting line ): and i don’t know. that bums me out. I’m just out here constantly clawing, begging for a chance... 

It’s also the end of the year, i think that’s also another reason why I’m thinking about it alot. I mean, with each passing year, I take it as a checklist of ‘have I done enough?’ and boy.. look. I know A LOT happened in my family/personal life that took away a lot of my energy and attention these past few years but man, I feel like I should do better. 

I KNOW i’m good at making comics, at telling stories. This is where I belong. I love it. I love being able to express my thoughts, ideas and try and get into the conversation with my peers about the world, about how we view each other and issues-- i love all of that. I can be proficient at this, I can feel it. It’s like a fish in water-- I WANT to be able to do more with this so so bad....

I just ... I just want to be strong enough to just claw my way out of financial debt and this self-pressure, this familial pressure.... community pressure to JUST.... DRAW. I just want to draw. I just.... want to earn while i draw.

aaaa i dunno.. I mean. Every year, I try to have some healthy level of expectation with my career-- more like with producing Leupus.. Maybe I just need more grit.. Just grit to get myself through the disappointments, the stalled projects, the ghosting from clients and getting sick for two weeks and worrying about being behind on bills... Just grit to dust it all off, focus on my work and get back on track. But every year it feels like it’s getting worse...

GWAH. i can do this.. i can. I know i can. Maybe tonight is just not a good night. I just need to get into bed early and just chill. Reset and tomorrow will be a better day. We’re not giving up. He comes across you late at night in the forest, far away from your village, alone but clearly not scared. You’re screaming at the night sky, foolishly trying to summon an ancient power that you have no business messing with. It intrigues him though, and he makes his presence known to you. If only so he can entertain himself with the silly human girl who thinks that she could even stand in the devil’s presence without her skin getting seared off her bones. 

“Be careful who you call for, girl, or he might just answer.” A deep, alluring voice speaks up and you whip around to face its source, coming face to face with a silver-haired human-like creature.

You stare at him with both fear and confusion. You didn’t think the devil would look this...ethereal. 

“Are you the devil?” You venture uncertainly and he laughs a low, hoarse laugh. “No, darling, you wouldn’t be alive right now if I was.” 

Quickly, your moods flips, your short-lived fear replaced by the all consuming anger once again at having this creature waste your precious time. “Then what do you want then? Fuck off.” You spit out and go back to trying to summon the devil. 

In a second he’s behind you, a hand clasped over your mouth while his other arm loops around your body to stop you from waving your hands around in an abysmally incorrect incantation. You struggle against his hold but seize your movements entirely as soon as he presses his fangs to your neck. 

“There. Are you going to listen now?” He whispers, dazed as the smell of you hits him. Damn, you smelled good. Maybe he should sink his teeth in you and forget about whatever foolish attempt you were making.

But then you bite his hand. You bite him, and he’s so shocked he actually lets you go. 

“Fuck off, you filthy blood sucker. I refuse to die by your hands so go find some poor, frightened woman to suck dry. I have things to do.”

He stares at you in bewildered awe, infinitely amused by you. “You are trying to summon the devil. You, a mere mortal. It would be a waste to have him burn you alive before I get to have a taste, don’t you think? If you are going to get yourself killed anyway, why not let me do it? I can make it feel good.” 

You sneer at him in contempt, refusing to be discouraged by his fear mongering attempts. “I’m not going to get myself killed. I’m going to kill them all, and if you don’t get out of my way, I’ll kill you too.” 

That makes him let out a genuine laugh, something he hasn’t done in years, and he’s glad he didn’t kill you right away. “Ok, I’m going to humor you and say you can kill me, what then? Who are they and why do you want them dead?” 

Irritated at his continued disrupting presence, you ask, “If I tell you why, will you leave me alone?”

“Depends.” He shrugs, and you groan. The smile never leaves his face, you are just far too entertaining. “Maybe I could help you.”

That gives you pause, and you size him up, trying to decide if he can really help you or not. 

Apparently, you decides that yes, he can, and go on to tell him all about how your neighbor’s wife accused you of being a witch because she was jealous her husband lusted after you, and planted evidence to convince the whole village that you really were a witch and they were going to burn you at the stake if you hadn’t escaped. 

“That bitch.” You growl, fire burning in your eyes once again. “I’m going to carve out her husband’s disgusting cock and feed it to her.” 

The vampire smiles, “Is that why you were trying to summon the devil? To get revenge on your neighbor and her husband?”

“To get revenge on the whole village. I want them all to die suffering for what they were going to do to me. They deserve to burn like they were going to burn me.” Your anger burned so hot that the vampire came to be almost convinced that you really had the power to face the devil himself and will yourself to not be burned. In all his centuries of living, he has never seen someone so stupidly fearless and so insanely passionate… just looking at you made the cold blood in his veins run a little warmer, and that’s when he decides that he has to keep you for himself. 

But first, he had to win your affection, and he knew just how.

First you'd have to specify which one of the movements appeals the most to you. There are more tame ones (mori kei for example), and ones that will make you look like fabulous eyesore.

For starters [I'll oversimplify here a bit probably], here's some I'm familiar with

• decora - fuckton of stickers, hair accessories, glitter, colors, funky textures & silhouettes. I'd compare it to scene in the west, although less edgy, and detached from music. Can be considered a playful, even childish in overall aesthetic.

• menhera (sickly cute) - hospital aesthetic (needles, pills, bandages etc), very dark undertones expressed in a very sweet, pastel way. There's also a character, Menhera-chan. The comics abt her are on tumblr!

• lolita - modesty over all, depending on type diffrent prints will be used, some types are more simple, some are complicated, full of frills and bows. General rule is that the dress/skirt silhouette should either be a cupcake or A letter (petticoats and hoop skirts are used to achieve this)

• gyaru - despite looking very male-gazey at first sight, it's a rebellion against beauty standards in Japan. Gals (aka women into gyaru fashion) are tan, have either platinum or dark blonde hair (sometimes with colorful extensions)(also brown hair are quite popular but not as much as blonde). The hairstyles are massive, as well as their nails. Clothes are very y2k - animal print, pink, white, black are the most popular colors. There's also a specific type of makeup they do.

• vkei - it's not easy to define, it refers to both music and fashion, and neither have strict rules (none at all tbh just be edgy, that's why I love it lol). The best way to get an idea of what it is is check out vkei bands and the MVs (to see the clothes the bandmen are wearing). Start with The GazettE, Dir En Grey, Malice Mizer. Oh and to see the more modern examples maybe also Mejibray and Kizu. Also check out clothing brand called sex pot revenge (funky name ik)

When it comes to how to start collecting and wearing the clothes. Um honey uh. It is difficult. I'd discourage buying from amazon or ali (unless it's just accessories), ESP WITH LOLITA DON'T EVER DO IT. I personally thrift, then DIY stuff. I've discovered that closet child (a website, can be easily found via google), aside from good deals on lolita pieces has sick vkei stuff as well. Etsy is also a good place to start, but I think it's better to thrift and DIY since it's cheaper, and if you find out it's not your style, you'll be wasting less money. Essentials often associated with jfashion are leg warmers (color n material depends on your style), cute bags (lolita bags or thirft/DIY ones are a good starter option I think), but it's not a rule really. Try to dive into the movements I listed, and find what's the prettiest, most fun for you, and just go with it. Don't be afraid to ask for help too, I've noticed people are more than happy to list cool brands and websites!

Oh and also, I've ordered a sort of a lucky pack from Glitzy Wonderland recently. Reviews said it's a great starting point to collecting lolita clothes, and when it arrives I'll definitely post what I got and whether it's as good as reviews say.

You have nothing to feel stupid for tbh, like I said I totally understand the appeal of it. The fact that you decided to keep reading the asks despite thinking it would "ruin your chances" means you chose to form an informed opinion instead of following blindly, and that's something to be proud of!

Maybe presenting the situation to your friends in a similar matter would help- after all, if they are real friends that you should cherish, they will not dump you over such a silly thing. If shifting is real, perfectly logical, and impossible to dispute, then why are shifters discouraged from seeking opinions from the other side? If I heard someone saying the sky is red, it would not "change my perspective" on the factual color of the sky, would it? 100% belief in the words of strangers on the Internet is never a good decision, anyone can lie about anything they want. If someone online is asking you to have complete faith in them, that is a red flag and you should remove yourself from their influence at once. I would also recommend this video where the same youtuber goes on to dissect the CIA documents and other shifting "proof", as he seeks opinions of professionals on it and p much leaves no space for lies.

And lastly, for your nightmares I def recommend you talk to a therapist, because while shifting isn't real, there is a ton of other ways to get rid of them. Lucid dreaming is something that can be learned, and so are relaxation techniques and meditations which will give you a much healthier relationship with your subconsciousness than shifting ever could. And hey- your scripts and wishful thinking can always be repurposed for fanfics and daydreams where you can have fun around the clear distinction between reality and fiction! Mf finally washes his fucking clothes once he starts dating you. Doesn't smell like the bottom of the ocean on a regular basis anymore.

Dates are always chill and rarely super extravagant. Park dates are often but Dazai's truly preferred date is snuggling inside, watching a few movies and slipping in and out of naps.

Belladonna is his go-to petname for you, of course, but he may bounce around with other petnames for kicks.

He will start calling you weird shit if you ignore him for to long.

Never raises his voice at you unless its in some joking manner. On the rare occurrence that you two have an argument he would need to get extremely riled up before he resorts to raising his voice. He tries to have patience and usually succeeds.

Dazai gets SO soft and SO loving sometimes, and it can be out of no where or something minuscule could have sparked it. All I know is that its nice and cute 🥰

He's usually pretty vulnerable himself when he gets like that so match his energy, alright? If you don't he might end up a little sour for some short amount of time and be more hesitant to get like that

10/10 Lover. This is by no means an effortless relationship, its a constant battle of figuring out boundaries, running into walls and respecting them. Dating Dazai isn't toxic if you treat him right and when you do? It definitely pays off.

Made an effort to make sure he didn't drink too much and neither did you. He didn't want to take advantage of the possibility of you being drunk by the time he asks you out and he knows he himself has a low tolerance

Once the sun began to set is when he asks. Stutters a little bit towards the beginning but smooths it out.

Never yells at you, its pretty shocking. The only times he's ever raised his voice with you is when its very obvious that he's not genuinely upset with you. Almost for comedic affect because it is angry short boy Chuuya

One may think arguments are often with Chuuya, but they're sort of not. He may be a pretty stubborn individual but he never argues to argue unless its Dazai-

He always works towards and agreement to end the argument as soon as possible. He keeps his cool and will never raise his voice. You can barely call them arguments because of how much he tries to keep his cool.

When he's stressed or had a bad day he gets extremely quiet because he doesn't even want the opportunity to open his mouth and take it out on you. The only words he'll say to you while he's in that state is that he's stress and you didn't do anything wrong just to make sure you're not worried over it.

All and all? Chuuya is the best and there's no way around it. He has his faults but always tries to improve and be his best self for you :)
